Hey ladies!! Weeee we are doing soo good!
Sandy you are shrinking!!! :D good job!!! So inspiring!!! I have been staying OP pretty well these past days. Yesterday I went to the Dbacks vs. Giants game ( GO GIANTS!!!!) I did sooo good! We went to fridays, I got Key west shrimp, with broccoli! instead of any fried shrimp, or fries! I was so happy with myself. I didnt buy any crappy food there either. My mom was getting Nachos, and beer, and cracker jacks. I was so fine just watching my men play. she was shocked when I didnt get anything! I have been saying no to bad foods for the past week with ease. My boss asked me if I wanted a snickers, NOPE. Didn't even think, just declined. I made my "Man-Friend" some Gingerbread men,I had one to make sure they were tasty, and thats it. And Then yesterday I made him Oatmeal Raisin Cookies, only had a small one to make sure it was eatable (AND I made it with splenda, he had no idea teehee), and thats it! I have been so good! I'm so proud of myself! Today at work, 3 people asked if I had lost weight. One stopped me and asked, are you shrinking? I asked if she ment height wise, and said. No, you are narrower! I was so happy that people were noticing! YAY NSV! And my scale has been nice to me today! 169! Broke out of that 170, bout time! I went to the gym after work today, even though I didn't want to. And I came home and made din din. Instead of hitting up a pizza place. Mmmm Pizza! It has been nothing but good news! :D:D:D:D Anyway, sorry for the rambling. I gotta hit the shower and go to bed. I work open to close tomorrow :( Night! |
Hopeless, good for you for getting your exercise done! I did mine too late yesterday and after my main meal. I would not recommend that.
Lindsy,I'm so proud of you. Congratulations for turning down all those goodies and getting back on track!! |
Congrats, Sandy! You look awesome!
And Lindsy, great job resisting temptation! I can't believe how well everyone seems to be doing! Go us! |
Sandy-- :( Ugh, I really wish that we didn't have to deal with Aunt Flo... I have PCOS, so I'm used to her showing up whenever she pleases and camping out for a while. Here's to hoping that we both see great losses next Monday!
Lindsy-- Good job! Congratulations on resisting all of those temptations; that's fabulous! I'm glad that people are noticing your weight loss-- it's such a great feeling to have somebody realize that you're shrinking! As for me, I'm doing quite well! Lately, I've been really enjoying finding ways to "health-ify" my favorite recipes. For dinner tonight, I'm making a lower-cal version of steak, orange-glazed carrots, and my signature steak sauce green beans. |
Great job ladies! I got up and did my exercises. Woot. Woot. Calories are in check too.
|
Congrats, Slammer, on doing so well and coming up with healthy versions of your fav dishes! PCOS really blows. Two of my BFFs have it, and it's amazing what they have to deal with. I wish you great health and strength to get through what PCOS throws at you!
Congrats HopelessinHarriman, on doing your exercises and staying on plan with calories! That's great to hear! I weighed in this morning, and am down to 141.5! I can't believe it. I am sooooo close to having the Wii balance board not say dejectedly and dissapointedly, "aw, that's overweight". Not that bmi is the best measure, but still. Anyone else weigh on that thing? I just mute it now, since I don't like that kind of negative feedback. It's stressful enough to weigh in. |
Tab, woo hoo! You are so close to goal I'd bet you can practically taste it (whatever goal would taste like...lol). I know what you mean, though, by the Wii or charts saying that you're "overweight". I'm 5'5" and the charts say I'd be overweight at 150. When I've exercised consistently and gotten down to that weight in the past, I felt pretty darn good and, dare I say, sexy. I was wearing size 6s for crying out loud! I say, "Charts be damned!"
It is so nice to see that everyone here is doing so well and coming here to keep accountable. That really inspires me and keeps me on track. In fact, I just came in from a 35-minute walk with my oldest daughter. She's decided to start getting more exercise in her day, so I suggested we walk. I'm thinking adding walking to my T-Tapp workouts, along with doing my modified low-carb diet, should really kick my metabolism into high gear. Onederland could possibly be just a couple weeks away now. Eeeeeeeeeeee! http://bbs.roddenberry.com/images/smilies/yahoo.gif |
Oh, and I know it's really early to be thinking about this still with a little over a month left in this challenge, but I've been giving some thought about our next holiday challenge, for those of you who'd like to continue on.
In keeping with out taking-off-pounds theme, what do you all think of "Gobbling Some Pounds Off Thanksgiving Challenge", or does that sound too strange. Or how about "No More Turkey Waddle Thanksgiving Challenge"? I have a weird sense of humor, I know. I'm open to all other suggestions, ladies. |
Hahahha Sandy, you are so goofy! I like the Gobble one! Onderland would be a great way to start October! You can do it!!
Tab you are soo close! Keep it up!!! YAYAY I have been so busy at work. No time for the gym. So far, I have worked 40 hours in 3 days. I still have the rest of the week to go. No days off. Man I hate the lack of help we have right now at my store. Running around like crazy! "If you arn't movin, you arn't losin!" True! haha Well bed time for me. I will go to the gym tomorrow. Wakin up at 4 to sweat. weeee.... :( |
You're so right, Sandy, I can almost taste it! And it tastes like victory, whatever that tastes like. :D
We'll see. Even though I'm close, I've been thinking about how much my loss rate has slowed the further along I get. I actually graphed it out, and it's amazing. I've been going strong on plan since February 14th, and if you break that into 4 equal chunks: 1st quarter: average a little over a 1 lb per week 2nd quarter: averaged 0.5 lb per week 3rd quarter: averaged 0.25 lb per week 4th quarter: ~0.2 lbs per week So, if it keeps slowing, this last 1.5 lbs could take me a few months to burn off. Frustrating, when in the beginning I could expect to lose it in like a week or so. Oh, well, I'll get there eventually. I'm determined. :carrot: Thanks for the encouragement, Lindsy! |
HopelessinHarriman-- Good job getting your exercise in and staying on plan! Excellent work!
Tab-- Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm sure you'll be fully tasting victory soon! With your determination, I have no doubt that you will blast your goal out of the water. Sandy--Woohoo for more exercise! I'm sure you'll break into Onederland very soon. You're so dedicated to staying OP and keeping up with your exercise that I know Onederland will be your reality soon. I love the clever Thanksgiving Challenge ideas, by the way... I vote for Gobbling Some Pounds Off! Lindsy-- Whoa! Your schedule makes my day planner want to crawl into a hole and die. Good luck with your exercise! Hopefully, the forces of the cosmos will see fit to give you an extra-big loss this week because of all of your hard work. As for me, the signature option showed up today. I finally have my own ticker, and. . . since I haven't bothered to look up my BMI lately, I was shocked to discover that I'm not obese anymore! Overweight, overweight, overweight and SO EXCITED! Good job and good luck with staying on plan, ladies! |
My days are pure torture. I wonder how many calories I burn walking around my store all day. And just standing around. Hmmm.
Yay for a siggy for you Slammer! I'm diggin the motorcycle lol! Congrats on no longer obese! Weeee!!! :carrot: I got on the scale this morning, 167!! Weeeee!!!! Boom boom boom yeah baby! I just got home from the gym, my day started at 8 work till 5, then gym. Tomorrow is my only day off, but I still have to go in and decorate, and fluff the christmas trees! 6am- to whenever its done. After that, GYM TIME BABY! Today at the gym, I was on the spin bike just going at it, when I got off the lady that was behind me on the elliptical said " WOW you were really going hard! Great job Hun!" I was like, oh thanks! hahah it was so random but it made me feel good. Anyway. Off to make cookies. Baking relaxes me so much, dont ask why. lol Dont worry I will only have one. Ill give the rest to my coworkers ;) |
Lindsy, you are a rock star, girl! I'd be so dead from working all those hours you work to even think about going to the gym. Good girl! And congratulations on getting to 167!!
Tab, boy, it really does get hard when you are so close to goal, doesn't it? I've been there a few times in my life, so I do know how those weeks seem to drag on. But you will get there. Who knows? The weight loss fairy just might grant you a sudden 1.5-pound whoosh...http://bbs.roddenberry.com/images/smilies/angel-fly.gif Slammer, woo hoo to just being overweight! I know that feeling. Did you ever think you'd be so happy about saying that? I never did, but I, too, cannot wait to hit my magic "overweight" number of 179 so that I may sing those words. My eating is right on track, but my exercising can use a lot of work. I think I have to face the fact that I am not enjoying my T-Tapp workout like I did years before. I have to find something that I enjoy or I just won't do it. Time to do some searching. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! |
Sandy good luck finding a fun workout. I like those Tae Bo videos. I always feel like a goof for punching and kicking the air, but i always get a good sweat in.
I fell off the wagon sooooo bad yesterday. I went to Little Caesars and got a hot and ready Large Pizza. Ate it all. Every slice. Ugh. I think I like to self sabotage. It's like, I know I'm doing good on my plan. Then I have to go and mess it all up and go binge on pizza! Good news is, the scale didn't yell at me too bad this morning. 169. But thats probably because all the sodium. TODAY I WLL STAY ON PLAN. ALL WEEK I WILL! PERIOD. I'm so disappointed in myself. Oh well, have to move forward. OH! and I tried the eat with your other hand trick this morning for breakfast. I think I need to go out and buy a bib. My left hand is useless. haha It took me half an hour to eat an omelet. hahah Off to work I go! |
LOL...I think that is the whole idea about eating with your left hand, Lindsy-to teach us to slow down with our meals. I keep forgetting to try that myself.
Today is my mother's 72nd birthday! My husband will be making his zucchini lasagna, and this time I am going to take a picture of it and post it here so that you all can see how delicious it looks. You won't believe that it's low cal. |
