Konfyoozed, if you've stayed on plan with your food & exercise don't be sad at only a .2 loss. I know, easier said than done. Look at all the complaining I've done. lol

4 days ago my weight was back up to my February 1st weight, then the last 3 days I've seen a whoosh of 3.4 pounds & hopefully I'm not done. It's probably your sore muscles holding onto water & you'll see a whoosh too. :)
Of course my TOM of the month is coming up pretty quick so I'll probably be back up to my Feb. 1st weight again. lol

As long as I'm seeing a downward trend in my weigh ins I'm not going to worry about the day to day fluctuations. But I have started to weigh every day so that I can see if my weight loss has some type of pattern to it.

Angie, see above too hon. You've lost 15 pounds in a pretty quick time frame. I think you rock & don't get discouraged!

Paradise, looking at old pictures can help to give you motivation, either of what you want to look like again, or where you never want to go back to. I've got one of those uggh pictures on my fridge to try to keep me from snacking. It works!

Hope everyone has a great day.

Kim

Well this has been a surprise weigh in .. I have been so off plan this week with work and birthdays that I seriously thought I was going back up again .. behaved the last 2 days as well as I could which helped :)

Down 0.3 pounds this week .. and Im happy with that knowing that I had been a little naughty this week .. I did learn to treat myself this week but when to stop ... which was something that I didnt used to do.

Great job everyone else .. regardless of up or down results .. the fact you are still on your journey is something to celebrate.

(oh updated my spreadsheet too :))

Hi Everyone! My week is going fairly well though I've had to eat out a few times do to situations beyond my control. I feel a small (if any) loss coming on.

MangoLover 03-01-2012 10:40 PM

I keep gaining. I went to weight watchers with my cousin on Monday. I will give it a try and see how it goes. I need help bad! I feel like I'm fighting to not give up. Any advice?

ParadiseFalls 03-02-2012 03:22 AM

Mangolover, sorry to hear about your gain :( What sort of plan are you following? If you're counting calories, do you measure everything? Are you getting enough water? For me those are always the biggest things -- if I'm not careful I underestimate calories, and I never lose consistently when I'm not getting enough water.

Laura78 03-02-2012 06:43 AM

Wow - weighed in this morning and I'm down 2 lbs this week. I can't believe it! It's like my metabolism has picked up for me or something. I'm sticking to my 1600 cals and still have not added exercise.....I even had ice cream this week!

What are everyone's plans for the weekend? The big event for me is bringing my DD to her first Synchronized Swimmig meet - she's only 6 years old, and there are no parents allowed in he changerooms, etc, so I just have to drop her off and hope for the best!

Good morning, I weighed in this morning to find a 1.4 loss, guess my 2 pound running streak has ended but I am happy with that. Congrats [B]Laura[/B. I measured myself around the 10th of Feb so I will do that again next week sometime, I am sure I will see changes there as well.

Hi Paradise. I was calorie counting for a while and I was weighing everything. I'm a vegetarian and I try to eat mostly unprocessed foods, so I found it annoying at first, but then I was getting a general idea of what things weighed just by looking at them. But I still weighed them. I was using organic frozen meals for dinner and sometimes lunch. I had about 2 weeks where I was feeling really sick so I just ate whatever was convenient, so that's where most of the weight gain came from. Plus I had a horrible attitude, where I'd say, well since I'm off my eating plan I'll just eat junk food and get back on track on such and such a day.

Like I mentioned in my last post. I went to weight watchers with my cousin and I am going to give that a try. What appealed to me was that the fruits and veggies that I already eat are free points. They're basically filler foods and I can eat them until I'm satisfied. The annoying thing for me when I was calorie counting was that I'd have to weigh each individual item and sometimes I wouldn't finish the whole salad - so how do you calculate what you didn't eat when it's all mixed up?

One of the ladies told me that I should mark the boxes and cans in my pantry with their points values to make life easier. I am also going to pack my crackers and other snacks into baggies based on serving/point size. I like the idea of the convenience of this plan and that I have unlimited veggies and fruit to help fill me up so I can stay satisfied. I was trying to deprive myself of things I enjoyed, like chips and cookies, but with this plan I can at least have them occasionally.

I am very aware of my trigger foods, like the before mentioned chips and cookies and delicious crusty bread and pasta. But at least now I can have a small serving and hopefully not think it's the end of the world.

Another thing that helped was that the ladies that work there introduced themselves and one of them lost 125 lbs!!! That's what I need to lose, so to see someone who actually did it was very inspiring. I mean, reading the stories on here is inspiring, but to physically meet someone who did it - I feel like I CAN do it. Another plus is that while I am weighing on here every Monday, if I wanted to I could skip the weigh in, or just lie (not that I would), to cover up the fact that I'm not on track. At the meetings you have to get on the scale and face the fact that maybe you have gotten off track. It was also nice to hear real people talk about what works and what didn't. It's like reading the stories on here, but super charged :)

Holy Smoly!! My weigh in isn´t until Monday but I weigh myself everyday to check progress like I´m sure a lot of you do. Well this week I´ve been in a total funk and at 165.0 ALL WEEK. I exercised a ton and ate really clean staying in my calories, and NOTHING. Well last night I had a horrible 1800 calorie binge. Robot Sarah took over while I cried not wanting to eat, but this evil machine was forcing me to throw food into my mouth as quickly as possible. Arguably not one of my finest moments. Anyway, I stepped on the scale this morning and it said 164.1. Horray, I got over my plateu. I started jumping up and down on the scale. haha...Today Im doing a ¨mock¨10k in practicing for my marathon to see what time Im at now. My goal is to do the final in 1 hour.

Here´s hoping for another pound by Monday´s weigh-in.

Keep movin´ladies! x

I would like a little "whosh" to come my way but I will take the 1.6 lbs this week. Have a good week all - We can do this!

40lbsPLEASE 03-03-2012 01:56 PM

So I got my whoosh ladies, FINALLY! I was really starting to feel down and out. I'm a little in disbelief so I'm waiting till Monday (my official weigh-in day) to plug my numbers into the spreadsheet. FX the scale reads the same, or better, come Monday morning!! Have a fantastic OP wknd, everyone! :D

ParadiseFalls 03-03-2012 11:14 PM

Congrats on your losses, stlrsgrl, Laura, lovemydoggies, 40lbs and vicki!

Mango, sounds like you'll do great with Weight Watchers! Marking everything on the shelf seems like it would be helpful. I'm sure you'll figure it all out soon :)

Good morning everyone. Sorry I've been MIA but I have been having an awful time and didn't want to post unless I had something positive to add.

Mangolover - I could have written your exact post. I also joined Weight Watcers online last Wed and am giving it a try before I join the traditional meeting. I hope you have a great week! WE CAN DO THIS.

I am looking forward to a great week too. I feel so much better physically and mentally when I am 100% OP and I want those feelings this week.

Hopefully, everyone is enjoying their Sunday :)

[QUOTE=GettinFit;4240141]Good morning everyone. Sorry I've been MIA but I have been having an awful time and didn't want to post unless I had something positive to add.

Please don´t ever feel like that. We are your support, as I hope you are mine. We are here for the positives and the negatives.

GettinFit 03-04-2012 05:04 PM

Thank you so much Lovemydoggies. I am doing much better now. I've been 100% OP today and it looks like I'll even have points left over.
