Morning Ladies,

1lbatatime and Miss CeCe - Welcome aboard! We're a chatty bunch so hop right in and good luck!

SG - It's the devil I say! Ijust hate when junk food speaks to you, it's the only time I think I'm truly crazy. I'm right there beside ya, no unplanned food today, day two back on the wagon.

Sandye - Congrats on day two! It's so nice to have the works finished right away. Oh snoring, ugh, that drives me right up the wall, and if he wasn't sick, to the couch! lol hopefully he'll be better soon and you can get at least 3-4 good hours ;) Studying is coming along, got another test this week so busy, busy and not running so I'll have even more time to dive into the books to distract myself.

Mystical - That sounds like a great idea, a 30 day approved rotation, lol, then the family won't feel so imposed upon. I can't wait to see you get that goal, it's going to be awesome!

FGG - Yeah for going to the gym today, I'm a tad envious to say the least, I too and one of those people, lol. The hip is well, still there and still irritating but that was an awesome massage anyway. Awesome losses too, I can't believe how fast you're dropping, 63lbs already!

Gekster - That's just brilliant! That just warmed my heart, that's so what it's all about right there, I'm so glad you got to have that moment.

That's all for me, down another 2lbs from the weekend to 139, that feels better already, I like seeing under 140, I feel better here. Gotta run, TTFN.

So, I weighed in at 254 lbs this morning. That's awesome - the lowest I've been in over a year. I gained 30+ lbs practically overnight when we moved to mexico - all the yummy street food and pan dulce did a number on me :lol. It will only be down from here!

pokeycactus 02-02-2010 12:15 PM

Hi! I know you all started yesterday, but I'd like to join in, if it isn't too late!!! I'm at 211 right now and REEEEALLLY want to get into the 100's by the end of February! I started at 240 and am now down to 211 by myself, but found this forum and am hoping it'll help me keep going --I'm losing steam!

Let me know if it's too late to join in though, I don't want to throw anything off!

Hey Im In!!!! Dang take a day off for my birthday and the girl gets behindier again. It depends on whom ya wanna believe wether my bday is 1-30 or 1-31. So we celebrated Sat Sun And Mon :-) We will get it right one way of the other! I was a good girl calorie wise. So glad to be here. So here goes with the goal for the month.

sw 160.4
gw 155

I hit goal weight for Jan but gained .4 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I have a NSV!!!! I went shopping at a local chain store yesterday. Thought Id treat myself to a birthday present. Did my Jaw Drop!!!! Size 16 jeans are a little bit loose. Size 14 jeans are a little tight. Went from 1x to 16 pants. Went from 1x t shirts to 12-14. I got the 16 pants hoping a wash in hot water and a hot dryer will shrink them just enough they fit snug. That is motivation to keep plugging along. So thankful for the support of this group.

LouisaH- thanks. I have been trying to reach the 220's for what feels like months.

I did get some good tips from one of the dieticians at work regarding eating and training for this crazy triathlon thing. Worked out with the trainer this am and am going to be signing up for the local gym with a pool this afternoon. The swimming starts today. :) ugh!! fingers crossed. Here we go!!!

Have a great day!

Welcome everyone. My brother just set a wedding date for July 10th so I have a goal of 25 pounds by then. I think this was just to motivator I needed to get my rear in gear as those pictures will last forever.
I took a Zumba class last night for the first time and really enjoyed it. Better yet, my Sensewear (bodybugg) said that I burned 600 calories in an hour. The class is at our local fire station and they just ask for a $2 donation per class.

I LOVE zumba!!! It's how I lost the first 30 pounds, I'm addicted. I'm planning on getting certified to teach zumba this summer, I like it that much :)

bigmomma 02-02-2010 03:08 PM

Here I am again :) Considering this is a short month and the fact that I am getting over being sick, I think I will be aiming for 8lbs. that would get me out of the 60's and down to 259.

SW - 267
GW - 259
total lbs. lost for this challenge 4lb.

Feb.07~266
Feb.14~264
Feb.21~263
Feb.28~263

I'm in! I have a "mini goal" of 5lbs that I set for myself to get me out of the 190s so I will be okay with that but more than anything, I would like to drop a dress/pant size before my cousins wedding on Feb 27th. This would be exactly one month from the day I started changing my eating/excercise habits so it will be interesting to see what happens. If I happen to hit my 5lb goal, I might just extend it by 5 more. I would be happy with a 10lb loss for February. So far, it seems like the 6lbs I am down is water - but I'm not complaining too much. 6lbs is 6lbs.

Best of luck to everyone this month!

Taurie 02-02-2010 03:18 PM

My goal is 3 lbs taking me to 118 lbs. I keep bouncing back between 121.4 and 120.8, so I want to be 118 by the end of Feb!

Loves2Cook 02-02-2010 04:05 PM

Hi Everyone! I hope I'm not too late to join in. I'm a newbie. My goal is to lose 1 pound a week. lately its been only 1/2 a pound. I will increase my water intake. I do not like this slow reduction, but I'll take anything!

2/1 - 149

shasha12 02-02-2010 04:16 PM

Hi all!! I would love to join this challenge! :D Feb will be month 2 for me...Lost 6lbs in Jan (a little more maybe bc I think I'm holding water), so I'm going to be bold and shoot for an 8lb loss in February!!

CW(Feb 1): 161
GW(March 1): 153

Let's do this! :carrot:

Ms Perception 02-02-2010 05:24 PM

Hey everyone! Just an FYI: It's NEVER too late to join this challenge. The more the merrier!!
Hope everyone is having an OP day. I am not exactly on the straight and narrow, but definitely improving. Here's my little sob story of how I got SO off track this past week (aside from the moving itself). Our appliances were delivered last Tuesday, but last Monday we got a call from the store to let us know that though they would deliver them, they could not install them since their installer was in the hospital. So, the range, microwave and dishwasher are not functional. Thank heavens the fridge is or I'd be going nuts trying to figure out meals. It's bad enough as it is. I've been limited to what I can cook on whatever small kitchen appliances I have unpacked. Thankfully now I have mostly unpacked all my kitchen boxes, so I have an electric skillet, a George Foreman grill, a toaster, a crockpot, and a Presto pizza oven. (I LOVE kitchen stuff, so I have a decent collection to work with.) Anyway, it's been harder than I thought to come up with healthy family meals with these items. The electric skillet has been a God-send, though. Now, let me mention than I'm also functioning with very limited groceries since we've been to busy and broke to go on a major grocery shopping trip. That's been making it even more challenging since I can make almost anything in the crockpot at this point, but I gotta have the ingredients to do it. I have a doozy of a list going for my planned grocery trip Friday, though, let me tell ya!!
Anyway, I weighed in today at 134.4 which is okay since I've been unable to function properly in the kitchen. I will not complain at all!

Hello ladies. Congrats MsP. on finally making the move. I remember those days. Couldn't wait for that first big shopping trip!!!! You will get your groove back on and all will be right on the SS MsP!!!!!!

Welcome to all the new faces and glad to see the repeaters!!! This is gonna be a great month. I can really feel it. So, here I am home from my first swim. Boy, that was great. I am gonna sleep well tonight. I was able to do much more than I thought. 1/2 mile swim, here I come. The best part about it though, the bathing suit that I used to struggle to get on, now is TOOBig!!!! That made my day. Bad news though, I think I figured out part of the cause for my leg swelling and this weird feeling I have been getting for the past week. Vericose Veins!!! It runs in my family. The only trait of my mothers that I did not want to inherit. I will check with one of the Docs I work with tomorrow just to make sure it is nothing more. I doubt it, but looks like a vericose vein to me. :( But the swimming part was great. What a great workout also. The water provides some really awesome resistance along with the opportunity for a great cardio workout without all the pounding. Which should be really great for my knee. This triathlon thing is looking more and more like a not so crazy idea.

Everyone looks like they have some great goals. 3FC will be the hottest chicks around this summer. I can't wait. 86 days until my vacation :)

Best dishes and lots of love and light to all of my peeps!!!

nellonello 02-02-2010 10:35 PM

Sandye - Your advice regarding WATER has been echoing in my thoughts for the last few days. Today I listened to you and drank my water and I forgot how much better I feel when I am drinking what I should. Just wanted to come and say :thanks:.
