Went searching for new pants today since mine are all to big. The largest size pants that I had worn back in March were a size 24, today I tried on a size 18 and they FIT!!!! Thats 3 sizes down!! I am super excited. I didn't buy any because I didn't like the skinny leg thing but they fit;) I will have to search for some cheap ones since I dont plan on being an 18 for that long :)

A bit of advice for boatingmommy and SouthernBell02: don't be too stingy about buying new clothes. My previous weight loss stopped and reversed when I was feeling too cheap to buy clothes that fit. I think, unconsciously, I was telling myself that I wasn't worth it and that was enough of a message to put the weight back on so my clothes would fit! This time, I bought clothes on the way down. Goodwill got some nice stuff, but I didn't derail my weight loss. Speaking of which, try secondhand stores -- you might find something that another dieter wore only a few times and that you can wear a few times and give back.

I feel the same way about clothes right now. I do need a new pair of jeans but I don't wanna spend too much (or any) money since I'm hoping to lose more. So what I do is check out the sales rack and if I find something - great! If not, then maybe next time.

Hello my forum friends! Busy weekend! Well, I got down to goal yesterday, 183 lbs, and that was really exciting, but of course it was cheat day, so I am back up to 184.5 lbs. And that's okay, I'll take it! I thought for sure I'd wake up weighing 186 lbs! :hungry:

Don't worry ladies I WILL be buying at least 2 pairs of size 18 pants. I just have to find a pair that I like. I don't like the "skinny" jeans I feel like my calves are suffocating in them I am more of a boot cut or flare type girl;) Maybe Ill have time Wednesday or maybe next weekend but it will happen:) Thanks guys!

I have a love/hate relationship with Jean Shopping. Skinny jeans are so tough, my thighs and calves always seem gigantic no matter what size I am. I do a lot better with a slim bootcut or straight leg. Although with all the squats I've been doing my legs and butt are looking pretty good. I haven't bought any new pants since I started losing. I've been this weight before so I have some clothes. When I made the choice to change my lifestyle, I binned up all my clothes that were too small so I wouldn't get discouraged looking at them. About 15 lbs down I got them back out, and its like shopping in my bins. Now half the bins are full of clothes that are too big!!! I love it :cb: The only problem is with the workouts my clothes aren't fitting the same, so I look a little silly sometimes, plus the styles have changed since 2008-9. Also congrats to everybody else who's been doing so well! :cheer2: So, talk about buying clothes...DH and I stopped by H&M today and I found a pair of red skinny jeans with small studs on the sides for only 10€. I really, really, REALLY liked them, so I got a pair in size 29. They are very tight but I can button them, lol! I think I need to lose maybe another 5-6 pounds in order for them to fit comfortably. I weighed 144.0 lbs again this morning and I am very optimistic about staying on plan. I obviously won't make it to goal but that's okay. What counts is that I am doing well. I gained a pound this morning, for no earthly reason! Then, this evening, I had to attend a black tie business dinner. I behaved myself and did fine calorie-wise, but I suspect the high sodium content will result in the scales being less than kind to me again tomorrow morning. We shall see.

Woohoo! Lost a lb overnight and now I'm at 182.5, a half lb below my October goal weight! :carrot: I'm just really excited to be headed toward my next mini-goal! I've included my ticker from 4 years ago in my signature because it helps me to stay focused, reminds me not to give up like I did before, and gives me motivation to do much better than I did then. In 2009, 179 lbs was the lowest I had been in 9 years, and now I am heading toward 178 lbs (and below), which will be the lowest I've been in 13 years! So this little half lb below my goal weight this month means I'm a half lb closer to reaching that 2nd mini-goal, and that simply thrills me! :dance:
