Thumbs up June Exercise Challenge

Let's jump into summer in June with our exercise energy!

State your exercise goal and track it throughout the month with this supportive group of fellow exercisers. We'll compile our workout goals into a list. As each goal is met during the month, it gets turned RED in celebration.

This thread is for fitness and exercise goals. For other weight loss goals, be sure to see our sister thread: June Weight Loss Challenge.

8 Strength-training sessions

OK, Ms GardnerJoy, I'll have another go! Swimming does me good, so I'll stick with that.

...so GOAL: 15 visits to the pool in June.

May goal: 40 miles, 5x strength train (ST), plan workouts weekly

---

Week 1 Plan:
Monday: P.M. Strength at gym
Tuesday: P.M. Rest
Wednesday: A.M. HIIT at gym, 2.5 miles
Thursday: A.M. Run - 2.5 miles
Friday: A.M. Run - 1 mile
Saturday: A.M. Run - 3.5 miles
Sunday: A.M. Run - 3 miles

= 12.5 miles total

I'm sure most of those A.M. runs will turn into P.M. runs, but that's what goals are for :P It wouldn't be a goal if it was easy haha!

First time doing this.

Pilates - 9 times this month
Cardio or Strength = 12 times this month
Stretching - 4 times this month
note for myself: ban on cathe friedrich video until I lose more weight, they are a little beyond me and I need to work up to them. Some are ok, but we'll save them for later since they are making my head hurt.

June 1 - 1/9 pilates done
June 3 - 2/9 pilates. 1/12 CoS I missed CoS yesterday so will try and get to the treadmill today. made it to the treadmill 25 min.
June 4 - 2/9 Pilates 2/12 CoS - scale was very good to me this morning, so will see if I can do more cardio.
June 5 - 3/12 CoS- Line dancing over an hour..I didn't think it would be a workout, but I was sweating and worked up a pain in my side...so counting it.
June 6 - 3/9 pilates 1/4 stretching...didn't want to do it, but one day missed would have meant a slow snowball till I failed so I got up.
June 8 - 4/12 CoS -didn't want to d it, but refused to miss a day. actually enjoyed the treadmill once I got going.
June 9 - 5/12 Cos 4/9 Pilates...don't like doubling up...but its done.
June 10 - 5/9 pilates at home
June 10 5/12 Cos zumba at the gym
June 11 6/12 CoS strength at home. Nice to be half way done.
June 12 7/12 Cos was kind short since I was trying out a new DVD.....
June 13 8/12 coS and 6/9 pilates....weird I'm so close to being done, but I think since I"m doing home and gym workouts its going faster. So only counting home workouts from now on. next month I'll adjust
June 16 9/12 CoS - been 3 days since my last workout.....and this was the first day in a while I had to talk myself into doing it, so lesson learned i can't core more than 3 days without doing something.
june 17 10/12 CoS - again sorta didn't want to get up, but I have a weigh on Sat so focused.
June 18 11/12 CoS - Denise Austin...wasn't horrible once I got past her voice.
June 22 - 12/12 Cos - DONE....really wouldn't have been this consistent if I hadn't had this challenge...really happy and the scale is moving in the right directions
June 23 - 7/9 Pilates
June 26 - 8/9 pilates was going to add some cardio but meh I didn't....and I"m going line dancing tonight so it will be ok.
June 30 9/9 pilates - Goal met

I challenge myself to run 50km (31 miles) in June.
I was only 2km short in the May challenge.

May goal: 40 miles, 5x strength train (ST), plan workouts weekly

6/1: 1/5 ST

Had to switch up my plan a bit yesterday. Brought the wrong shoes to the gym so no running for me! 10 minutes on the Arc trainer and strength training instead. I'll do the HIIT tonight. Weather is not looking promising for an outdoor run tomorrow.
