WARNING TMI:
Ordered Seafood to stay OP and got food poisoning and was sick from both ends continuously for 18 hours of my two days out of town. So I know that I did not eat enough calories to this kind of weight gain. So not happy about it, but it is not the end of the world.

Sorry hearing about that seafood episode Sally.... and I love seafood also. Two days sick and not eating and a 4 lb gain shown on scales.... just does not add up. It should be a 6 lb loss or so showing. You have a loss coming shortly. Keep us posted.

I'm not complaining at all, but i have no idea what i'm doing right. I've been eating more than usual as i've been on maintenance mode. Why am I losing? What is it that i'm doing right? I want to know soooo bad so i can keep on doing it! Any ideas? I've started taking some new medication that's suposed to lower appetite in some people but it hasn't lowered mine at all. The medication itself doesn't improve weight loss. TMI : It did make me go to the bathroom more often, so it might be that.

Sally Pineapple, i feel for you! I also tend to gain weight after food poisoning because i tend to get bloated for 4 or 5 days. I guess it's how my body defends itself. Is it possible this is happening to you?

boatingmommy, there's a physiological reason why this happens. Alcohol makes you dehydrate, which makes you weigh less. As your body processes the calories of the drinks and rehydrates you see a gain. How much did you have to drink? It goes like this with me: drink today, see weight go down tomorrow, weight go up the day after tomorrow and then down a bit the day after, but still manage to be a bit up from what it wasthe first day i drank (just a little).
