Anyone up for a challenge from now through July 4th?

Oooh, I'm definitely in! I have a wedding on July 7th and would love to lose 30+ pounds by then! I'm going to pretend like it's a July 1st challenge though since that's Canada Day ;)

Me!! Im new on here and a competition is what I need. On my intro post I let everyone know Im a Army wife whos husband comes home about July 15th. I am looking to lose 40lbs by then!

Awesome! I'm thinking tracking by percentage of body weight lost might be best since, since our weights vary so much. Does that work for everyone?
I was thinking I'll keep track of percentages weekly in a spreadsheet like they used in this challenge. When should we start? I'm up for jumping in tomorrow if everyone else is (I think that would end us on Canada Day, Laura78 ;)! Or if you'd rather keep it to exactly 22 weeks, that would be Wednesday. |
Tomorrow would be great for me. Right now I weigh only on Mondays, but am thinking about tracking daily! Thanks for putting together the challenge!

I'd love to join this challenge too please! I'm also in a BL challenge at the moment, but that runs out at the beginning of April, and this will keep me going beyond then, and hopefully to goal!

Tomorrow is fine for me. I weigh-in on Fridays, but I will log my Friday weights on Monday since I only like to weigh-in once per week.

Ok, everyone, here's our spreadsheet! It's viewable and edit-able by anyone with the link.
We can all weigh in here, and to make things easy I'll add the numbers for the week into the sheet and do a post that compiles the totals (unless you'd rather add your own numbers, in which case go ahead!). The total values in the bottom row are a little goofy, but I'll fix the formulas as we go. See you all here tomorrow :D |
I just joined this group tonight and would love a challenge. I am getting remarried in July and would love to weigh 130 pounds again which would be a 34 pound loss.

I'm in! My other challenge is done in April too so it would be great to have this one to keep me going. I weigh in on Monday nights so I'll add mine right after!
My goal- 44 pound loss. 2 lbs a week! I would honestly like to do more but I figure a 2 lb a week loss will be a good steady loss. Here's to getting healthy inside and out! :woops: |

Paradise - I've found that these challenges do help me if I stay committed and follow it to the end. I am really looking forward to this one as it ends just before my trip to NY and I'd love to do some shopping for a smaller size:D

Weighed in yesterday at 204, which is down 3.8 from last week. I'm using this as my starting weight, can't wait to see how this turns out for all of us! :)

I want to be at goal by then. I hope to be there by then, but July 4th is the DROP DEAD LAST time I want to be at that weight. So, 15 pounds for me. Though, I suppose it is theoretically possible to lose even more, but I'll wrap my head around that when/if I get there. LOL

This would be great for me! We have a trip to the states in August and I'm really hoping to be at my goal weight (whatever that may be!) by then. That means somewhere between a 9-24lb loss still. Since July is still a month away from that I'll put my goal as 10lbs and then be thrilled if I lose more than that. ;)
ETA: I weight daily and just report loses when they come because they normally come in whooshes with weeks of stalls in between. |
Paradise I absolutely feel challenges help me to stay on track. When I know I have a group to come and post my weight in, it spurs me on try my best to get a good number, but also, when the scale stops moving or starts moving the wrong way, the support a group can give is amazing. It's also great to get to know a bunch of people and share in their successes and hear what works and doesn't work for them.

so we are 18 ladies and we weigh almost 2 tons....wow. Congratulations to all of us in taking this step in continuing in our weight loss journey and goal of happier and healthier lives.
I think the way for me to stay motivated through something like this is that Im very competative, and donīt like to lose, so I will do everything in my power week by week so make sure I donīt have the lowest % lost. :D:D |
