I've missed so much the last couple of days. I need to catch up. I'm still on plan. I really need to increase my water intake and up the exercise. The scale didn't move for me last week. Delphi I'm so jealous lol. I wish I were on vacation right now. Enjoy every minute of it:) Jacqui I'm so glad that scale is moving in the right direction for you:) Leah I'm so sorry about your kitty. That's a very hard thing to go through, I still haven't gotten over losing my dog last September. Our furbabies are like our children. Congrats to all who has made goal or close to it. Good Morning Everyone. The scale went down for me 2lbs, I'm doing the happy dance this morning. This means I made goal :carrot:. I lost a total of 8.8 lbs this month. That fast that I did yesterday really gave me a kick.

Good morning ladies! Just a quick check in from me today, hopefully I can find time to do personals soon. :) We're here in sunny (miserably hot and dry) California and the kids are enjoying the pool and I'm enjoying hanging with my mom and sister.
I managed to workout every day and my mother's scale has been kind. I tested it for accuracy (with some hand weights) and was surprised with a good size loss after not weighing in for two days. I woke up with a migraine. Although I took something to knock out the migraine, I also ate no carbs, no salty foods and drank lots of fluids. Today, the headache is gone and my weight is back down. I'm going to try to stick to low carbs, no salt and no packaged foods or restaurant foods for a couple of days. iDream That hot and dry weather in California can be miserable. My favorite place to cool off is Will Rogers State Beach, which is a lovely, very cool, and not so miserable, place to spend the day. It's not as popular as some of the other beaches and so it is less crowded. Hope you have a lovely time in CA |

I handed in my 2-weeks notice today. I'm not going to go into the details too much but just know that it was all around bad. I was hired as a sales associate, day one I was promoted to manager, my second weekend at the store I was left to run it entirely by myself with very little training. There are a lot more issues sprinkled in there but it would take too long to go into. I wasn't originally planning on leaving because in my mind I saw that as becoming a quitter but my close friends and loved ones convinced be that there is a big difference between being a quitter and having self-respect. Jacqui knows from other posts that I've been struggling to even eat enough on days that I work there and that's because I'm not even able to get adequate breaks. It's not even legal in the US to work an 8.5 hour shift and not get a 30 minute lunch break.
I have a second job lined up that's seasonal and I've worked there for the last 3 years and love it. That'll start in a couple weeks. Leah, I am so glad to hear you are quitting that job! So many times I wanted to suggest that, but of course, that wasn't my place. Only you know what is best for your circumstances, but I was concerned for your well-being. When you don't have time to eat but can only hope to get a Jamba Juice in, and those are the conditions you must face day after day with no foreseeable change in the near future, that's just outrageous, and yes, illegal.
