Gatorgirl - Good for you! Hope you enjoyed your bike ride.
Hmmm... is it just me or are a lot of people pretty quiet around here?
But anyway -- I did my Walk Away the Pounds 1 Mile tonight. I had to stop 1/2 way through to feed Isla but that's my fault because I knew it was almost time for her to eat and it was wishful thinking that she wouldn't wake up until my workout was done. Once she was back to sleep I finished the mile so it all worked out.
Tomorrow is another day and hopefully it's a great one!
Day 2/Week 2

Walrus0 just posting and trying is great. I am the same way. So I made my goal any time I move more than normal it counts. Such as loading/unloadiing furniture made me move and sweat so it counts, etc. If I do that 17 times this month I hit my goal and I am happy with that and will strive for more the next month.
Happy Friday everyone. This has been a very tough week for me in terms of exercise. Beginning in August I started a new position in my department which of course means leaving my current one. My new position oversees my old one so I had to do all the vetting and recruiting for an immediate replacement. I work in higher education and it moves at a snail's pace at times. For the last month and a half I've had that on my plate as well as continuing on in my old position until a suitable new employee could be found and hired. My replacement started this past Tuesday so I continue doing both old/new jobs AND training her. I'm exhausted and seriously sleep deprived. I keep my exercise tally in my original post but my exercise for this week has consisted of little more than walking to and from work because that is all I have time and energy for. While I'm having a mini-vent here I try to keep it in perspective and every day just be grateful to be employed in a job I mostly love and enjoy. Here's to a great weekend and next week for all!

curvynotlumpy - Good for you! Even though you have your plate full at the moment you're still trying to stay active and take care of yourself. Hopefully things will settle down soon for you, you'll get comfortable in your new position and you'll be able to have some more "me" time. Hope you had a great weekend and got some sleep!
Tabbycat - Glad to hear that you're feeling better. And great job getting back to moving!
Gatorgirl - Wish I was as active as you are! My new goal: move half as much as Gatorgirl
As for me, I just got done doing my Walk Away the Pounds 1 Mile. I'm hoping that I'll feel up to the 2 Mile by next week. I don't know about any of you other mothers out there but I seem to be having a heck of a time recovering from childbirth. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks and I get so tired when I'm out walking around still. We went out to lunch and some stores on Saturday and by late afternoon I could barely move anymore. My feet were killing me! And to think I have been looking into finding a part time job. A few hours on my feet and I'll be in tears! But I'm hoping by doing the Walk Away DVDs slowly I'll work my way up to being somewhat normal by Halloween. I'm only on Day 3/Week 2. Again I'm not going to meet my goal of 5 days but I'm really just happy that I'm getting some working out in each week.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend and that you have a fantastic Monday!

Hi everyone, I'm new to this thread.

that makes 84.25 so far (goal 100 miles) 15.75 to go!
today I did 2.5 hrs of cardio.
30 hours done in Sept, 30 to go. (goal 60 hrs)
calories burned this week 8074
Sept total so far 23,123. (goal 50,000) 26,877 to go!
StNessa - I am active right now cause I was lazy for too many days and now I have to work twice as hard to meet my monthly goals. eek! Plus I just got a new bike and I am in love. <3 I haven't really ridden a bike since I was in middle school (10+ years ago) but I started riding the one at the gym and liked it a lot. I severely broke my ankle 3 yrs ago and biking is one of the best low impact/fun/relaxing exercises I have found. My sister and Dad are now thinking about getting bikes to ride with me.
