iDream ~ Like a warranty. With 3 boys and chaos bound to ensue daily, I always get a warranty if its offered which these days they are. In any case, can't take the heat...eh? :lol: My future husband is like that as well. I would rather be outside in the heat then inside here with the AC. THough these Tennessee summers are so humid they take your breath away at times but the cold just isn't for me. Have you started preparing for your trip yet?

Eagerly awaiting Friday though, as Jurassic World opens and us geeks here are really excited to see it. LovelyLeah ~ concentrated lemon juice?! Have I been living under a rock? How did I not know about that? I like my water straight up, but hubs likes to add lemon to his iced tea and water, he'd love that! Way to go on getting more water in. I'm the same way when I'm out, the last thing I want to have to do is use a public bathroom. Yuck! However, I have just made it a habit to carry my water bottle everywhere. It's 32oz so my goal is four of them a day. I usually finish one by breakfast, one at lunch, another between lunch and dinner and then one at dinner. I try to get it all in before 7:00 so I'm not up going to the bathroom all night. ;) I love the idea of an engagement ring for the fellas! I need to get hubs a new wedding band...his no longer fits. (what I should really do is crack the whip on him and get him exercising and eating better, but he travels 4-5 days a week and I can only nag so much)

Delphi ~ I'm a big 'ol baby for sure! We lived in Louisiana for 18 months and I about died. I hate, hate, hated the heat and humidity. I'm a CA girl and I am used to dry, scalding heat--not swampy moist heat. Blech! It's better when I'm thin though, so that's definitely a motivator. ;) Beyond making a couple of lists...no...I still haven't started prepping. I think I'll probably really get on it this weekend.

Only new news here is that I hit a big milestone, 50 lbs gone. For the love of Peter, Paul, and Mary, I never, ever, ever want to see those dang things ever, ever again!! I have mixed emotions over this milestone and while I know in my head I should be doing a crazy happy dance, I am irked that I am not smaller than I am with this big of a loss. Sigh. I am also cranky about how far I still have to go. Truth be told, a lot of it has to do with the fact that with my sister's wedding coming up, I'm dreading having to go dress shopping, dreading seeing friends and family who have never seen me this big (besides being pg), and really dreading having to stand up in front of everyone and do a reading. *gulp* I know it'll be fine. It's not like they'll be looking at me anyway, my gorgeous sister will (rightly) be in the spotlight I will merely be a blip in the day...but man do I hate public speaking and being heavy on top of it...blech.
Anyway...geez I need to remember to have my coffee after I post I am rambling! LOL All that to say, I'm a bit mixed up today. Happy and grumpy.

I hope everyone is having an amazing morning!! One more day until Friday!! :woohoo:

Jacqui Great job on the loss!!! Woo hoo!! Yes, mine are impacted. I also hate anything to do with dentists because it's rarely a good experience. One time I went in for a filling and while they were drilling they broke my tooth and had to pull it.

Lovemylife Awesome job on resisting. That would be quite difficult for me right now, I'm craving cake.

GordonGirl Mine are badly impacted so it'll probably require surgery, therefore my insurance won't cover them. And thank you, I am very excited to be engaged!!

Delphi I'm looking forward to Jurassic World too. I'm keeping my expectations low. Whenever I hype up a movie I'm disappointed but if I keep my expectations low I'm generally pleasantly surprised.

iDream Congrats on the 50!!!! What a great milestone! YAY!!!!!

Yay, TOM finally happened! <- Never thought I'd say that in my life! But maybe now my hormones can get back to normal and these week-long cramps will end soon.

I just found out that two days ago my 16 year old niece got her drivers licence and then yesterday was accepted to start taking classes at our state university in the Fall. She only just finished her sophmore year. I am so proud of her!!

Good Morning Ladies! Well, I am back where I was before last weekend's debacle...I am going no soda...no alcohol this weekend. Been having a lot of reflux problems, and I am just going to have to stick to my guns for a while. It will help with the weight and with the GERD. I know I am on the path to having an ulcer if I don't.

Gosh, so much has been going on with everyone...besides losing the weight. Wisdom teeth problems, flat tires...50 POUNDS LOST!!!.....so much more. Wish I had time for personals, but I am trying my best to keep up with everyone by reading the posts. Happy Friday, everyone!

Whew! I missed sooooooo much in the last few days! :dizzy: I've been meaning to catch up all week. But I've been super busy trying to get ready for my dinner party. And now I'm in a race to get my goddaughter ready for her high school graduation and party. Yep...it that crazy time of the year.

Congrats to everyone who had a loss this week. And big hugs to anyone who dealt with stress, drama or physical aliments! :grouphug: Hang in there ladies and gents.

Well, I didn't drop any more weight this week, but I am so happy that I am back down to my low from last week! :carrot:

The other chicks and I who are on the Slow Carb Diet have decided we're going to change the name of "Cheat Day" in our diet because it's a misnomer. The Slow Carb Diet consists of eating slow-burning carbs for 6 days a week and on 1 day eating whatever you want as much as you want, and it actually recommends eating quick-burning carbs, all the usual decadent no-no's. It calls this day Cheat Day. The problem is it's not cheating on this diet. We're following the plan. Therefore, we've decided simply to call it "Carb Day" instead. So from now on, I won't be listing Cheat Day on my daily update here. I'll be listing Carb Day. Oh, and today is my Carb Day! :yay:

Okay, my weekend was busy. We are still trying to tie up loose ends before we go on vacation in 2 weeks and my man never gets a day off, so we have been trying to get in as much "us" time and our "to do list" time and its all just been really flying by. I imagine next weekend will be busy as well. Going to get the car taken care of and do all our packing etc and do a trial run to see if we can get everything we want to take in the car. (We decided to drive this year instead of flying and I'm starting to think that was a bad idea.) In any case, so my eating and exercise....well.. ya see...it was not the best but not the worst. I think I really need to sit down and tackle some goals and as much as I hate it, do a little planning (as I did last time) and put a little extra effort in. I tell my boys all the time, you get out of life, what you put in it...and I believe I need to take that advice. So, heres to the start of a brand new week for me and a Happy Sunday to you fine folks.

The Friday before the Indianapolis 500 is Carb Day -- traditionally the day that the carburetors were adjusted to race day configuration. There haven't been carburetors in the race cars since 1963, but the last practice session is still called Carb Day!

I was a little frustrated to not see the scale drop this morning because I'm so close to my goal I just want to get there!! But then I looked at the bigger picture and I've lost 3 lbs in a week. That's really good! That's part of the issue with daily weigh-ins that I lose track of the bigger picture. But I also like to see patterns and you always need more data for that.

Good morning folks! The day is off to a great start. I did get my 45 minutes of cardio in this morning and feel better for it. I'm still up a little on the scale but TOM showed up yesterday so, thats awesome. :stars: I sure hope you guys have an excellent day.

Good Morning Everyone:) Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'm doing the happy dance this morning :carrot: I'm down 5.6lbs. I'm almost at my goal for the month. I did bump up the exercise this week, cut out coffee and drank more of my detox water. I'm so excited. Will check in later. Have a Happy Monday!
