OK ladies... weighing in at 136.2 I am shooting for 4 pounds. So my goal will be 133.2. Last month the goal was too high for me so I am going to bring it down a little bit and see if I can reach this one.

I'm aiming for 245lbs by the end of the month. So that's 9.4 lbs in 4 weeks. It's ambitious, butI think I can do it!

Heya Chickies!! Wow, a new month already. Well I don't think I quite made my January goal, but such is life.
So I made it to 158, then somehow this morning I was 160 again. Those stupid 160's just don't want to let go!!! So goal for Feb is a reasonable 6 pounds. That would put me at 154. |

On second thought - perhaps I should weigh myself on 2/15, to prevent any unnecessary "splurging" the day before... So I'll be back to report then. Cheers and best of luck to everyone!

Joining the party a little late, but the plan is to lose at least 10 pounds this month and to meet most of my 30-day mini-goal (that ends March 2, since Feb. is a short month).
So 225ish now and hopefully 215 at most by March 1. |
WELCOME Everyone!! I tried posting my goals last night, but I guess it didn't post since it should've been the first one. Anyway, I'm keeping it simple this month. The goal is to maintain under 135. My only other goals are exercise related so I will hop on over to the exercise thread and take care of that!
Soooooooooooo much to catch you all up on, but suffice it to say I have been eating like crap and working like mad at all the moving stuff. It should all get better during the course of the month so I can get back to the lovely routine! :D |

And I'm the proud owner of a snack free day today, well that's not true, I had snacks but planned ones, nothing unplanned is probably more accurate. Felt pretty good after this last weekend. And SG oh I feel your chex mix pain, lol. Hey MsP, glad you're in there finally!

Looooong day at work yesterday with an Academic Bowl meet after work. Stupid sugar cravings too and I caved with a snack size chocolate bar and like 3 dum dum suckers. Other than that, though, nothing off plan and so I'm pretty sure I ended up within calorie range as I ate subway for dinner and that is usually far under what I budget for dinner. I will be strong today and not eat anything outside of my plan. I can do this! Tummy Maaan, I thought I was the only one in the world with a chex mix bug. That stuff KILLS me, I mean... why is it so good? |

I'm definitely sticking around! I've learned my lesson! No straying from this group as no good can come from it! And heck ya you can do it! Just say NO to the sugary stuff!!! Tummy~ how goes the studying? I hope good! :) Okay ladies, I'm off to a good start today. Got my workout in despite wanting to sleep, sleep, sleep! That's been one of my biggest obstacles with getting back on track. My girls are still waking me up most nights and now hubby's sick and so his snoring is out of control! However, I'm not going to let lack of sleep derail me this time! Nope! I don't care if I have to got to bed at 8pm to get my sleep--I'm getting my workouts in at 6am!!! Okay, well, better get going! I need to tidy up the kitchen and fold some laundry! Have a great day ladies!!! |
Hello ladies glad to see so many here :) I am looking forward to getting to know all the new ones and glad to see the familiar ones back.
As for me I am setting a goal to get to 210 5lbs , it is still TOM so weight is up and down allot this week "215" again :( !!! Hopefully it will be back down but regardless I am very proud of myself for making some great changes in my life this month. The dietician will be back on Saturday to go over some things with us. YEAH! Almost forgot to share with you ladies I am working on a master grocery list with a book that I am making for our family "30-Day Meal Plan" One of my friends made one to make her life easier and I am doing the same. She gets new recipes and then the family votes on them and if they are approved they will be added. So I am off to go through my new cookbooks that my dietician advised for me finally got them in I now have 4 healthy eating cookbooks to go through yeah. I'll check in later today with some personals... Have a wonderful day! |
Sandye - I had no idea you were M.I.A. because so was I. I will say this about the weight gain - you know exactly what you would say to someone else if this happened to them, so just keep telling yourself the same things. It’s ok, we all fall sometimes, the important thing is that you get back up. You’re up now and you’re here, and you will be back where you want to be in no time. Do the things we would all tell a newbie to do until you get back on track - plan, plan, plan, take it one day at a time, drink your water, forgive yourself. Glad to see that you are starting to get a few good days down, you know that the more of them you can string together the easier it gets.
Tummy - I’m sorry about your hip. I agree, if the massage doesn’t help (or only helps temporarily) take that hip to the doc. Our hips are too important to not take proper care of them. SG - I’m so glad you were able to walk away from the cheddar chex mix - the spicy one is my nemesis, followed closely behind by the caramel one. Louisa - I am just using a $25 job from wal-mart, but I have heard good things about the biggest loser scales. Ms. P - I’m glad to see you are moved, I feel you about the craziness of it. DH is air force, so lots of moving. Today is going to be my first day back to the gym since Thursday. They shut my gym down over a tiny little bit of ice. I was so mad. It was open yesterday, but I had a hurt foot. My foot is feeling better today, so I get to go to the gym. I’m excited! I have become one of those people. I truly am excited that I get to go to the gym. I never would have thought that would be me. I have been going crazy the last few days looking for ways to burn the same amounts of calories that I burn on the treadmill and bike. My home elliptical is also currently out of commission and DH has to buy a new tool before he can fix it. I’ve mostly been marching in place a lot while watching movies and a tossed in a few DVD workouts. Today I don’t have to march, I get to go run, WOOHOO! I have been really loving my scale lately. Since getting the holiday and illness weight off I have just kept going and I got under 190 which was a big goal for me. 190 was the least I had ever weighed since sometime before high school. Now, I am constantly seeing new lows and it is so motivating. Today I was 181.6, that is going to have me just buzzing through my workout. |
Sorry I bailed out last month. School started back and it is kicked my butt already! I didn't make goal, but I didn't gain anything either so it is a win. I'm still shooting for 270 so hopefully I can get back on track.
In NSV news, I went out shopping with a friend yesterday I hadn't seen in about 2 years. She stepped out of the car and was like "You've lost so much weight!" It is the first comment (other than from my doc who can see the number loss) about weight loss. Now that is a way to start clothes shopping! I had to buy some professional type looking things for the program at school I'm in and I found amazing things without spending too much money. I was shocked at how things were fitting. I even managed to get a suit jacket that looks fitted. I am normally a tshirt, jeans, sneakers kinda girl, but today I am wearing nice stuff, and even make up, and I don't feel awkward.. I feel like I am worth it. I think this is the first time in a long time I feel proud to be me. |
