BFR -- LOL -- LOL!!
No I broke it by being stupid and stubborn. I am the shortie in my family; DD is 5'7"; DS 6'2" and DH is nearly 6'3"... I was trying to get down some boxes from a very tall shelf: I was on my tippy toes and inching the box down with the tip of my fingers. It decided to come crashing down, and I was afraid it was going to hit my face, so I swung it to my side and in a process, I snapped something. A lesson learned here, always ask for help from the tall people who put the box there at the first place.
Today I had an MRI done, we will get the results on Monday. I hope I "only" fractured the vertabrae and there is no damage to the soft tissue. I really don't want surgery!
So I have been sitting about and watching mindless TV shows. I hope I am not getting fatter by the minute!! At least, I barely have no appetite.
Sum, I am almost willing to bet you only cracked a rib or pulled a vertebrae attached to a rib) out of place. The pain is almost unbearable from that but it is way better than a broken back and will heal better. But is still a very un-good thing Long time healing and if you don't baby it and take it extra easy on it, it will take a very long time healing, if it heals then. Do take care.
Yesterday though it rained off and on, I was able to make another load of soil which I placed on the road again. Glad I did, and still need more on it. It rained last night and off and on so far today. I did not get that Kimchi made but may later today. Have a lot of housecleaning I have to do... and I HATE that I have found myself sore today from all that digging. So that will explain why the weight did not drop off as much and fast as I was thinking it should... overworked/exercised muscle cells surround themselves with liquid while they recover. And liquid is of course weight. Oh well, it will be ok in a few days and the weight will go with it.
That exercise yesterday was enough to push me out of the 200's and into the 100's (barely) but at least I am in them. I had no idea that shoveling could give me such great workout. No walking so it hardly affects my knees, but great upper body workout and actually works the legs out to twisting while tossing the loads. Plus have to push the shovel into the ground to load it.
I am seriously thinking of just going out and digging 2' wide by 2 ' deep x 20 foot long then filling them back in just for exercise after I have caught up on things I have to do around here.
I took some big plastic tarps and covered much of the back so weeds can't come up so I won't have to do as much hoeing. However, that is purt good exercise also.
Oh Sum, my dear... I hope ithe MRI comes back with more positive news. Sending healing thoughts!!!

Well, I kinda did a lazy thing today, turned one area over a foot and a half deep, removed the plants from the next planter bed and will work that out tomorrow. Guess a day of resting is OK... anyway tomorrow is another day.
removed the soil from 6 55 gallon barrels cut lengthwise and laid end to end to form a planting area, removed the barrels and dug a new planter area 16 feet long by 3 1/2 feet wide by 18 inches deep removing the heavy clay soil so I can put in a sandy mixture and composts.
About 4 hours of constant fast digging which supposed to burn 700 calories per hour plus a few other things labor wise. Tomorrow I will place the golpher proof wire mesh in it and build it up and out 12 inches above ground and start filling it in. Only one more to go after this one.
