Gearing up to exercise!
I have been trying to get some exercise in since starting the program (IP) so this board will be my new kick in the pants!
My goals: 1. Some form of exercise for at least 45 minutes per time 3x a week. 2. Meet with personal trainer. 3. Try one new/different form of exercise. Here we go!!!! Week one: found a trainer but not much else! |

I didn't do good at all in Sept., (sick, blah blah blah) so I'm lowering my goals for October:
#1) Walk 35 miles Week One~1st thru 7th: 3 Week Two~8th thru 14th: Week Three~15th thru 21st: Week Four~22nd thru 28th: Week Five~29th thru 31st: October Miles Walked Total: #2) Exercise 1240 min. Brand new- and exercise challenged. My goals might be small, but they'll grow.

Nice to see many newbies here. I find this challenge really helps to keep me honest, which is a polite way of saying it helps to get my butt in gear! :) I hope you find the same.

So glad to see you, Suzanne! :hug: And your goal is bigger than mine, lol! I'm shooting for the equivalent of 20 minutes a day (620 minutes total)! :D

My goal is to walk/run 6 out of 7 days a week. And to do 3 circuit workouts a week. This week is kind of hard since it's starting on a tuesday, so I am going to start that officially next week. But this week I am just going to make sure I do something every day.. whether it's just a walk/run.. I may do a circuit workout on Thursday. ;P 10/01 - Walk/Run. ( 30mins, 2miles ) |

Gardenerjoy-- I need to modify my wording. A dear buddy here pointed out that with the weather turning to Fall etc, that it might be better to challange myself to the EQUIVALENT of 30 mins a day of walking for me for October. That way if it's nasty one day, and I miss that day, then if I walk 60 mins the next day, I'll still average out good. (averaged 30 min a day x 31 days is 930 mins walking for me for Oct for my goal). Can you modify that for me?

Day 1, Oct 1st... did my 30 min walk this evening at dusk. Lovely evening here in NW Illinois. Miles covered: about 1.5 miles.
