Weekend Boater 03-21-2017 03:03 PM

Hi girls, waving. A quickie check in for now. I hope that your all having a good new day! I woke up feeling like I really had to push myself for a walk (must take advantage of the mild days now while I can) but it really helped once I got going. Aiming to make it a good day. I need to get my butt in gear now and do my tape. I also need to remember to sip on plenty of water tonight!

Some days I need to push myself and today is one of them!

Farn and taking control Awesome drops ladies! :carrot::carrot: yay on the whoosh Farn! They really are motivating! Do you enjoy walking outdoors?

kfunk hang in there, day by day, you will beat it! That can happen to me sometimes too and then the bugger starts moving again or there is a sudden drop or whoosh.

Britt and Morning Glory Congrats on the drops too! :carrot::carrot:

Oh I better get this bod moving again. I charged up my fitbit. Wishing everyone a good night, looking forward to catching up with you all soon.

opheliaphoenix 03-21-2017 03:36 PM

Thank you for giving me the heads up about this challenge, Weekend Boater! I was looking for something with "Summer" in the title, so I never even clicked on this one...lol. Didn't realize that this was the follow-up to the Spring challenge. D'oh!

I hope you guys don't mind me jumping in a little late! I'm a little nervous about this one, because we're getting read to move across the country -- (not sure if we're packing up in April to leave on the first of May, or packing up at the end of May to leave the first of June...waiting on the final word from our next duty station) -- but, either way, I know that there will be a stressful move and about a week on the road, since we'll be going up to my husband's hometown for a few days before heading out West. That's going to be a huge upset to both my eating and my exercise routine, so I think I need this challenge more than anything right now to help keep me on track.

Since I know I will be moving, I want to be kind to myself but also want to make sure I stay on track, so - since my weigh-in today was 246.0 on the nose - I will be setting my goal at 16 lbs lost to get down to an even number of 230 lbs.

SW: 246.0
CW: 246.0
GW: 230.0

Good luck to everybody! :luck2you:

P.S. Just switched out my challenge ticker to a Memorial Day one! :)

kfunk6113 03-21-2017 03:56 PM

Thank you Britt and weekendboater!!

Great job pushing yourself weekend, that is motivating to read!

Ophelia :wave:Hi!! Glad to see you! I hope that the move goes as smoothly as possible. You will do fantastic!

Scotsgal 03-22-2017 08:37 AM

Just popping in, sister had her baby, mum had an operation, Ive been busy busy busy.

So my weight is just the same, but I have been working on extra tummy exercises to hope to get those 3 inches off before the end of this challenge. I do standing ab crunches when I put the kettle on  double standards  but I am bring more in bit by bit.

Weekend Boater 03-22-2017 10:38 AM

Hi ladies  Happy new day! May it be a successful one for us all.

Ophelia :welcome2: No of course it's not too late, great to see you and have you here! :) Also , if anyone out there is thinking to join, please do so at any time during the challenge. Never too late to start or join.

Ophelia, I hear you on the moving! I am planning a move this summer as well but just not sure when that will be! I have been doing the same as you and signing up and going ahead with goals and when it happens, I will take it from there! lol I felt weary of it impeding my plans so I totally understand. Onward we go! :carrot:

kfunk Thanks girl for the encouragement! I pushed myself to do that tape after (Leslie Samsone Walk fat fast off) and I swear, after that I felt energy! I went for another walk with DH in the eve. Last night was beautiful, mild 50 degrees and no wind!

I knew that today the cold and blustery wind will hit and I wouldn't be able to get out for a few days. This week looks pretty icky so I will rely on indoor stuff and just take it day by day, I soooooo cannot wait until good weather! How is the weather where your at and do you go outdoors much?

Scotsgal hey you! : ) Congrats on your sisters baby! Your an Auntie! : ) I hope your mom is fine and healed from her operation. My mom was laid up for a few weeks last month but is fine now and back to her usual activities. Scots, I too have been working to whittle my tummy, waistline, love handles, etc. I noticed something the other day! You know that Leslie Samsone tape I have been doing? My waistline changed! I have been doing other stuff too but I am equating the change to that tape mostly, or so I believe. She does a lot of the crossovers! Anyhow girl, WTG on keeping up with the gym and I know your doing a lot of hard work there. Keep up the good work, your efforts will pay off and it will eventually show in all respects! :carrot:

A big hello to everyone else and all of you. Hope everyone had a good night.
I had chicken with brocc. and greek salad last night and I did sip my water. Tonight I am making zoodles! I am so happy the market carries it now, they have beet noodles and butternut squash noodles which I have yet to try! I like both vegetables, has anyone tried them?

Hope everyone's plans are going well and if not, today is a new day! I will report back later on if I can.

A big hello to everyone! I hope that you all had a good night.

Weekend Boater 03-23-2017 11:00 AM

the zoodles were delicious last night! No exercise yesterday, I had so many chores to do and cleaning. Just wanted to say hi and wish everyone a great day. The scale is moving again and I saw more of a loss on my WI this morning so I am happy. Amazing how much that bugger can dictate our day! lol I don't WI too frequently or I go nuts, so I am just focusing on each day and will check it in a few days.

Wishing everyone a great new day, catch you soon.

WebWoman 03-24-2017 10:02 AM

Good morning gals! I lost 2 pounds this week, but they were pounds I had gained the previous week ;-)
Hoping to get out more and it's much warmer her, although we're expecting some rain later. Tomorrow morning is my hill-walking group, so I look forward to that .... 5 miles up and down some pretty serious hills here in town.

Have a great and active weekend everyone, and May the Loss be with You!

brd88 03-24-2017 10:05 AM

Morning, everyone! Going to move from bite counting to OMAD with weekly WIs on Sundays! I have been binging, so I am afraid to check, but I'll face the music in a couple of days.
Happy Friday!

kfunk6113 03-24-2017 02:20 PM

scotsgal Congrats on your neice/nephew! I hope that your mom has a speedy recovery.

weekend That is awesome!! I have heard references to 'Leslie Samsone' and think its time I check out her videos! Yay, I'm glad that the zoodles were good! I also have been wanting to try them! I hope it warms up soon for you! It is supposed to be pretty nice where I am at and hope to take advantage of it this weekend! I love spending time outdoors! We have a ton of stuff to do inside so I am hoping we can get off our butts and finish so that we can spend our time outside instead!

webwoman Congrats on getting back to it and for the 2 lb. loss!! Those walks sound pretty intense!

Hey britt! What is OMAD? I am trying to figure it out, but am coming up empty! I think that weekly weigh ins are a good idea, the daily fluctuations on the scale drive me nuts. If I had enough inner strength I would do that too, but I am obsessed with weighing!

Weekend Boater 03-24-2017 03:46 PM

Hi girls :) it's great to come in and read your news. Happy Friday and start to the weekend.

It's very cold here and it snowed! It's a struggle for me when it's grey skies and we are in for a string of them with rain for about 5 days! Taking it one day at a time. Today I walked around the house a lot and finally got my tape (took me like 2 hours , lol) push, push , push! The idea was to mentally charge myself and tire myself out! I would say it worked  I don't mind one bit sitting with my feet up later and sofa surfing! Got in over 11k steps thus far. I wont be able to get out for walks so this is what is going to help keep my sanity right now, so thanks to the workouts and all of you chicks out there! :hug

WebWoman congrats on the drop! wtg girl :carrot: so what if you had gained that and got it off, you got it OFF and that is great! That hill walking group sounds great! Glad your having good weather for it, sounds like a serious walk indeed, burn baby burn! lol I think it's super that you found a group to walk with. " May the loss be with you" Good one Andi, I love it! lol :)

Britt Just keep at it, you will get it and that first successful OP day will lead to another! Be careful that the scale doesn't drag you down, rooting for you to fight it and beat it. Sometimes I just want to kick it! lol smiling funny you mention OMAD (one meal a day), I just saw that thread last week! There is a gal that runs the thread, I believe her nic is yoyomo (sorry if I got it wrong fellow New Englander ;) . I see her around in the threads, very knowledgeable and seems like a cool chick! Are you in her thread? Britt, just a thought......for me it would of been very difficult to go from binging (I was eating a lot before I started) to OMAD , I think I would need to ease in but that is just me. I don't mean to be discouraging or too forward, just please bear in mind not to be too hard on yourself if you don't do it from the getgo......it can take time when we make changes but I am sure the OMAD girls will be able to give you some good pointers. Please do keep us posted and I wish you much success :) I love to hear and learn about various plans.

kfunk I was totally obsessed too before so this time I tried something different. When I started South Beach on Nov. 14 I promised to just follow the plan and wait as much as possible (my weight fluctuates a lot too) and just focus on being on plan each day, putting my energy there and not letting the scale mess with my head. Then when I saw a good drop it was great motivation. I know this is not for everyone and weighing daily is very beneficial for many, I WI more now to keep an eye on things but I just needed that non WI somehow at the beginning. In a nutshell, I felt the same way and know what you mean.

Getting out over the weekend sounds wonderful! I hope you get your stuff done indoors and can get out and take advantage of that. Leslie Samsone has so many of them, the one I am doing is called walk fat off fast and I like that it has a 20 min, 30 min. and 40 min. segment so you can choose to do a shorter or longer workout. The music is cool and upbeat and she is very chipper and motivational. The gals had directed me to utube awhile back, maybe you can get a glimpse of them there first to see how you like her.

I do like to write! hahaha :) Thank goodness for the working out and you all at chicks, that's keeping me going through this icky weather. I have been OP (on plan) and sipping on water although I do notice when it's grey I tend to crave carbs more or comfort foods. Hm, probably psychological but also due to my long time old winter habits.

A big hello to everyone else and all of you

I hope your all having a good day. Making dinner later on, gr. chicken with red, orange, and yellow peppers and onions. I sautee the peppers in PAM a long time..until they get tender and browned a bit. Ok, more water now! lol :)

Happy weekend and :dust: to us all through the evening and weekend.

kfunk6113 03-24-2017 04:49 PM

Weekend I will check her out, thank you!~! So far I have been focusing on my diet but I really need to stop being so lazy and start working out. I like how you stretched out your weigh ins, especially in the beginning. I know I will retain water when I start exercising so I am going to take your approach and quit the daily weigh ins. How much have you lost since Nov?

I hope you catch a break and it doesn't rain every day as predicted. Gloomy weather makes me sleepy!

Your dinner sounds really good!! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Weekend Boater 03-25-2017 09:05 AM

Hi everyone  Wishing everyone a great new day.

I never hit the couch last night. DH and I went went to Home Goods to look for some odds and ends and we were busy fixing things after. Moved furniture the night before, plenty of steps, I was exhausted last night and went to bed early!

kfunk I did a WI just a few days ago and am 32.2 down and that is with a Feb. plateau of sorts (lost 1.5 in Feb). Things are moving again and I increased activity. My mom wants to try it so last night I printed out the food list from the south beach segment here.

It was good to get out for a drive to the store last night, keeping busy helps, thanks kfunk : ). Going for a visit to my parents today. Grey weather makes me feel lazy too! After this stretch though next week is supposed to get into the 50's and we will have sun again, I think this is it for the winter! Then it will start getting nice. You have a wonderful weekend too! :)

brd88 03-25-2017 01:06 PM

Hey, kfunk! OMAD means one meal a day, which I started yesterday successfully! I did wake up wanting to weigh this morning, but I have been holding strong. I really just need to keep it to weekly for my mental health. I have issues with feeling like a failure/inadequate, so seeing gains can really mess with me. I would rather not see gains and drops and gains again even if I end up at a net loss at the end of the week. I know I'm weird.

Hi, Weekend! Thank you for the encouragement and support!!! I did join an OMAD thread, but I don't know if it was started by yoyo. I have done OMAD before with success but got impatient with the slower loss. I am noticing that this is a trend with me. I'm very impatient with weight loss and abandon successful WOEs, and I am trying to break through that. For some reason, any type of fasting is never a struggle for me! I'm not quite sure why, but it seems like my body much prefers not getting a constant supply of food. When I did OMAD or other IF forms, I NEVER binged. But for whatever reason, spreading my food out over the day usually does end that way after a while. Who knows why....
Also, I LOOOOOOOVE caramelized peppers and onions, so I'm sure your dinner was delicious!

Happy Saturday, everyone!

kfunk6113 03-25-2017 08:43 PM

weekend 32 lbs is awesome!! Was the increase in activity enough to get things moving, or did you do other things to break out of the plateau? I should go to homegoods too, we moved into this house 2 years ago and we still don't have it the way that we want it! Hopefully this is it for winter and you can enjoy that sunshine coming your way!

Britt Thank you! When you are doing OMAD, what time do you usually eat? Do you ate a heavier meal than you normally would? I think its great that you found something that works for you! You are not weird at all, I think that the ups and downs of daily weighing can be really discouraging.

brd88 03-26-2017 08:35 AM

Ophelia: welcome! I hope your move goes smoothly!

kfunk: yes, you are supposed to have a meal with all of your calories for the day. I am not counting so I can give myself a mental break from being neurotic (I get very obsessive verrrrry quickly), so I have just been eating intuitively. It seems like my body likes that for now. I definitely underate on Friday so my hunger was elevated yesterday and I'm pretty sure I made up for it. I was trying to regulate my meal time so that I could make it dinner since I like to have a glass of wine every night, but yesterday I ended up eating around 4 PM. The day before, I ate around 6:30. From what I have read, it is best to choose a consistent window of time so your body expects it. It looks like I will have to play it by ear for a little while, and that might include eating during my workday and not getting to have wine some days :(

I am surprised to be at 161 after the disaster of a week I had, but I am NOT complaining! :carrot:

Weekend Boater 03-26-2017 09:18 AM

Good morning ladies  Happy Sunday and new day!

We have a pocket of sunshine this morning, woot! It is going to last until mid day and then bad weather again until Wednesday so I am getting ready to pop over to the market and get ingredients for my meal plans the next 3 days and go for a walk! I have a lot to do so I will utilize the bad weather by doing my indoor work here and workouts.

Being on good behavior last night paid off, so far so good ladies. I did a WI this morning and was down .9 more this month which motivated me. I have plans to go out next weekend to my fav. Mexican place but until then onto a new day here.

Britt I totally agree with kfunk, it is great that you have found something that works for you and ditto on that the scale and weight loss can be so frustrating at times. I see your new post just now! Oh it sounds like your getting off to a good start. :carrot: Regarding the wine or alcohol, I am not having any right now either but boy am I looking forward to next weekend! lol When I drink, I find myself often having to fight carb cravings the next morning, sometimes yes....sometimes no! Anyways, wtg on your OMAD thus far and wishing you another good and successful day.

kfunk Thank you! : ) As far as breaking the plateau, I knew I had to work hard to do it because I was getting frustrated and afraid of getting too discouraged. I tried having a few different meals, some things that were not on my menu or I was typically not eating, just something totally different. I don't have many carbs, I had a sandwich one day...also what I notice worked well for me was a mid afternoon snack between my lunch and dinner, like a hard boiled egg. I am assuming it revved my metabolism. I started eating more chicken again (which I had noted I did a lot in the beginning). Chicken always seems to work well for me, as does broccoli with it's natural diuretic effects. I started drinking more water again too, increasing steps and exercise, doing the tape more. Whatever happened or how or why, thank god! lol

kfunk you brought me good luck wishing me :sunny: I woke up to it today! tyty :) It should be out until noon so I am going right now to get my butt in gear and do a walk and market run. I hope you have a super day and that you all do.

A big hello to everyone else

Onto a new day we go girls, wishing it to be a good and successful one for us all.

kfunk6113 03-26-2017 12:48 PM

Britt YAY on your weigh in! That is a great way to start your week! I totally hear you on getting obsessive, I struggle with that as well! Thank you for answering my questions about OMAD, that and intuitive eating are very interesting to me!

wooohooo for the sunshine, weekend!! We spent the majority of our day shopping yesterday but cleaned up here and there. It has been a rainy weekend here, so we aren't missing out on being outside. We are going to try to find some furniture pieces for our bedroom today and then tidy up a bit more, get the kids ready for their week and that will take up the rest of the day. Awesome job on your loss, 5 more days to go!!

I love chicken and need to eat more of it! I also need to start moving! I am glad that you were able to find things to bust out of your plateau!!

Weekend Boater 03-26-2017 05:23 PM

Hi girls  Happy Sunday, hope your all well and having a good day.

I was up early and later took advantage of that window of sun with an hour long walk and got my grocery shopping done so that I am all set for the next 3 days or so. I picked up some haddock which I am making tonight along with a salad. I kept busy and active and got home when the front came in........I was so glad I got the walk in when it was still decent!

Down .9 this morning so I was happy to see that. Wanted to take it through the weekend and it was nice to see that reinforcement but let me tell you, I am already counting the days until next weekend lol :) but then I snap my mind back into focus on the now and today!

kfunk Thanks so much for the encouragement! : ) Sounds like good weather to shop and clean and do those types of things. I am totally not missing out on being out right now either! I was so happy to catch the good part of day and then happy and relaxed to be home once that front came in. I already put my robe on! lol After making dinner, I am more than content to hang on the couch with DH and the kitties. I hope that you have good luck hunting for your furniture. Do you have a fitbit? I am new at it, I just started wearing one hm maybe about 2 months now, it really helped to motivate me to move more. I am new with it so still fascinated with it all! lol :) HOpe you have a wonderful evening

and that you all do ladies! and yessssssss kfunk, 5 more days to go! :carrot: have to keep going, I think I am getting hungry...I better go start preparing dinner. Catch you all soon :)

brd88 03-27-2017 12:20 PM

Great job on your loss, weekend!!!

I am lucky in that I live in a tropical(ish) area, so I spent all yesterday recharging at the beach. I had a horrible case of cabin fever from being stuck in the house, and it was SO nice to get out and get some sunshine!

I hope everyone had a great start to their week :flow2:

kfunk6113 03-27-2017 12:30 PM

Weekend great job on your loss!! Glad to hear you got your walk and shopping in before the weather changed! No luck on the furniture, but we will keep looking! I don't have a fitbit, but if it motivates me to move more like it did you, I should look into getting one!! I am going to start lifting weights tomorrow night and then I will take a break from the scale until Saturday.

I am hoping that I can lose a 1-2 lbs. before Saturday, might not happen, but that would be nice!

Going to the beach in March sounds wonderful to me, I am envious, Britt!! It is going to be in the 50's this week where I am at, so enjoy your beautiful weather for me!!

I hope everyone has a fantastic day/week!!

Weekend Boater 03-28-2017 04:08 PM

Hi girls :) waving

Girls, firstly, thank you so much for your support and encouragement  It's really nice to come in and see your posts and I am happy we are all here together. I hope you had a great day.

As for me, more of the same for now but I am battling through it and keeping busy, Spring will come soon. I felt so lazy today! I didn't feel like doing my tape but got moving around the house and then did the 20 min. segment which helped. It's the last day of the week and I had to do the tape one more time to real my goals. I have kept busy all week and that has been good.

Britt Oh tropical weather! May I ask where your at, if you don't want to say I totally understand! I am glad you got out and went to the beach, broke that cabin fever, and had a nice time! Good! :) After I go to the beach (dreaming of it now..have been all winter, lol) I feel so good! I love the ocean! The views, the beauty, the smell of the fresh ocean air, the sun, the feel of soft sand between my toes, yes yes yes! hahaha :) I hope you get to go again soon! :)

kfunk Thank you! Yesss, I was so glad! The next day it poured and even with that going out that day (which was a good day) I still felt kind of cooped up and gloomy after so imagine had I not gone! Wishing you luck in finding the furniture. We need a coffee table (listing house) and have to go on the hunt again very soon! I hope they have them in stock in the store. Oh kfunk, regarding the fitbit, it really has made a world of difference. I wear my sneakers and walk around the house even, just moving! I walk now when I talk on the phone and park at the other end of the plaza when grocery shopping.....all those things I always heard and never did! lol smiling, the fitbit changed all that! Go figure! I seem to be challenging myself now, wanted to do as well as the day before or beating my scores, it's cool to see the progress. I hope you have a fantastic day too! :)

that you all do! Talk soon : )

Princessroja 03-28-2017 04:19 PM

Oo, it's late, but I'll join. My goal is 146, just a bit over eight pounds down from my current weight at 154.6. One pound a week for me! My hopes are high; I'm on goal so far this year (12.4 pounds in about 12 weeks).

Weekend Boater 03-29-2017 10:39 AM

Hi everyone

Hi Princessroja Congratulations on your loss and progress :cheer2: and :welcome2: Happy to have you join us, your not late, every day is a new day and a fresh start.

Please jump in anytime, the challenge is ongoing and each day is an opportunity to work on our goals whether it be making small changes, increasing activity, just making a start and or whatever your goals are.

How is everyone doing? Wishing us all a good day.

Yesterday went well , I didn't sleep well the night before though but I did manage to do the 20 min. segment of my tape and get my steps in. Onto a new day! I caught up with some good sleep last night and feel much better. Today I have a lot on my agenda and things to do. Goal for the day is to keep up with my activity, get steps in, and drink plenty of water which I did not do enough of yesterday.

Have a great day everyone :)

brd88 03-29-2017 02:11 PM

Welcome, Princess!
Weekend and kfunk, I live in Miami! We did get a bit of a "cold" spell early last week (mid-60s to very low-70s), but the weather was back to normal once Saturday came around! We're now back to the low- to mid-80s, which will be around for the next few weeks until we are firmly into the mid-80s for a while. I absolutely adore the beach and warm weather as well, so I am definitely going to get back into the habit of going at least once a week and going for a long walk outside weekly as well.

I binged on Monday, and I am now focusing on making sure I am eating enough at meal time. I ate more at mealtime yesterday and despite the fact that I had a horrible day emotionally, I didn't end up binging, which is what almost always happens when I am stressed. I think the key was eating until satisfied instead of what I was doing before, which was eating as little as possible to just not be hungry anymore. I will be giving myself permission to eat more for the rest of the month and all of April and allow my body to adjust along the way. I think I will probably end up maintaining or gaining at my next WI since I had been restricting, but I know it will eventually work out to a downward spiral. I know the weight loss will be much slower as well, but I would much rather just eat more and not binge. I hate that panicked feeling and feeling out of control and yearning for comfort before and during a binge. I know that the first step is to make sure I am eating enough and then I need to work on my emotional baggage without using food.

kfunk6113 03-29-2017 04:59 PM

Weekend You are very welcome, and thank you as well for your encouragement!!

Great job on making your goal with your tapes even though you didn't feel up for it. You inspire me, because usually if I don't feel like it, I wont. Last night I did lift weights even though I was really tired and just wanted to go to bed, it felt really good!

Good luck finding a coffee table that you like, and good luck listing your house! Are you excited to move? I found a dresser at a thrift store that I love, but they are not selling it until April 7th. It probably will sell by the time I get back there after work, but I hope not! It is perfect, everything that we are looking for!

I think that I would also challenge myself to beat my previous days steps if I had one, I am glad that you are getting so much from yours! I am going to look into getting one!

Hi Princess  I hope that you make your goal!

Britt The mid 80's sounds amazing!! We are still in the 50's here and I can not wait for it to warm up, I am always freezing! Getting to the beach more often would be awesome, I hope that you can do it!

I think that your plan of eating more during your meal is a good idea. I used to binge almost every day and it is really hard to get out of the cycle. I am confident that you will find the approach that works for you and that you will be successful! Great job on not binging yesterday!!!

brd88 03-29-2017 05:21 PM

Thanks, kfunk! You are so positive and supportive. I really appreciate that.

Weekend Boater 03-30-2017 09:00 AM

Hi ladies

BrittOh yes, nice weather there. Cold spell at 60's and 70s? lol , smiling here. I totally understand, when you get accustomed to the warm weather it can and does feel cold at that temperature. It's been in the 30's here and the coldest month so far all winter! Not supposed to be but anything is possible in New England. We are due for snow this weekend but today is beautiful, 50 and sunny! It sounds like a nice plan to take advantage of that, yes : ) it really gave you a lift that last time. Regarding last Monday and all that you said I just want to commend you for getting back to it and fighting the binging when you were stressed the other day :carrot: wtg girl! When I am stressed, it makes everything harder for me. It sounds like you have a plan in place and are focusing on making those changes right now and not putting all of your energy on the scale which is great! I wish you a great day today, keep up the good work :)

As for me, when I am under stress or emotionally upset or agitated about something I get a type of nervous energy and I also am still practicing handling that type of energy with constructive outlets...it's been heading out for a walk or going to do my tape, and keeping busy. What are some things that help you all at times like those?

kfunk ty ...smile. Oh good for you on your exercise regiment last night and feeling good :carrot: Thanks for the well wishes regarding the house, I am a bit anxious to get it all set up but it will come...I will be very happy when we find the right coffee table!

I am excited to move, although this place is beautiful we are excited to move back to our old hometown and near my parents. I see it as a new chapter and we have exciting plans going on for there. It will be busy but a fun busy. I will be near the ocean again too

Maybe the can hold the dresser for you? If you know you want it and are planning to purchase it after work I would think they would hold it for you or maybe you want to take a second look at it, it's nice you found something you love and hope it's there for you. Wishing you a great day : )

to all of you

Princess and to all of you , a big hello.

I better move my tail, as for me yesterday went well, I was very busy and active and totally ignored the rotten weather. Today is nice! Wishing a great new day for us all. Oh, I made zoodles last night with meat sauce. Catch up soon.........hugs and happy Thursday :)

Hi, Weekend: yeah, it definitely is relative! I am from the DC area originally and went to college and grad school in the Appalachians, so I would have killed for a "cold" 60 degree day! I am loving living here now where snow is not a thing (I hope you don't get it this weekend!), and I can get by with a cardigan and/or light jacket on the coldest days.

Thank you for commenting about fighting through the binge. I had to get through another very rough emotional day yesterday and I was nearly 2 seconds from binging for most of the night. I am lazy, so I will copy-paste what I put in another thread:
I am abandoning OMAD for now after really struggling yesterday (you were right, Weekend!). I need to focus on working through my binging behaviors, and I think my body is confusing fasting with starving right now (maybe because I am dealing with a lot of other stressors), and the urge to binge always escalates when I have been restricting. I have never had problems in the past with forcing myself not to binge while practicing IF, but this time seems to be very different.
For now, it was recommended by a friend who also has BED to try eating something small 5-6 times a day (at least every 3 hours). I usually experience hunger and want to eat around 11 everyday (I work a 11-7 schedule), so I will be eating on a pattern of 11, 2, 5, 8, and 11 (this will likely just be my regular glass of wine before bed). I think this will be a better way to thwart binging and help me to lose those 2 pounds per week. I really hope this works!

When I get really stressed, I TRY to go for a walk, practice yoga, meditate, or journal. The issue is that I know those things help, and I always feel better afterwards, but I hardly ever can muster up the energy to do them when the time arises. When I get in a routine of doing them regularly, though, it works as a preventative measure and doesn't seem like such a heavy lift when I am stressed. I think I just talked myself into being better about doing these things. I need to make new goals for April.

Britt, It sounds like your working so hard on finding that way or spot for you that works and that is cool! Your plan sounds great! I know we are all different but a similar plan worked for me! I never let myself get too hungry and by being able to snack on my snack packs and this and that really helped me. That is just me though! You keep on shining girl :) we all need to find our ticket and what works best for each and every one of us, I do like your approach very much...It worked for me. I used to not eat all day (not intentionally though) and then go ga ga at night, that is the reason I started following a plan this time. I actually had to make a big effort to have lunch, yeap, and get myself on a schedule. Anyways, we are all so unique and must work and find what works best for us but I am excited for you! :)

Congrats on your efforts and thank you for keeping us posted. Keep up the awesome work! :)

As for my day, I woke up on the wrong side of the bed! lol Amazing how much a days difference can make. I did not sleep enough and that is never good! I have been so busy and wanted a break, though I did do some walking tonight. I took my chair and sat in the sun a bit to get my vitamin D! lol yes, it was only 50 degrees but in the front of the house it felt so warm and nice, I tell you! I even lathered myself in oil!

So ready for bed right now and I need it so I will be heading off and I look forward to seeing you all soon : ) Happy Friday and weekend! Yes we are due for a storm and everyone here is disgusted but I wont blow a gasket over it..........I figure I will work on getting skinny while all these crazy things are going on! lol Now there is a thought!

kfunk6113 03-31-2017 08:49 AM

Britt you are welcome and you are encouraging to me as well  I think that it is really good that you are experimenting to find a way of life that will work for you. It is crazy to me how things work in the past, but sometimes aren't right at the moment, that has happened to me several times! Good luck!!!

weekend We sold our old home a couple years ago, and it is a ton of work!! I am glad that you are excited to move back to your home town and closer to your parents :D

I have been looking at fitbits and trying to figure out which kind I want. I am leaning towards the Alta HR, I like the idea of being able to monitor my heart rate. Which one do you have?

I am going to go back a couple days before and see if they will put it on hold and that way I can look at it again, good idea!! I hope that you find the perfect coffee table!

You made me smile when you said that you lathered yourself in oil sitting outside :D I cant wait to feel the warmth of the sun again! And I love your plan of getting skinny while the other folks worry about what the weather is doing!!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend!!! TGIF :carrot:

Weekend - yay! I am happy for your testimonial! I have been a bit hesitant because I am just not used to eating so often. I'm happy to "know" someone who was successful at it! And I am SUCH an advocate of getting vit D through the sun! The sun really does energize and invigorate me in a way I can't quite explain. But I am noticeably more lethargic when I am unable to get my daily fix - even if it's just going for a 5-minute walk. Good for you!

Kfunk - thanks for the encouragement! I have the FB Charge 2, and I absolutely love it! If everyone gets FitBits, I wanna be buddies! :D

Princessroja 03-31-2017 12:45 PM

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Had a bit of a sharp drop today to 153.4; I hope it stays! Either way it was nice to see. :)

brd88 03-31-2017 01:48 PM

Awesome drop, Princess!

kfunk6113 03-31-2017 02:48 PM

Britt we can totally be fitbit buddies!! I take a painfully long time to make a decision, but hopefully I will order it this weekend:D

Way to go Princess!!

Weekend Boater 03-31-2017 08:39 PM

Hi

OMG! You guys are real sweethearts! So glad you are here!

Me too, me too! I want to do the fitbit buddy thing lol. It will be new for me, I have no one on it and kind of intentionally, I am weird that way. I would loveeeeeeee to join you girls! I am still new at it and learning the bits, I am bright in some ways but totally a dip I fell in techy ways! lol Oh well, I call it as I see it. I can't be all that bad, I have manually rid my pc of Trojans in the past but eeeeek, I need help! What I can say is that we got the fitbit at Sams club and I will ask DH which version it is. I really think it would be wonderful for us to help one another along in this way! I am so in girls!

Princess congrats on the drop! :carrot::congrat: Thanks for sharing with us all.

kfunk what a pleasant post! Thank you so much! Girl, we are having a snow storm so not sure what is going to happen but I decided not to stress and what will be will be. Keep us posted on that dresser please, as for me, ay ay ay, I think I will be housebound all weekend but it actually could end up being a good thing, DH will be stuck with me......poor man! lol :) I promised myself not to worry and just do the best I can. I can totally understand taking time to make a decision! Smart! You will know when it is right, happy weekend! :)

Britt hey you :) I hope that you had a wonderful day today, that you all did. I know we can get down on ourselves when we don't do things just perfectly right or what we thing we should do (well that is me, lol) but let's remember that making an effort every day is so important and in the end we will nail this thing! :) I love to be buddies! I hope you gals teach me how! lol

My news girls, not too much really. I hate to complain but it has been a horrendous month weather wise, everyone here is disgusted. We are actually in a snowstorm and will be all weekend, well through tomorrow. DH and I had plans to go out but I don't see that happening. I have accepted it! Today I needed a break from my routine so did no exercise, nothing! I just wanted a day off before starting our new month. I am taking today to regroup, if you will , and work on my mind for our new month. The body follows the mind, or so I believe. I felt a bit of a cold when I woke up girls but now feel ok so so far so good! I wish you all a fantastic night and I look forward to seeing you guys soon! Let's keep on truckin' :carrot: Thank you again for the encouragement, it goes a long way! Hugs :)

Princessroja 03-31-2017 08:54 PM

Aw, thanks everyone! You all are so sweet and encouraging! May our eating and exercise habits all go well and our scales all drop tomorrow :P Can't wait to keep going in this thread during the challenge!

Weekend Boater 03-31-2017 08:58 PM

Oh Princess that is so nice! Glad to have you aboard and yay on that! : ) That is awesome! Yes, let's stick together. Snow or high water, I will be here, lol

Tabbycat 03-31-2017 09:34 PM

Well, the end of the month seems like a good time to make a progress report.
I started at 138 and I have lost 5 pounds.
I have another five to go, and I know they won't part with me easily!
