School starting... work getting crazy, so many things to do for my scholarship.
Sorry I've been missing.
HOWEVER!!!
I'm excited for myself. The other day my friend and I tried out a bistro that I discovered on Yelp. It wa AMAZING. I did get a sangrea... but when dessert rolled around and looked amazing and fantastic... I said No.
I know the strawberry cream tart or chocolate cake with 65% chocolate would have been amazing... but I still said no thanks.
Going to do a Jillian killer tonight. I haven't been working out as much and I shouldn't neglect it. ><
Gym starts on Tuesday! Huzzah! I want to work out 3 times a week no excuses and I want to eat healthy...
JayTee (Sarge) on reaching Your Goal Weight! Platoon on your Weight Losses. It must feel Awesome.
I haven't been on this thread in awhile. We moved, went on Vacation and now I'm still unpacking. I will put in my weight tomorrow. My goal for 8/21 - 8/28 is to lose 5 LBS. I haven't been counting calories or exercising much so, some of it will be water weight when I get back on plan. Weight on 8/21 233. GW: 228.
Good Luck, Platoon! Let's melt some Butt-er.

Reason: Add Information.
@ Reso - I LOVE oatmeal! Did you ever try the mixed berry one at Tim's? It is sooo awesome! And low calorie/no fat. Best breakfast around!
@ Chick - Awesome NSV! Did you buy the skirt after all?
@ Mozley, Chelsea - Welcome!
@ DZack - great loss!
I had a blast at the mall today. I went shopping because I am panicking that winter is coming (Canada eh?) and I have nothing to wear! I tried on my winter coats last week and I am getting lost in them
I think I drove some sales people nuts today. I kept asking for size 12 and large and one lady was actually shaking her head when I asked for size 12 corduroy pants. She gave me a 10 and said I better start with those. I ended up getting size 8 :-) YAY! I love shopping now.
I bought a few tops, a blouse, corduroy pants, running gear (oh yes!!), a down vest and a soft shell jacket. Only the jacket and vest were large (medium did fit!!) since I want to make sure sweaters fit underneath. Ohhh so nice! I was even shopping in stores I never went to because there sizes are so small!
No winter boots though. My calves are still too fat for the knee high ones :-( I need to run more!
The pledge board back in post #2 has been updated with early reports, newbies added, etc... I'll keep it updated as best as possible until I leave base at the crack o'dawn...
Good luck with your weigh-ins. Enjoy the rest of the weekend and all those SV & NSV's!!!!
Anyone wanting to play Surrogate Sarge tomorrow, feel free!!! I gotta feeling some of the comments will be priceless!
Do you forget to stretch before running? Are you getting enough water daily? Did you have a high sodium meal the day before or day of running? All 3 of the above can make my shins start to hurt.
No, but I'm pretty sure it's just because I'm trying to move up too quickly. I just started this past week, so it was my 4th or so time. :-/ I took ibuprofen yesterday (no gym), then today I have weights and I won't do any running, and then I'll do it tomorrow and hopefully that's enough time for it to chill out. :-/

Seriously! All I want to do is get to where I can run 5 miles in under an hour. I don't want to do marathons or half marathons. JUST 5 MILES.

I'm touched!
So, was my newbie pledge from the other day for my weigh-in tomorrow (I weigh sundays) for this week, or my goal for next week? Either way, with the rate I'm going, I think i'm going to use 1 lb for next week, too.
ACCCK! Teenage locusts have invaded my home! I am hiding in the broom closet to type this, knowing no teen would EVER go looking for a housekeeping tool. Before they find me and drag me back to the kitchen to feed them even more:
Pledge: 1 pound lost
Actual: 2.5 pounds lost
Trek: 15.4 miles (yes that is for a whole week --- hush now lol) next week's pledge = 1 pound
If I don't make it back, I want Reso to have my spanish-klingon dictionary, madameB to have my jet pack and cheshire to have my subscription to All Things Surreal and Wonderful .

Reason: forgot to pledge for next week --- was in other brain
Well I managed to take off 1 pound. I missed my mark by 2. I guess I better melt Butt-er next week and get my challenge on. I start the C25k on Monday for an every other day c25K run (M, W, F) Jillian will kick my BUTT-er on Tues and Thurs with an easy 1 mile run afterwards. Sat and Sun are my rest days.
