Delphi ~ you sneaky girl! Posting when I was previewing my post! LOL I even refreshed the page several times to be sure I wasn't missing anyone! Your boys are almost the same ages as my kids. Oldest will be 15 in October, middle just turned 12 but is the tallest at 5' 9 1/2"!!! Girls will be 9 in August. Girl do I know about the eating...oh my heavens. Our grocery bill is insane! How many years until they move out? ;) LOL I'm a month into the P90X3. I did the regular P90X last time, but with all four kids home 24/7 now, I just can't workout for 60-90 every morning...yet. I did C25K before this, made through that last week and went to this...I have decided that running is not for me, at least not on the treadmill. lol Don't get caught up in that downward spiral girl! You got this! It was one day. Don't let it turn into two...or three...or five years!! Just shake it off and make today count! Eat your normal calories, reducing probably won't do anything but make your body pout. LOL When's the Big Day?
JacquiD ~ you snuck in there too! Congrats on that pound gone!!! :woohoo: You are sooooo close to Onederland!!!! Woo hoo!!! |
Oh my gosh all you gals you do personalized posts! I appreciate them, just don't have time for them!
Just very happy the mostly stalled scale decided to move today. Hoping it's not a fluke!. 6.1 pounds left to go for the month! (Down 2.5). |
Jacqui Great drop!
iDream Thanks! I see you lost a pound too so congrats! I'm a little bummed that my fitbit is dying and I've lost my charging cord. I bought a new one on amazon so it should be here by Saturday but I have a really busy day today and I want to see how many steps I get. I might have to use my old fashioned pedometer and manually input my steps. 6/1 - 206.5 6/2 - 206.5 6/3 - 205.5 6/4 - 205 - Officially lost my first 10 pounds. Granted I'm sure most of that is water weight, since it's only been a week and a half but I'm sure there's some real loss in there too. 6/5 - 6/6 - 6/7 - |
Good Morning Everyone:) Let's have a great day, it's almost TGIF!
Jacqui: Congrats on another pound gone. You are doing great! Delphi: You are doing great. We all have those days were we slip up, the good thing is you came onto the forum for support and today will be better day for you:) Scout83: I wouldn't have changed the starting weight either. You're going to have a great month, just wait and see! iDream: You are really doing awesome with your progress, I hope to accomplish the same results. GordonGirl16: You'll be out of those 180's very soon. Just stick to your healthy eating and incorporate the exercise and the scale should start to move in the right direction. Can't wait to see your progress. Have a great day everyone. I'll check in later |
JenDestiny, CONGRATS!
So happy for everyone. Keep at this! |

Hey guys,
Weighed in today at 81kg (178lb).. A loss of 3.4kg since June 1st :) :spid: My goal for June was to get into the 70's, it's looking more positive now!! |
Delphi - Sorry you had an off day, but you will get it back and be on your way.
JenDestiny - way to go on breaking that barrier! Great job to everyone on all of the drops so far this week...June is off to a great start. Thanks for keeping me inspired! I weigh tomorrow so we will see what's in store for me... :dizzy: Have a great Friday everyone! |
Checking in. Hope all you ladies (and any gents) are having a wonderful week. So far so good for me.

I am home! And I have to tell you, I am so curious to see how my scale stacks up with my Dad's! I figure mine can't be any more than 3 lbs heavier. :crossed: That would have put me at 204 today. I'll take that!
Aclai, Great job! Keep it up! :woohoo: Noggs, I hope you have a great weigh-in tomorrow! :goodluck: Ambience, woohoo! :yay: Look how close you are! I just know you're going to make it! Hepzibah, yay on the drop! Keep it going! You're doing great! :cheer: Lovemylife, thanks! I know I am due for a stall but I'm enjoying this while I can!! :D Cat, I agree! Everyone's very determined and it's great to see! :spin: Leah, thank you! Congrats on being down 10 lbs!!! :bravo: BerryBB, yay on the scale movement! :goodscale: Sandye, thanks! And woohoo on your lb down too! :cp: GGirl, hang on! Those 180's are about to be gone forever! Delphi, You know, you might want to take the quote in my signature and change it to fit your situation. Ask yourself each morning (or each time you're feeling tempted), "On my wedding day, what will I wish I had done today?" I'm pretty sure your answer will not be "Eat an extra Twix." ;) |
SW - 169.9
6/1/ - 170.6 6/2 - 170.9 6/3 - 172.3 6/4 - 171.4 6/5 - 171.3 Come on!!! That's all??!@#$# GW - 164.9 I'm getting a little pissy! Been sticking very closely to points and barely a budge on the scale. We've been working hard in the yard every evening, but I guess I'm not burning enough calories. So sad that I've been working all week to get the popcorn indulgence off. Oh well... just keep swimming! (Sorry, Nemo reference). |
Well, my Dad's scale was lighter, probably by 3.5 lbs, because today I weigh 204.5. I was skeptical of the jump down from 209.5 here to 206 there, which is why I kept putting my weight in parentheses while I was there. So unless I am suddenly pre-TOM today or holding water because of my "strenuous workout" at the walk park , my scale is heavier, and I'm going by my scale, so back up to 204.5 for me! Hey, that's still 5 lbs less than when I left for Nashville and 15.5 lbs less than I weighed last month, so I'm thankful! :carrot: So I'm adding 3.5 lbs to my starting weight, and well I can't go for 200.5!
So Joy, please change my goal to 6.5 lbs, and I'll try for an even 200! :cp: Boating, just stick to it and I bet you'll have a whoosh coming! SW: 206.5 GW: 200 CW: 204.5 6/1: (203) 206.5 6/2: (202.5) 206 6/3: (202) 205.5 6/4: (201) 204.5 6/5: 204.5 6/6: 6/7: |
Good Morning Everyone:)
Boatingmommy: I understand your frustration with the scale. I also am on weight watchers, but like with any weight loss plan, you can be very meticulous with your food and exercise and sometimes the scale barely moves. I'm sure that it will start to move for you, so don't worry, you're doing great:) Jacqui: I totally understand the scale differences. The scale that I have at home is just a regular digital scale and the one that we have at work in our Wellness Center is a doctors scale, so I've been using the scale at work. I will probably just continue to weigh in on that one, just for that reason |
TGIF :carrot:
So, first off, its Friday (my day off) and I'm checking in as per goal and to keep my butt in check. Secondly, just want to thank everyone for the encouragement. Lord knows I needed it. So, yesterday, I basically detoxed. Drank plenty of water and after work I took the boys walking around the neighborhood. Stayed really busy and then I wake up this morning and I'm down 3 pounds. I stalled out for no reason at the end of last month after TOM, so I am thinking my body is playing catch up. But I'll take it. So I have no clue what the day has in store for me today. Perhaps some errands this morning and I may put in some OT with work for an hour or 2...MAYBE. So, here is to wishing all you wonderful people a happy and healthy weekend. Enjoy!!! boatingmommy ~ It will come. I know its frustrating. Hopefully you will see that whoosh soon. Jacqui ~ Had a chuckle at that but sooooo true. I was much better about controlling my calories last time around. I think its the old mentality that keeps trying to infect my thoughts. I think that something we all struggle with at some point. Welcome back home. I hope your scale surprises you this morning in a good way. (I guess you posted while I was posting.) That sucks about the scale but hey, you are almost to ONDERLAND and will be there very soon. Aclai4067 ~ :bravo: You are looking good. Noggs ~ Thanks  The inspiration around here is just infectious. Good luck on your weigh-in tomorrow. Ambience ~ Awesome. Keeping that positive mindset will do wonders for you as well. Glad things are looking up for ya. lovemylife001 ~ Thanks for the support. It really does help move my butt right along. Its people like you that make my journey all the more uplifting. So thanks again. LovelyLeah ~ Soooo, how do you like your fitbit. I'm in the market for another tracker type device. THough more interested in one that shows daily calorie output. berryblondeboys ~ :congrat: on the movement. SAndye ~ :woohoo: on the loss. That downward trend looks good on you. Thanks again, for giving me a swift kick yesterday. Needed that. I had to laugh a little about the personals comment. It does take a while and for the life of me I have to keep checking the smilies because I just can not remember anymore..lol! Thanks for all the info on P90X as well. I'm in this weird spot where I'm trying to change up the routine again, so I'm diligently researching etc. Hope you post another loss today. You are doing an amazing job. Oh, keeping track of the wedding in my ticker. 03/19/2016. I did meet a special guy about 9 years ago. Of course we have been living together for about 4 years now, so yeah. Its been a great ride. I was never one of those girls who wanted to get married much less have a wedding, so this whole thing is freaking me out. But, he and his mother really wanted a wedding and well, I guess I just love them so much I obliged. But, I am the last person in the world that should be planning a wedding with frills and dresses and color patterns ...and blah blah blah blah..lol! __________ SW: 237 GW: 227 06/01: 236 06/02: 235 06/03: 235 06/04: 236 06/05: 232 |

GordonGirl ~ I can relate to not wanting to workout...but you are so right! It will kick start your body and get the pounds flying! You can do it!!! berryblondeboys ~ congrats on the loss!!:carrot: LovelyLeah ~ :carrot: WOO HOO Ten pounds is awesome!!!:carrot: That first 10 is glorious and definitely something to be proud of! WTG!!! lovemylife ~ Thank you! I have no doubt you'll hit your goals!!! :) hepzibah ~ congrats on the loss!! Ambience ~ :woohoo: Awesome loss!!! WTG! Noggs ~ Sending you lots of Happy Scale vibes for tomorrow!! :) Aclai4067 ~ You're doing fantastic!! :) boatingmommy ~ I'm sorry about your stubborn scale. I have felt the same way for the last month. I'm sure your body is changing and that's far more difficult to gauge than a number on a scale. Keep up the great work and your scale will eventually catch up. JacquiD ~ don't ya hate it when you have to rely on a different scale? I'm leaving for CA for a month in a couple of weeks and have contemplated brining my scale with me. LOL You have made great progress so far!! Wow! Keep up the great work! Delphi ~ :woohoo: Congratulations!!! That is one impressive loss there girlie! HAHA! I hear ya on the wedding stuff (how did I miss the dang ticker?!), I am not a girlie girl and was not thrilled about planning a girlie girl wedding...however, I'm sure you will be sure to add your awesome style to it easy peasy!! I am so happy for you! Now, is the the boy who mowed your yard? Does that ring a bell at all? I remember you mentioning a guy who mowed your yard way back when...Any time you want to know about P90X or P90X3...feel free to ask me. Delphi I love my fitbit. I have the Flex and the One. I got the Flex for free. The lost and found at my college just puts everything out that's been unclaimed on a table and anything is up for grabs so I picked it up. I previously had a One and I loved it but I wanted something for my wrist. I use my phone to check my calorie output for my Flex. I gave my One to my mom and the One shows you right on the screen. They have other wrist trackers that you're able to see the output I believe. The only downside for me is the battery. It last about a week. But since I don't use it for sleeping I plan to just charge it at night once I get my replacement charger.

Hmm...pretty sure my scale is broken from the move. It's reading 183.6 and then 185 and then 187 and so on. I would love to be at 183.6, though! I think I'll stop weighing until I get a new scale but just keep doing what I'm doing :)

Delphi, I have a Fitbit charge HR, it measures your heart rate constantly without the need for a chest strap! It's fantastic! As I'm walking or running it motivates me to pick my pace up, it tracks what my resting heart rate is while I sleep, and as one gets fitter their resting heart rate usually improves so I'm excited to see that! At the moment it's 57 resting.
It also doubles as my watch for work! I'm just loving it :) |
Good morning and Happy Saturday!! I hope everyone is having a great morning!!
nonameslob ~ WTG on the loss! Awesome job! Nothing beats making that scale move after it being stuck! :) Gordongirl ~ Great job!! Over two lbs in five days!! :carrot: Turtle11 ~ Moving right along! You are so close to your last 10 pounds!! How exciting!! Woo hoo! :cb: CatRN78 ~ :woohoo: WOW!! Great loss!! Keep up the amazing work!! VickieLou ~ You have made amazing progress!! You're going to be in Onederland in no time!! :) LovelyLeah ~ I know you were telling Delphi, but thanks for the info on the FB, I have been contemplating getting one and know next to nothing. :) Scout83 ~ That sounds like a great plan! Could it be that you just need a new battery? My scale goes all wonky when the battery starts to die. Ambience ~ Thank you too for the FB info! :) I'd be curious to see my sleep patterns, maybe then I could have prove that I sleep better when hubs is out of town. LOL ;) Last day of my workout week and I'm looking forward to my day off tomorrow. Hubs has got a brisket on the grill and I can't wait to tear into that bad boy (with moderation of course ;) )! Ambience I really want a Charge HR. I have a disorder called Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia (IST). My resting heart rate can get up into the 120s when I'm not on medication. It's not too bad and my heart is healthy but we're not meant to be having a cardio workout just lying down. I've used other heart rate monitors in the past but I hate the chest strap. I really want the Charge HR but it's out of my price range for now.
iDream I don't trust my fitbit's sleep interpretation. It only measure when you move. Say I wake up in the middle of the night and then just lay there staring at the ceiling. If I'm not moving it will interpret that as sleep. But it will pick up on things like if you're really tossing and turning. But it's not consistant. It'll show I had a ad night on a good night and a good night on a bad night sometimes. SW: 206.5 6/1 - 206.5 6/2 - 206.5 6/3 - 205.5 6/4 - 205 6/5 - 205 6/6 - 204.5 6/7 - GW: 199.5 |

GW: 302 6/05: 307.8 6/12: 6/19: 6/26: So far June has been good for me, I just have to be mindful on the weekends of what I am eating and drinking. Trip to the doctor yesterday for allergy problems and I have decided that I am not getting on their scale again unless it is first thing in the am. When I weigh myself at home it's first thing in the morning before I get in the shower, but going to the doctor at 4:30 in the afternoon after a day full of meals and like a gallon of water...that scale really plays with your mind. Oh and my doctor and I looked at my weight progress while I was there, turns out my starting weight was 5lbs more than I thought :o don't know how I missed that. I guess on the bright side that just means I have lost 5 more lbs... Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!! |

Just stopping by after a busy day of shopping. Now off to do some gardening. I hope everyone has a great weekend. And remember we can stay on track for the weekend, Sat and Sun is just another day:) |
A nasty little lb decided to jump on me today, lol! Actually, my RA is flaring up and I'm sure the inflammation isn't helping my scale. But on the bright side, today is cheat day! I'm always happy about that! :D

Mine is digital, but it's not as accurate as some people's. Mine only measures in .5 increments. Many people on here have scales that measure in .1 increments, which is nice! Using the Wellness Center scale is good idea! :goodscale: Delphi, congrats on the whoosh! :woohoo: Sandye, I think it's a smart idea to take your own scale to CA! Are driving or flying? Noname, woohoo on the new low! :yay: Gordongirl, steady 170's are in your very near future! :cp: Turtle, congrats on another new low! :flame: Cat, yay on the whoosh! Your dedication is paying off! Scout, what you're doing is working, scale or no scale! :flow2: Leah, congrats on the drop! :dancer: Noggs, wow! you're doing fantastic! :bravo: VickieLou, a new low, woot woot! :carrot: |
I update my weigh in on page two every day, but I said I would post a weekly update. Got a nice whoosh this morning to make me exactly at 4 pounds lost. Woohoo! Probably all of that won't stick, but it's showing the trend at least!
|
berryblondeboys ~ :carrot: Glad you saw that whoosh.
Jacqui_D ~ Do you think the RA flares affect the scale? Do we retain more water during those flares? That would explain why the scale just acts weird for me sometimes. Because of my job, my hands are in a constant state of flare. My RA is steady in the hands but different days I experience different joint/limb pain. It likes to move a lot. Never thought that it could affect my weight loss. lovemylife001 ~ Gardening sounds relaxing. Anything specific you are growing? I don't have a garden per se but I do love my flowers. They take some attention but I love taking care of our yard. ( Just wish the bums down the street would.) Enjoy! LovelyLeah ~ Thanks for the information. Apparently, they are really popular. There are just so many choices out there now. Its always good to get those reviews from a friendly source. So thanks again. Hows the scale treating you? Hopefully well. VickieLou ~ :congrat: on hitting Onederland. Noggs ~ Well wasn't that a nice surprise. You are further along then you thought. Thats awesome. Now keep up the great work. Ambience ~ Thanks for the information. I have a few friends that love theirs as well. I will definitely have to look into it. Does it have a display? CatRN78 ~ :bravo: on that drop. Whatever you are doing, sure is working for you. 100 ounces a day? Does that come pretty easy or do you have to be mindful about when your drinking your water? Just curious. Turtle11, GordonGirl16 and NNS ~ Congrats on the losses. :woohoo: Sandye ~ LMAO. I had forgotten about the "lawnmower man"...too funny. No, we actually created a web based forum in 2008 and we ran that for years, strictly platonic/business type relationship. Then one fateful trip to Universal and the rest is history. Hes awesome. :val2: In any case, so how is the homeschooling coming along. Are they pretty strict about when and how you do the homeschooling? _______________ Well, the weekend went pretty well for me. I have been tinkering around with the "Intermittent Fasting" that I have been reading about. Though, I'm not sure if that is something sustainable. For me, I'm just trying to find something that just doesn't work now but works later. I ALWAYS gain the weight back. It never fails. So, as I make this FINAL journey, I want to make sure I do something that is going to work indefinitely. But honestly, that will depend more upon my way of thinking and not a "diet." So weight is staying the same. No loss, no gain. No pain.. I have my 8 hours to put in for work today and then 3 miles with my middle son. Football practice starts up again in July and well, he hasn't exactly been moving much but his thumbs on a controller, so we have made a plan of walking/jogging at certain times and scheduled workouts for him as well. In july, TN summer, its going to be HOT, HOT, HOT. Well, I guess that is about it folks. I managed to stay on plan for my weekend, I checked in as per goal and my week is off to a great start. Sure hope you guys finish out your weekends with a smile. SW: 237 GW: 227 06/01: 236 06/02: 235 06/03: 235 06/04: 236 06/05: 232 06/06: 233 06/07: 232 |

I've been popping in from time to time throughout the week to check out all the progress. Congrats to everyone that has a recorded loss!! :cp: This past Monday, I started my journey on the Warrior Diet. I'm not going to lie to you, the first three days were brutal. Fasting during the a.m. hours and lowering my total calorie intake was difficult. And then I woke up Thursday morning, free of my out of control carb cravings! Are you kidding me? I finally found something sustainable! I'm overjoyed! And now it's almost time to weigh-in. (tomorrow morning) Come on scale do your worst. I'm truly motivated and inspired by every single one of you. I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Be back soon. |

Stopping by for a check morning check-in. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I weighed in this morning and had a 1.2lb lose, not as much as I hoped for, but still ok. Delphi: I have a shady area in my front yard, so I planted some Rosy Leaf Caladium, they tend to do well in shade. I love gardening, it's so relaxing, just wish I had more time to do it. Will check in later. Everyone have a great day:) |
Morning all. Lets try to get through Monday shall we?
Jacqui ~ I had no idea. I take ibuprofen at least once a day, usually at the start of the day to help with the inflammation on work days as that is when my hands are at their worst. Well crud. How they heck do we get through that? I was hopeful that as the weight came down and my diet changed, that it would help with the RA/lupus. Thats the story I told my doctor anyway. I wanted a year to try ALL conservative measures to see if it helps at all. I suppose as the months go by, we shall see. dangerouscurves76 ~ That is awesome. I think when we find that thing that works we just run with it and better for it. So glad, you found that thing. Good luck with your weigh-in. ___________ As for me, I'm feeling sluggish this morning. I had a hard time getting to sleep last night and hit snooze this morning which I never do, so I'm getting a late start and it just pushes my whole day back. Argh :stars: But, the scale was teetering on another loss but I suppose I will wait and see what it has in store for me tomorrow. I sure hope you guys have a great Monday.
