Nessy, congrats on nearly 5 lbs down!! :yay: Woohoo, girl!! :carrot: You are rolling right along! And as far as May being 1/3 over, we are only 1 1/2 weeks into our May Challenge and May is over four weeks long. We actually have 3 whole weeks left from today! So only a little over 1/4 of the month is over, so you have plenty of time to lose 10 lbs and fit into those capris! And you're almost halfway there!! :cp:
Delphi, yep, I'll have to have a plan for Tuesday afternoon/evening too. Luckily that night is Biggest Loser and American idol night. I watch one and tape the other, so that will take up lots of the time! :corn: Supachix, Jodi, I am so sorry to hear that your husband was laid off a year ago. Indiana's economy is very much like Ohio's, mainly based on factory jobs. :( I am also sorry to hear about your van acting up. Grrrr! Hopefully, it's something simple to fix! But through all that stress, you did a great job in keeping yourself a priority and not emotional eating!! Good for you, girl!! :cheer3::cheer2::cheer3: Lene, great job is staying OP and drinking your water!! Wow, you had a tough time of it with all those desserts to get past but you did it!! :cookie: And you dropped that pizza cheese!! :jeno: Good for you!! :carrot: Lewis!!! 7 miles?!!! WOW!! Great going!!!! :cheer: That is just incredible!! I don't think the end of the month will be sneaking up on you this time!! :woops: Well, TOM has officially ended and I woke up to find that I had lost 2 more lbs!! Woohoo!! :yay: Here I was, thinking the scale just might not move this month, and I've lost 4 lbs so far!! I stepped on the scale five times this morning to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me, lol, even though my scale always registers the same number no matter how many times you step on it! I kept thinking, "Is that an 8? That can't say 193! But yes, it was a 3!! 193 lbs, yay!! :cp: I hope everyone has a great OP day!! :) |
:congrat: on the three pound loss JD! :cheer2: :cheer3: :cheer2: Gee, I sure hope that happens to me as well, come Sunday!

My, my! Losts of posts last night--man, I spend one night in agony with aching knees and look at all the posts I missed!
FST ~ Yes--those crazy spinnin' loons stand up and sit down, stand up, sit down...over and over and over! Hills, decels, increases, up, down, up, down...crazy stuff! I bet if I was in shape I would have done much more, but well...I'm not. My friend told me that she couldn't do all the up and down stuff at first either so at least I felt a little better. SupaChix ~ congratulations on starting the C25K! Sorry to hear about your husband getting laid off, that's one thing I wasn't mentally prepared for when we moved here--the mass lay offs at the factories. My heart goes out to those who lost their jobs. :( However, on the bright side, you did a great job not turning to food when you van gave you issues. I'm an emotional eater, so I know exactly how hard it is to stay away from that sort of behavior. I hope your husband finds a new job soon! Fenderella ~ WB! Happy Belated Birthday! :) Now enough nice talk--get movin'!!! You can TOTALLY make your goal! Hope to see you more often--you're right ya know, being able to post here daily and be accountable to everyone has totally helped me stay focused! :) JasonsLea ~ congrats on the mile! I love how you wrote 'I shall do it again.' it brought a smile to my face! Delphi ~ You are kickin' butt! You didn't let TOM get the best of you yesterday--for that you should be most proud! :) Lewis~ 7 MILES! Woo Hoo You ROCK Girlie!!! :carrot: Holy cow, now I feel like an arse for complaining about that spin class! WTG hun, you're on fire! Lene1974 ~ congrats on not caving into temptation with the donuts and muffins! I had to serve Krispy Kremes on Friday to my son's class and the smell was heavenly--but I steered clear! But you also avoided caving with the desserts--amazing! You should be very proud of yourself!!! Neesy ~ come on girl, you can do it! We're here for ya! And you've still got plenty of time to make that goal!! Heck, you've already lost nearly 5 lbs! This'll be no sweat! :) Jacqui ~ :cheer: 2 lbs gone! Woo hoo!!! Congrats! I told you once TOM was gone you'd see a drop! :D Yay!!! So Tuesday we're going to be without 3FC?!?! OMGosh, how am I gunna cope? Ack! I'm gunna go nuts!:dizzy: Okay, so I'm feeling much better today--I can walk without wincing which is always a good thing ;) Got a halfway decent night sleep and exercised this morning. Whew--I didn't want to at all--almost came here and begged you girls to kick me! ;) Down .6 lbs today so I'm at 180.2 today. :yay: that's almost 6 lbs gone! Although I dunno, maybe more like 5? I knocked a pound off of my start weight when I got the new scale but I still feel like I'm cheating a little--should I knock of 2 lbs? Or is that .5 lb really all that important? Ugh...I know I'm being a dork, but I want to get the numbers as close to right as possible kwim? Anyway, kept both the boys home today--everyone's got snotty noses and headaches and is generally feeling icky (well, everyone but me--because who else is going to take care of everyone when they're sick? ;)) so I've got all 4 kiddos home today. I wish it was for something fun like the zoo or something. Well ladies, enjoy your day! I hope it's a great one! The sun is shining, the birds are singing, all 4 kids are coughing ;)... And of course, don't forget to... Drink Your Water!!!!! :D |
@ crazymomma ~ :congrat: on the loss and I can definitely relate with the boys sick. I have four boys myself and it is so hard to keep all of them from not getting sick when one has it. Thankfully, we posses super, awesome mommy powers that keep us going when they are all sick..eh? ;) Good luck and I hope they get to feeling better soon. :)

Just popping in quick girls! You all are doing so well, LOTS of Motivation around here!!! :love:I LOVE IT:love:
CrazyMamaof4- I don't think my seven miles is equivalent to a "Spin class of Terror!":fr: I didn't have anyone yellling at me Up, DOWN, faster, "feel the burn"! LOL- I think you are very brave for trying that, a litttle crazy:dizzy:, but BRAVE!!!! Glad you are feeling better today, and I always force a gentle workout when I am sore, seems to help loosen things up! P.S WTG, on not eating any Krispy Kreme Krack!!!!! Those are soooo addictive!!! That is impressive! Oh, and I am drinking my water today! Jaqui_D= Nope, I am making it happen early this month, because the cruise is coming up, and I don't want to be caught without GOAL MET next to my name! ;) I think we all do the scale dance at weigh in....deep breath, release, step on, off, on, off, reset, on, off LOL- at least I know I am not alone in my insanity! :dizzy: Delphi- WTG on the early morning workouts! I love getting mine out of the way early, but it doesn't always happen that way, because I also love to sleep in!:D I know you don't have that luxury! I also noticed your big Red Goal Met next to your name! It looks SOOOOOO GooooD!:bravo: Keep it up! Oh, you can get a measuring tape at the dollar store! Supachix, :hug I am soooo proud of you for not eating for emotions! That is HUGE!!!! Especially with all that stress going on! My husband has been mostly out of work for a while too (he has done some little side jobs), and has learned to be a better house husband. I know how tight things are for so many families right now. We have been praying for "the right job" to come along for my husband, and it finally did he started today! So I will move your husband and family into that prayer slot, and just keep on prayin'!!!!!!! Just keep on trucking, "this too shall pass" (that is what my Mom always says) Neesy- You are doing fine, don't get freaked out! It looks like you are right on track! Just keep your eye on the goal! Lene- I am so anxious to hear how you did this week!!!! Awesome job on steering clear of those treats! But I thought cheese was Ok for you??? Isn't SB kinda like atkins only with fruit?? I am confused??? But, if you aren't supposed to have it, I am doubly impressed with you! You are sticking to your commitment, and you will be rewarded! Fullsteamahead, I hope you are having some good sunny weather, so you get a chance to walk on your beach. It has been mostly rain here. I am looking forward to some sunshine, If it doesn't show up before the cruise, I will have to use some spray tan!:o or risk looking like this:dance: HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Well good luck on your wi today, I am anxious to here how you did! Cakebatter?????????????????????? We miss you! Losing??????????????????????We miss you too! |
Hi ladiesssssssssssss, I couldn't wait to come in, I had trouble getting on earlier. I lost 4 pounds! :) I am so so happy! I dont know if i can count it all (maybe 3?) because I had a little gain after the weekend before starting SBD. ANyhow, I am absolutely thrilled for the loss. I hadn't a number like that in months! Leneeee, ty my lady, ty ty! and a big ty to all of you for the support and encouragement
I see we have much great news this morning! A big c ongratulations to Jacqui and crazymamaof4 for the losses, :cheer::cheer:: :carrot::carrot:congrat: to you both. Ok, I am going to post in order of the thread so I don't miss anyone. I havn't typed since yesterday afternoon and it feels like a long time! ok, decided to post this and brb. |
supachix, Ihad trouble getting in due to my connection rather than any site difficulties but I saw something on the boards about people having trouble getting in with the updater browser. What do you have for a browser? That could be the problem and if I recall correctly they found some way around it.
Congratulationssssssss to you and Breawna on starting the program and on your workout yesterday :cheer2::cheer3: I am sorry to hear of your situation there. I hope that there is some kind of plan, scheme, and/or help and that things all work out for you. Hopefully it is just a minor problem with the van. Hang in there supchicks and know that we are here for you. Keep up with the great workouts girls, it's a great stress releiver and your both doing so well. Bravo to you both for working on your health regiment and taking care of yourselves despite everything else, that really takes a lot. Hope today is a better day for you. Hi Fenderella :) No, it's okay sweety...happens to the best of us. We get busy sometimes and/or fall off plan and not post, don't feel bad for that  Happy to see you, it's real nice having you here girl. Ohhh, that is fantastic that you only gained .4, wtg on maintaining your loss! That is super Fenderella! :) Remember also, that though we strive for our goals n ot to get too hung up on that number or making goal, In other words...if at any point you feel you might not make that number, don't let it be your demise (I have seen people leave because of it in t he past) and remember to instead focus on all the progress you have made! :) I try and do the same thing. It's still early in the game though and we have 3 whole weeks chicky, so let's go for it. ;) posting for fear of losing post, brb |
Oh my....this is surely a chatty bunch ;). I think I will have to make some time during the weekends to come and read some posts or I am going to be missing half the action here.
Delphi: Happy belated birthday to you. You got some awesome presents from your friend. I love the Wii Fit! e.mccoy: You were asking about cravings a couple of days ago. I don't have many cravings for sweets, but when I used to work at a certain place and lead the weight loss classes, some ladies found out that the cravings would subside after a while of not having them....kind of like a detox i would say, not sure if that's an option for you, but you can keep that in mind. crazymamaof4: Wow! That spinning class sounds painful LOL. You should be proud that you at least finished it, and I am happy to read that your knees are starting to feel a bit better now. And WTG on your loss! SupaChix: Congrats on starting the C25K! Let us know how you do. Oh and good job on not eating because of how you feel, that is a great victory. Jacqui_D: Are they doing maintenance on the site? Maybe at least they will fix the problems with it. I am here typing away fearing I am going to lose my long post. Jacqui_D: Congratulations on the loss! You are doing awesome! FSA: 4 lbs! Unbelievable that is so great. Bet you are glad you didn't give in to those bread cravings :P I am feeling much better now. I usually don't suffer much through TOM but I did this time and I guess i don't know how to deal with it. I drank lots of water and I managed to stay away from crappy food during the weekend. I weighed in today and the scale finally moved a tiny bit, not much, but I will take it since I had been stuck for such a long time. I am hoping this is only a sign of things to come :) Officially I am down to 174 lbs (down 0.6) |
Delphi, congratulations for staying OP and even getting in your exercise with TOm and all :carrot::carrot: I hope your feeling better today and you seem to be, so I am happy for that. :) Keep smiling lady and enjoy your day :).
Jacquiiiiii, COngrats again on that losss! wtg chickie :carrot::carrot: Your already getting close to getting down to another decade! :) Jacqui? the site is goind to be down tomorrow? oh going to miss you girls, I'll try and sneak in a post before lunchtime. ANyhow, keep up the awesome work : ). Lewisempireeeeee, if cake were here, she would say you animal! re that 7 mile hike  Come out and play cake, I miss that! Lewis, way to rock it chicky! :) :carrot::carrot: I am so glad you got through TOM ok, due to the increased intake of water right before and during tom...I didn't get as sick. I am due on memorial day weekend and we are having company :fr: I am just praying that I am not sick.........girl , you just reminded me to drink my waterrrrr especially then....Lewis, your doing super girl... Oh, the hummingbird feeder, yesssssssss the ants love that stuff. We have ours on the deck under the eave of the house (it juts out a bit and we put a hook under there) so that the ants wont get it. Is there anywhere else you can put it where they can't get to it? Or maybe one of those hook things in the ground but you will have to put stuff on it so they dont climb up because those buggers will! lol. I put mine out and the red flowers too to attract them. Oh I just loooooove blackberries! I used to love to pick them from when I was a little kid, we have a bush in the backyard! How so very nice! Gee girl, why don't you live closer! The stupid weeds are starting to grow fast here too from all the rain, I spent an hour getting them out. I can't wait to put my flowers in, I will be working outdoors this week if the weather is okay. I loveputtering outdoors, so much more fun that cleaning! lol. I have had my fill of that business! Here is to wishing you plenty of :sunny: Have a great day and keep up the great work :) posting, brb |
I weighed myself this morning and I've lost 2.4lbs! :woohoo: Now, let's see if AF won't mess with that! That's only 5.6 more to go for this month! :cb:

HI! HI! HI!
:carrot:Congratulations FSA!!!!!!!:carrot: 4lbs this past week is AWESOME!! I'm so glad we decided to do this again. Lewis~ Regarding my almost pizza slip-up, cheese is fine but the slice of pepperoni on top and the sauce under were not. :D In a couple of days I can make my own pizzas with no sugar added sauce (regular pizza sauce has sugar in it). My weigh in is on Friday so last week I lost 5lbs with 4 days last week being on South Beach and 3 days pre-SB. Cmof4~ Good job on the loss and getting that workout in today! :carrot: Hope your kids feel better. I have one at home sick today too. JD~ :carrot: You did get a loss, congrats!!! My TOM is right around the corner and I really hope that happens to me too when all said is said and done. Right now I just feel moody/cranky/tired/and want chocolate. :( Neesy~ WOW you are doing fantastic! Keep doing what you're doing! Delphi ~ thanks for the pat on the back, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a terrific day today! Supachix~ I am so sorry you guys are going thru this right now. I think it's wonderful you didn't console yourself with food. You will be in my prayers. Jacque~ I hope you are having a great day and that you are just too busy exercising and losing weight to post yet today. :D Newshiny~ .6lbs is making progress and is taking you where you need to be, good job! |
Wow...this thread is amazing and so wonderfully busy. We were without internet for a couple days, I get back on here and BAM...it went from ~12 pages to 23! Awesome. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow morning and will post weight then. Been OP so far, although over the weekend I allowed for a more lenient plan since I wasn't sure what all the Mother's Day festivities included food wise. It was good overall, but I'm glad to be getting back to the whole foods this week and not eat out as much. Exercise is going ok too...about to go post that in the other thread. So, POP so far today and getting in lots of fruits and veggies. It does feel really good to put good things in my body. Thanks for all your inspiration!
