As I sit here in a food coma...I'm in!

17 weeks is enough to make a lifestyle change and I am ready.

Hello everyone.

Welcome, Mothermavis. You have the best slogan ever - I've recited it to myself many times!

Trying to get myself to the gym. Cooked all day yesterday, I'm TIRED.

Hello Ladies. I think I made a more realistic goal this time. I would love to get into onderland. So I would like to loose 25lbs by the first day of Spring. I think I can do that. 1.5lbs a week average. We will see and stay on plan.

Thanks giving is always a very challenging time of the year for me food wise! The food is great, there is so much of it and everyone seems to be in the mood for lots of eating!

Default Post thanksgiving

Hi all!

well thanksgiving was not too bad--stuck to my goal of only one plate and I only put a small serving of each thing on the plate--didnt put a huge mound of mash potatoes--my favorite. I did have two rolls and an extra serving of apple pie but it was one of those small slices. so altogether not bad--my stomach was way shrunk which was part of it--just couldnt eat any more.

now getting on track is hard--but like our wisewoman says--pick your hard!

letsee--goals. I would like to lose 10 lbs by jan 1--226 about 5.5 weeks which is very doable--2 lbs per week. then I think I would like to aim for onederland by 3/20--12 weeks, 2.5 months--27 lbs to reach 199. a little ambitious but I wont give myself a hard time for not attaining it. letsee how it goes.

I like the idea of changing habits like these:

1. being madly consistent with exercise--daily walks with dog plus 2-3 gym workouts a week.

2. having one meal off plan without it extending into days of off plan eating.

thats all that I can think of now.

food coma is right!! I still am a little hungover but feeling better. I am going to cook a turkey breast today but not all the other stuff.

to Mavis, Geraldine, dumplin!

glad to see you mama, tyla, julia, and lishar! Tyla you are a model of willpower!

cheers

sno

Can I join in?

Fairly new here, but I'm finding a new competitive spirit with the help of this site.

By Spring, Wonderland for sure.

Keep up with the program. Add more exercises. Stick with this site and the challenges. Keep setting daily, weekly, and long-term goals. Next Spring, I want to be running comfortably and playing tennis with my boys. BE HAPPY!!

Dang, Snow! Is that you at your current weight in the photo? You are smokin'! I look like Dumplin's snowman

i got back in the game today. lets go ladies!

Welcome, SMF - I recognize you from Sarge's page! Don't worry, we're WAY more forgiving here if you mess up!!

Glad everyone stayed calm over T'giving. I'm not ready to set a goal yet for spring since I'm up a few lbs from before the holiday & I don't know if all the damage has been done yet!

Company is gone, time for things to get back to normal. No more pie for breakfast.

Welcome Mavis, Geraldine, dumplin and Seemyfeet. I agree with mountain Momma we are very forgiving here. I love this group. I too am glad Sno created this new challenge. We all have goals or we would not be trying to lose weight.

Anyone else brave the sales? With DH working I did my shopping from home. I got 2 lego sets (1300 pieces) for $30, and 2 snow suits for $30 each. My girls need new jackets so that was a good deal. I figure now I bought these it won't snow this year. :-) I did get myself some sexy boots. They look so good the only problem is they are high heels. I never wear high heels and they kill my feet. So moderation and no long walks in these.

MY oldest's birthday is in a week so we are trying to figure out what to get her. We are thinking about rock climbing lessons. My youngest birthday is 2 weeks after Christmas. So the tree goes up after Dec 3 and has to be down before Jan 9.

No weight change since Thanksgiving. The way my weight has been yoyoing I am just glad it has not gone up again.

Sno you and I have the same goal Onderland. Yea.

I would like to join in this challenge please! I weighed myself last Sunday and was 209, then weighed myself today, and was 213.4! Man, I had a piggy week! I'm going to Alaska on March 5th, and we are going dog sledding. I don't want those poor dogs to pull my fat self around, I'd feel really sorry for them! I'd like to lose 25 lbs or more by March 20th, the first day of Spring! I would weigh 188.4 or less, that would be fantastic!
