Happy Birthday to Rainbow...Happy Birthday to Rainbow...Happy Birthday dear Surrogate Sarge...Happy Birthday to you!

No worries Dreamer -- We're here whenever you can/want to check in. The life of a student is unpredictable and certainly something I never want to do again!

SMSDREAMER2007 03-29-2011 02:15 PM

LOL I love school though thats the thing. I can't wait to go to class tonight, Specially since its a health class, that is what I need right now because of my pcos and trying to lose weight. Its personal health so it deals with all of that stuff. Back from my run btw..actually ran a whole half of the three miles XD My muscles are screaming ROFL.

:bday2you: :celebrate: :gift: rainbow!!

Hi guys, just checking in this morning. I just got a phone call that I got a part time job that I applied for. (I'm a full time student but this semester is killing me with boredom. I'm waiting to apply to my program so don't have a lot going on until about September.) I'm excited because it's at a no kennel doggy daycare meaning I'm going to be on my feet playing with dogs all day instead of sitting on my booty not really doing a whole lot.

That said, I've got a good workout planned for tonight. I want to get in 50 mins of aerobic super circuit and then another 50 mins between the treadmill and elliptical. Now that the sun is out I feel so energized.

SMSDREAMER2007 03-29-2011 03:03 PM

That sounds great lucy!!! congrats!!!

JayTee 03-29-2011 03:25 PM

Sarge is incredibly proud of his "students!" You're all helping to fill in for that empty nest syndrome Sarge has going on in her own life! YOU GO GIRLS!!!! Grades! Jobs! Good health!!!! Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!

Sarge done for day...90 minutes gym time and scale fairies are definitely out and about...hope they fly in your direction too!

Cheshirecat 03-29-2011 08:09 PM

Checking in for the night.
Core, arms and some light cardio. Done
Writing down every bite. Done.

Happy Birthday Rainbow! You enjoy your day!

Lucy-Awesome about the job. It sounds like a fun way to get some cash, fight boredom and get some moving it! Whew...perfect.

Resolute-Loving the plant you have going on! I would like to grow things but I kill them from lack of attention. I have two house plants that I am not quite sure why they are alive since I barely water them once in 3 months. Oh well, I'll just live through your awesome planting skills.

As for my weight goal. I know..I am so close. I do get giddy about it and I love being able to like my body again. Can't let myself get to giddy about it or I'm liable to just stop...must keep moving forward.

Sarge-I would so be there stomping on your heels to make you get through your 10K! I am loving that picture you found of the helicopter. You are totally going to rock it, no sweat (or actually lots of sweat). There's always that extra adrenaline pumping through your veins when you go to the race--surround by other crazy people going out for a morning run! Just keep your eyes up, enjoy the view, pick someone out in front of you to pass (or keep up with). That is a favorite activity of mine..I find the person in front of me and I either push myself to pass them or keep with them depending on how much they are pushing it.
Push we are all going to be waiting back to here to hear your tale! I want a winning tale, a glorious tale. A tale of victory!

happy birthday rainbow! :celebrate:

Resolute 03-29-2011 09:33 PM

Happy birthday Rainbow. :D

Today was a day of reckoning, did a total of 14K in walking although at a reduced level ( i know the doc would admonish me... oh well i'm wounded not dead, i can take it ), as well as some browsing around the mall following my mom around. :dizzy:

Anyways tonights weigh in i finally dropped a pound - 238 baby, sheesh it's been like forever since i saw a new number pop up, and on a tuesday no less. :p I'm hoping beyond hope i can drop 1 or 2 more this week.

I also get my mini reward for finally seeing the scale move, a rye and ginger, oh boy oh boy, such a simplistic set of expectations but i'm happy.

Will keep calories at 2000 again today and pray to the scale God to be kind the rest of this week.

Chesire : This plant is like bionic or something, pretty sure anyone could nurse it. :p

Hey girls - Big  for everyone, i'm happy tonight. :p

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MILES!!!!! :carrot::carrot::carrot:

I've been on track! And, I also stepped on the scale for S&G this am, and am down a lb too. It's the TOM (TMI) so go figure I didn't lose anything...I'm over beating myself up. We have up and down weeks so that's what I'm going with. Hope everyone's day is continuing in the right direction.

Sarge- I'm planning on doing a half marathon in September, I just started the c25k thing, or something similar with an app on my ipod that tells me when to run and when to walk hahahaah as I'm just starting out it works for me.

Didn't work out today, because my fiancee was home and I took advantage of the sleep! (I work midnights so my schedule is bass ackwards). So plan for tomorrow is to stop at gym on my way home, and do my run training, then go home clean up the house, and do my videos later in the day. I also have schoolwork to do tomorrow so I get it done. I'm going to Boston this weekend to visit a friend that lives up that way so I'll be using her apartment complexes gym. Can't get off track when I'm so on!

rose73 03-29-2011 09:57 PM

-3 for the week. Cardio and trainer so far this week. Cardio tomorrow, not sure what I'll do Thursday and Trainer again on Friday. Trying to pay more attention to calorie intake this week.

Keep it going everyone!

Cheshire--Thanks for the good wishes on the run! I'm leaving you and your fellow cat people a motivational image below.

Resolute -- Are you crazy, man?!?!? Weren't you afriad of walking that far post-surgery? I feel like we should have put a gps on you just in case you didn't come back. On the other hand, CONGRATS on the NEW LOW!!!!! I told you the scale fairies were out today!

Murps -- Glad you're down a pound too. Make sure you stay true to that intention of using the apartment complex gyms. It's a nice change of scenery to use new gyms. 1/2 Marathon??? Good luck with that, seriously! I just can't wrap my head around those distances anymore.

Tubak -- Did you work out, or just drop in for a slice of Rainbow's birthday cake?

Ok...for those early risers I leave you with this image to get Hump Day started off in the right direction...

Sarge

Well yesterday i did a slow 5K felt a little sore but fine, this morning i did a 6K and felt fine, so come this evening i started out just thinking another shortened walk but the skies had cleared and the temps were up and i felt great so i said to heck with it, kept to a slightly reduced effort but did almost a full walk.

To be honest i am in probably the best shape i have been in for 15 years, this has hardly slowed me down, the incision has to be small because the dressing is small, not to mention it is right in my center torso ( belly button) so it's quite easy to restrict movement in this area. I feel fine so i will just continue to hold back a little but i refuse to stop totally, when they issue these guidelines i doubt they consider if the person has walked almost 10K every day for a year or more, honestly i would not actually hurt myself intentionally. :)

Thankyou for your concern. http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/715/heartwml.gif:hug:

heheh, how did you know? when you asked whether i just dropped in for a slice of that cake, i felt like a chubby cartoon rat sneaking into the kitchen. haha tiptoeing
tonight i went for a trial class of cardio kickboxing. it wasn't nearly as intense as i expected it to be... actually it was quite easy:dance: OR i wasn't pushing myself??
i also snuck in a quick 25 minutes on the elliptical at the gym in the afternoon.
the semester's winding down so i barely have anytime for the gym, sooo many papers to write! ughhhhh:(
well i will also be going to the gym tomorrow for a half hour session again.

good night platoon and rise early for some BUTT-er melting! :carrot:
