thanks sizzling and madam!

Thanks ladies for linking the C25K so much quick! hehe
Dreamer - I started doing it last year.. I had to repeat a couple of the weeks, but could not believe I made it to the 20 minute non-stop run, and finished it! I got a painful kidney stone after that, so I never finished the program. This year I feel like I am in better shape (thanks to Sarge lol), so I am hoping to not have to repeat weeks. *crosses fingers* It really is a great way to train your body to run.. Since you already run/walk it's definitely something you might want to try out! There are a few podcasts out there with cues when to run. My personal favorite is this one http://runningintoshape.com/5k-training-downloads/ but you can find them with different types of music. Right now I am not really worried about the speed/distance.. just working on being able to run for longer periods of time.. speed can come later. hehe All of these people doing 2-a-days are so inspiring!.. and Rainbow taking her bike on vacation - taking active lifestyle to another level! OMG peanutt a 14 is awesome! Congrats! |

god, I love this thread! Just sayin'
You all make me laugh! See, we're all proof that when people are "dieting" we aren't necessarily crabby! ok, Sarge back to the gym for #2 and a two hour tape of American Idol from this week. Yes, I said "tape," as in VCR...now if they'd only bring back 8-tracks... (quick, name the movie reference!) Also, speaking of pants sizes and American Idol...perhaps we can combine the two...does anyone remember the bust-out Idol audition song from last year, "Pants on the Ground?" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tMwhl4IrPNc That's right, now I dare you to get that song out of your head. Also, think about what size your falling-off "Pants on the Ground" would be...again, so funny in my own head...must be the endorphins. :) MadamB-- Inside Sarge's head is a very, very, bat crazy kind of place! |
Hey Platoon!
I'm back from my Field Trip! I was a little frantic this morning so I did miss my early morning stop by the platoon! It always does put me on the right foot in the morning. Thankfully the cold has mostly moved on, but it took my voice with it. I was croaking like a stepped on toad. So I called my principal to see if I should still come and she was scrambling to find subs for other teachers, so if I could still come no voice and all. So off I went, trying my hardest to get my whispered croaks loud enough for the kids to hear. Luckily my class is very well behaved, and I had some parent help with me so it turned out to be a very pleasant trip. Definitely on my feet the WHOLE time. Heck, I barely had time to eat lunch. I JUST finished it actually when I got home since I barely ate half there. Anyhoo....good times. Though I made sure to leave sub plans before I left today just in case. My voice is even worse off now. And, I hate to do it but it's going to be a VERY light exercise day. I'm worn out as it is. Thanks for the tune Reso, it's nice to have music in the background while I catch up on the thread. I totally endorse C25k---I did it a few years back when I first got in to running and it's a great way to do it. Don't be afraid to repeat weeks as needed especially the later ones. And definitely do not worry about speed! That comes with time. I have a group of co-workers I helped start running and I took them through the program and now they are all doing 5ks! So proud of them. But they are always worried about speed! Don't! There will always be someone faster and someone slower! Love the pant size names! They make more sense them any of the sizes they have now! Great job with planning on bringing your bike on your vacation. That is some inspiring thinking. I so hear Coco on saying it's inspiring to read about all the 2 a day workouts you guys get! Way to go for it. Sarge-I totally remember that song from last Idol! Ha, great new use for it! Okay, I feel caught up now! You guys are all awesome. |
Chesh--so, how was lunch? Hope you're on the mend by tomorrow, but taking a pre-arranged sub free day wouldn't be all bad. Make sure you check in tomorrow morning. Reso misses your morning wake-up call!
Platoon, here's a BUTT-er motivation poster (yes, I'm awares--it looks like delicious food porn...and we wonder why we are such an obese nation): http://www.motifake.com/image/demoti...1276542316.jpg Sarge done with 2 today...50 min stairmaster + 3.5 walk tread = 1101 "machine" calories burned. I love my machines! Good evening all! :drill: Sarge P.S. Peanutt--WTG on the OMG pants size! |

OMG OMG OMG, got off the scale tonight, hope the doc doesn't mind if i dance because i was. :D 235 measly pounds i am. Went for a relaxing walk this morning and a more vigorous one this late afternoon, BTW i have one sexy looking shadow, he's so slim and trim, yep the sun was out. :dizzy: I'm not sure if i conveyed properly just how ecstatic i am with this day, i knew something was up though because my insides seemed to finally be settled today, too many bathroom visits. Anyways i continue to stick to the plan, it might slow from time to time but it keeps with results, just have to have patience. Sarge i know you are going to send me to the moon but heres a  for letting loose the scale fairies. This dance is on me. :D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_gz_dk2XGzQ |
Reso--ok, just one little hug for the phenomenal loss but that's IT!!! Also, what a great NSV, a sexy, skinny shadow! Hear that ladies, that's what we work for tomorrow...SEXY, SKINNY, SHADOWS that don't wear OMG THUD size jeans!
That is all! :drill: Sarge |
Provided it's sunny again tomorrow, I'll try to snap a pic of my sexy skinny shadow and my sweet new rubber boots on my lunchtime walk. :D
