Munchey, you have the best clip art! I'm sorry you didn't quite hit your goal, but I love your attitude! You are doing a great job! Stock market monitoring, huh? Is that your job or just a passion?

CROW:
Good job on the 1 pound loss! Keep up the good work!

DANGEROUSCURVESAHEAD:
Welcome! You can do this! I can relate to "being afraid of the scale" and not weighing for an extended length of time. I've learned that it only makes things worse in the long run. Knowledge is power.

I was laid off my job as of January 1, so I'm not working right now. I pulled out my 401K into a rollover IRA and have been in the process of reinvesting that money and a personal account. In some ways, it's my job right now, LOL.

I've collected the graphics over several years. I'm a bit kid at heart - got to have some fun along the way.

I hope everyone is ready to take on a new week. Remember, this is your journey - tailored for you. You only fail when you quit trying. The path to Fat Camp this week is a more tranquil one. The suggested assignments below are voluntary, but I hope you will try them.

1. POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS: Make daily positive affirmations. Suggestion is for three. You can say them to yourself, write them on a pad of paper or note them electronically. Hopefully you will come to this thread and post your affirmations at least 2 times during the week.

Examples:

I forgive myself for any and all past mistakes
I deserve to succeed
I choose to be happy
I have the power to realize my goals
I am becoming better everyday
I only have positive mental pictures
I know how to promote my emotional and physical well-being.
I take care of my body's needs
I see myself at my healthy weight and I achieve it
I have non-stop daily determination to reach my healthy weight
I like long walks
It is easy for me to stay on my plan to obtain my healthy weight
I picture myself at my perfect weight
I have a positive attitude about what I eat, how I eat, and when I eat
My body burns fat like a furnace
Developing healthy eating habits becomes easier each day
I stay on a healthy eating plan and maintain my healthy weight easily
Each day, I automatically and successfully get healthier and healthier

This might be difficult for some, but give it a try to come up with some personalized affirmations. If any of the above examples suit you, please use them.

2. REWARDS: Decide on some rewards for yourself. i.e. a reward for a certain number of pounds lost, for staying on your food plan for a certain duration or perhaps for your exercise performance. Don't wait to reach the ultimate goal, you need to reward your achievements along the way.

3. REDUCE YOUR STRESS: Try some ways to reduce your stress. Maybe it is a nice warm bath with candles, or perhaps some meditation. Breathing exercises can be an easy tool for those who are pressed for time. Give something a try and share it with the team! I'll post a breathing exercise that should be easy for everyone to try.

LET'S ROCK THIS WEEK!

Laura, Sinderelly, Joy and Jossyju12! Good luck on all of your goals!

Congrats on making this week's goal, Crow!

Munchey- Love your attitude as well!! I also really like the affirmations/stress reduction ideas. I will have to try some of them.

Sinderelly- you still have a pound loss, yay!!! for you to hit 226!

I did not quite make goal this week (168.4), .4 shy of my 1lb goal. I kinda want to blame TOM since I was on plan all week but I am glad not to have seen 169 again! Like Munchey mentioned earlier in her post, I, too, would prefer to claim a whole pound before I count it as a loss.

Goals for 3/17 to 3/23- Lose 1.5 lbs and start walking 30 minutes at least 3 times a week.

Thanx for the warm welcome ladies, so glad to be in an active thread which i hope will help me more as i like to be able to journal my days events and such.
Munchy~ the daily affirmations are a wonderful idea!
I will also add a small rewards at the end of each week that i reach goal. Ive pulled my cc journal back out and updated my calculations for my current lifestyle so ill edit my weekly goal as well. Sundays are my " get ready for the week" day. Get housework and laundry and outside ( weather permitting) errands and things caught up.
Its a rainy dreary day here in va. so been inside all day but have gotten my dusting sweeping vaccuming and mopping all done. Laundry is well on its way. Dishes ( hate doing dishes) are soaking as i browse 3fc.
Luv the cartoons!

MY POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS:

I feel like I've lost a few pounds - more loss to come!
My physical endurance has improved and will only get better
I control the outcome - I can get this weight off!
Each day is a new opportunity and I will take it!

MY REWARDS:
10 Pounds: A new rose bush to plant in my yard
One-Der-Land: A bicycle
Goal Weight: I have some time to think about that (Perhaps a make-over spa day?)

Positive affirmations-

*I choose to make healthy choices for myself because I know I feel great afterwards.
*I feel so good with my current weight loss progress and I want to feel even better when I have lost the rest which I know I CAN do.
*I deserve to be at my ideal weight.
*I feel great after working out consistently.

Rewards-

162lbs- 1 bottle of soak-off gel polish
153lbs- Summer dress
144lbs- Purse
135lbs- Hmm, TBD (though it will likely be a whole new wardrobe since I have no clothes that will fit me at this weight! )

I weighed in today and I am at 288.8. I know I can't except to lose this amount every week so I would like to lose 2 lbs by next Sunday.
