I’m back and I had a fabulous time! As I earlier mentioned, the purposes of my vacation were to plan my daughter’s wedding, which will take place next year in Italy, to attend her graduation from Oxford University which took place last Friday, and to have fun! I was in Italy for 5 days and in the UK the rest of the time. I remained on plan except for a few days when we celebrated, including the day we did the food tasting with the Italian caterer (yummy!) and my daughter’s graduation day when we had both a celebratory lunch and supper. Plus there was the day when we found and ordered my daughter's wedding dress, following which the store gave us each a glass of champagne and we then went out for a celebratory lunch. The dress is beautiful! To combat the extra calories, I did a LOT of walking when I was in Europe. All in all, I’m pretty happy with my diet results. I’m down 2 lbs since I left two weeks ago, and I’m in good shape to make goal this month (fingers crossed!).

My shift flew by because we were so busy. My only problem was that we are supposed to close at 9:30pm but we still had paying customers at that time. Finally at 9:50, I spoke to the closing manager and told her that I had a train to catch or I would miss my connecting bus which would mean I would have to wait close to midnight for the next one. There were still people in the shop when I left. |
Tuscany!!!! I'm so glad you are back :hug: and it sounds like you had a fabulous time! Congrats on your daughter's graduation! :congrat: You must be just beaming with pride! And great job in losing 2 lbs while on a European vacation! Who else could have done that? Lol! It's great to have you back! :dance:
Rhiko, my fingers are crossed for you to have a post-TOM drop! :crossed: I am up 2 water-weight lbs after my cheat day, as I expected, so I'm back to 191 temporarily, and that's okay! That should drop off in the next couple of days, and I'll be back to my goal weight! I'll be stealing Cheeri's idea today of drinking green tea, which I always drink in the fall and winter months anyway, so hopefully that will help it along! :D |

After going out for Mexican last night and making breakfast for some extended family (waffles, sausage....) I'm not surprised that I gained. I did good with the breakfast, but I have no idea how many calories/points are in taco salads... And when I don't know my portion size I go over. My weight last week was 251. This morning 250.8 Does not sound like much, but had one WIERD week. On Monday, following my Sunday weigh in last week, for some reason I was super hyper. Just could not slow down until late afternoon. And was continously THIRSTY, drinking water and drinking water. All day. Drink 12 oz bottle of water and twenty minutes was dry as a bone, sucking down another one, all day long. And only urinated a few times. It was very hot, but I was not sweating all that much. And afterwards I was hungry. And ate. And still hungry and ate more. Ate the most calories since starting this, some 1800 Monday. The next morning I weighed again because I was certain I must have retained that water. I did. 258.8 lbs, some 7 lbs of water retention. And it has been all week coming back off, slowly. And I have ate about 400 calories a day or more than I had been taking in. My maintenance calories are supposed to be about 2900 a day, but I really think it is less than that. Anyway, for the first few months I held down to around 1000 calories, now eating around 1600. I am losing size, shirts and pants getting very loose, and I fit into any booth at a restaurant, have extra room behind the steering wheel (like over 3 inches now) so I know I am downsizing. I think over the next couple of weeks it will turn loose and start down again. Meanwhile, this week only not even a lb according to the scales, .2 All of yall are looking good, keep it up :D B F R |
