My September goals are:
1. Walk at least 36 miles
2. Do a Firm or Hip Hop Abs workout at least 3 times each week
3. Track my calories on My Plate daily
4. Limit the calories I spend on junk food
5. Eat more whole foods
6. Stay focused!
I gained .4 this week. :-( I am going to keep it up another week at the same amount of calories and amp up my exercise like I have been and see what happens before I give up on 1200 calories a day (by either increasing or decreasing).
your weight's supposed to fluctuate naturally, so don't get discouraged by a .4 gain. ^_^ Plus if you exercising, you might be gaining muscle weight while losing your fat weight. Muscle weighs a lot more than fat and it's also a lot healthier... sooo think positively!
on a side note... my campus is ridiculously spread apart, but i felt more energized after taiji today... which is just weird... shouldn't it just tire me out?
so having officially finished my first week of school i've come to the conclusion that i need to revise my goals for this autumn challenge. I am going to need a bit of time to let my body adjust to the extra strain i'm putting on it from simply walking around campus and doing taiji. i've been sick for a long time and i think i've been a bit too eager. That being said i refuse to completely abadon my goals all together.
so! my revised goals are as follows: *Cut out fast food entirely
*Limit my soda intake to 24oz per day
*Cut out non-diet sodas altogether
*Start the c25k on September 20 and finish it before November 30
*Limit my junk food intake to 2 pieces a week
*Keep a diet blog to help keep myself in check
*Exercise on Saturdays since I only have taiji Mon and Wed.

I did horrible yesterday . I was starving for some reason which is not typical for me, but I am starting fresh today and not going to let my eating yesterday discourage me. I am going to do wekly WI also. I weight in on Sundays so I am just gonna post my Sunday weight.
jade, awesome job listening to your body and adjusting those goals. Being realistic is sometimes hard to do...

Canadian mom, I have recently switched my weigh-ins to Sundays too, so I'll be in the same boat as you!
I said I'd weigh yesterday for this thread and post, but I didn't, so I weighed today and I'm still at 150.6. So there we go... I think I'm eating too few calories, around 1100 on average. I think I lose much better at 1500cals/day. I'm upping cals for the remainder of the week and I'll let you all know!
I'm in!! I have fallen off the wagon this summer and have gained some weight back... I joined Weight Watchers and our first meeting is Wednesday Sept 8th.
My goals:
1) Down 30 pounds
2) Get back on track with my exercise
3) Stay on track with my eating
I'm tired!! working out 5x a week is much harder than 2x a week!! So yesterday, i looked at my old posts, and noticed that I lose weight much easier when I'm eating 1500 calories. Also, for some reason I do better when I have a daily treat. i'm thinking it keeps me on track enough to stay within calories. And i sometimes binge when the scale is mean... SO i'm upping my calories to 1500!! and allowing for a little treat within those cals!! also, i am going to have one 'cheat' meal a week. and continue to weigh just once a week to ward off bingeing. aaand, i'm trying this for 3 whole weeks before making any changes!
