WOohOo for a loss Tyla! I know how hard you have to work for it!
Ugh so yesterday was ok until hubby wanted domino's for supper. Went over calories by 500! No exercise either. Blech. But I did track everything.
Day 44!
Yay tyla!!!! Way to go! NoMore I know right?? It felt like nothing but somehow the cals added up. Don't fret too much over your Dominos dinner-you tracked everything, which is awesome- I sometimes have a tendency to ignore my tracker when I know I have gone over.
Day 44
Exercise: 45 minutes moderate yoga
IF: Started eating at 1:30
Food:
2 c spinach + 1 diced apple + blackberry juice (as dressing! yum!)
20 almonds
.75 c chickpeas
2 c pumpkin soup
1.5 c pineapple
2 pumpkin cookies (1 + lots of licks and tastes of batter as I was making them).
1 square very dark chocolate
Did a lot better today than I have over the last few days. I still ate too many sweets but I'm working on it
Happy halloween everyone. Looks like everyone is doing well. I did my usuall monday morning weigh in and was down 2 more pounds. I joined the november exercise challenge. I am aiming for 900 minutes of exercise and 90 miles walked for this month. I hope I can do it. At least I have something to keep me motivated. I am only aiming for a 6 pound loss this month and maintaining over the holidays so keeping the exercise going is going to be really impoirtant for the next 2 months.
Does anyone have any tips for getting through the holiday meals?
Does anyone have any tips for getting through the holiday meals?
I bring roasted veggies as my contribution and stick with those and the meat and skip everything else. It's a little easier for me in a way, because I am doing a very low carb plan and no grains or starches are allowed. So I'm not trying for moderation and telling myself I can have a small amount, I'm just staying on plan and not having it at all, and at least for me, that is easier.
I also remind myself that next year, when I am at goal, I will be able to enjoy the extras.
Hey Ladies! Made it through Halloween, Phew!! I'm gonna work really hard for the next three weeks, I want to be to 180-185 for Turkey Day! Oh, and NSV, which is really kinda sad, but I'm back into my maternity pants . I lost 40lbs from 200-160 in 2009, got PG in 2010, gained 60 (freeforalleating). So most of my maternity pants were bought at like 170-180lbs. I couldn't get them over my hips at the end of PG! 9 months after giving birth they fit LOL
Way to go on the 2lbs loss Miatu!
Also, just in case you didn't notice, I changed my user name from CarlyC-

Nomore, Thanks for telling me you are CarlyC. I wouldn't have guessed it. Why did you change your name? Congrats on day 46 and doing well over Halloween.
April, congrats on being in Onederland!!
Miatutu, to answer your question on how I get thru Thanksgiving, I eat my turkey portion and less of everything else. If I decide to have pumpkin pie, I don't eat the crust. I also go slow and play with my food, so no one notices the difference. If we go out to a restaurant, I bring home the leftovers. I always feel satisfied when it's over. (It's the rest of the year I have to contend with.)LOL
thanks indiblue and tyla!! It was definitely a nice boost to get such concrete proof that all these days on plan are worth it! Not sure I feel tinier, though! lol!
Tyla and April, thanks for the tips for thanksgiving. I am actually cooking this year because I have family coming in. I will have to chew gum or something the whole time I am cooking to keep from eating everything. I am planning my meal now, and I am including alot of veggie dishes, and trying to make everything as healthy as possible. But there are things that everyone will expect that I will still have to make. It will have to be major portion controll or just say no!!
I have been going over my calories the last few days. Not so bad tonight but yesterday I kept munchin. TOM is here, and I think he's getting to me. I have been super emotional and crying alot to. My husband said I have been very moody since I have been watching my weight. He just doesn't get it. Its more than that. I have been an emotional wreck. I don't know. I try talking to him about how I am feeling, but he thinks I am being dramatic. I am a stay at home mom for the first time in my life, and I feel like I lost who I am. I don't want to go on, but hopefully someone can understand where I am coming from.
Anyhoo, everyone keep up the fantastic work. I have to remember tomorrow is another day, and when one day is bad, all I can do is make the next one better. Have a great night ladies.
Miatutu, what's going on is that your life has changed dramatically. I've totally been there. When you stay home, after working for a while, it's like you're not appreciated as much. At a job, you can feel like you're important sometimes, you dress up, take breaks, are with other people, go out to lunch sometimes, whatever. Staying home does get easier. But you have to get out once in the morning and once in the afternoon, even if it's to a grocery store or to the bank. This way you change scenery and are out with other people. And you tend to want to look a little better when you go out. (When you stay home, you tend to look crappier.) Buy yourself a cup of coffee or tea. Buy some flowers. Do you have little ones? Can they be bundled up and go with you to the mall? They need to get out, too. Try to meet other stay at home moms. There's a website called meetup.com where you can meet other people in your town with similar interests and hobbies. Maybe you can plan a lunch with your new friends or have lunch with some old ones. Anyway, I've read that getting out of the house helps a lot. It sure helps me.
