Hi mcrunner, it's nice to have you back. Wow, you have some catching up to do! lol :) Good to see you and wtg on your OP day....ty as well for the inspiration. Let's keep it going.

I have to fly so I will post exercis later. Keep up the great work everyone.

fenderella5678 05-11-2009 02:59 PM

Good news! I'm back down to my original weight! I'm sooo ready to get going now. That's just what I needed to get me going again. :D

FSA
- I'm trying not to get too hung up on the numbers like you said. But I gotta admit it feels pretty good to see my pre-off plan weight on there again. :P But I know what you mean, I've had the scale influence my decisions, whether good or bad, too often. But at the very least I know now how my body works so I'm not dependent on the scale. Thanks for the kind words and advice! And congrats on the 4lb loss!

Wifey - Congrats on the loss! Not too much further to go now. :D

Newshinyme - Great job managing TOM. That's usually my temporary downfall. But awesome job! .6lbs is great too!

Crazymamaof4 - Thanks! I'm definitely getting back on track as fast as possible. I wanna see GOAL MET next to my name! And good luck with your boys! I have my 3 nephews living with me, and when one is sick, we're ALL sick. lol

Jacqui_D - Thanks for the well wishes and all the support! And congrats on your loss! You asked me quite a few threads ago (I'm trying to catch up, lol) how it feels to be 18 and if I got my license. I did! Yup, I'm finally a licensed driver. Funny though, I celebrate getting my license because I haven't gone to pick up my car yet. 18 feels pretty good, but pretty much the same. I wasn't expecting to transform into an adult when the clock ticked midnight. lol

Lewisempire - 7 miles?? That's crazy! :P I hope I can make that someday without passing out. lol Congrats!

Everyone else - Keep up the good work!

I'll read the rest of the posts and leave more personals later, I gotta go take my cat to the vet, he's getting neutered today! :X

Delphi 05-11-2009 03:31 PM

FSA ~ WOW! :congrat: on such an amazing drop. :cheer2: :cheer2: You are doing great and you're such a positive influence for me.

LE (lewisempire) ~ Do you mind if I use LE? ;) At any rate, thanks for the advice. :)

Newshinyme ~ Yeah, my bday isn't until July, he just sent it to me early to get me going on this new way of life...but thanks! Oh and :congrat: on the drop. :)

Wifey ~ :congrat: on the drop. :cheer2: You don't have that much to go..keep up the good work. :)

Lene ~ Hey no problem, that's what we are here for. You ladies deserve it. :)

mcrunner ~ :congrat: on the loss! Good job on getting in all your fruits and veggies, at times, that is quite hard for me, as I'm a very picky eater. ;)

fenderella ~ Hey good job getting back on plan! :cheer2:

Ms Perception 05-11-2009 03:48 PM

Oh my gosh! I finally read the posts from over the weekend....
Lewisempire--AWESOME JOB making it to onederland! Sorry this is SO belated!
Supachix--They do still give out a keychain. I was so happy to reach my mark, but was kinda bummed to not get a sticker for my bookmark. Then I thought, what am I, a 5 y/o? It kinda cracked me up!

I had a good weekend. I got down to 168.4, but Mother's Day pushed me back up a bit. I'll try to post my current weight tomorrow morning before "The Blackout". Everyone is doing so well, I'm jealous of those trying new programs and things since I'm mostly offline and can't do a lot of stuff. I may print off the C25K and add that on to my current activity. I need a goal in front of me to do my best with weight and activity. Well, have a great one ladies!

Delphi 05-11-2009 04:48 PM

@ msperception ~ Sounds like you are in need of a little change up in routine? Perhaps that C25k would be a great idea to start with..eh? I've been interested in it myself, if you do try it, let me know how you like it..puhleeze! :)

On another note, ladies I tried the My Fitness Coach for the Wii today and LOVED it. She kicked my butt, seriously and I love that it tells you exactly how many calories you burned. Everything is catered to you. The workout, the intensity, even specific moves and exercises. This one definitely gets a thumbs up by me. Think I'll try the Jillian Michaels one tomorrow and see how that goes. I'm keeping TOM at bay with my endurance today, lets hope it stays with me for the next three days. ;)

Newshinyme 05-11-2009 04:56 PM

Delphi: I heard that the JM's one is not so good. Let me know how you like it though. I had wondered about My Fitness Coach as well.
There is this other one by EA Sports coming out and I really want it to be good. I watched some of the videos and it looks like it is, but I am definitely waiting for the reviews to come out before buying it

Delphi 05-11-2009 05:11 PM

Newshinyme ~ Yeah, Wii games don't get a lot of the early reviews like you see with the other platforms. Gamespot is a great place to go for reviews or IGN is pretty good as well, but I'm keeping my eye on that one, now that I am a Wii owner as well. I have a few friends in the industry so I'll ask around about it. ;)

Yeah, I read some of the reviews about the Jillian one, and it got really low scores across the board, even user reviews have been pretty bad, but I'll try it none the less. To me it's all about variety and confusing my body as much as possible. ;) I'll let you know how it goes, but yes, My Fitness Coach was great, I'd definitely recommend it.

Oh my word! There is so much good news and excitement here! Everyone is so chatty I thought I might miss page 24 with the list because of all the posts, lol! It's great!! I can't write personals right now because I'm off to the Y, but know that I am so proud of you ladies!! Be back after a while to write more!! Hopefully, I won't miss page 25, lol!

Lewisempire 05-11-2009 09:40 PM

Heavens to Betsy!!!! We are a chatty bunch!!! HAHA I hope I don't leave anyone out! You gals are just the best!!!!

Delphi- LE is fine with me! How did your measuring tape hunt go? I am glad you are enjoying your WII!!! I want one so bad!!!!

Msperception- Thanks for the congrats! Because of TOM, you will have another chance to congratulate me. I didn't quite get that door locked this week like I wanted, but I am still trying. I might check out the C25K, because everyone is chatting about it. I just am not a runner....HMMM? Let us know what you decide!

Fenderella!
- Congratulations on being back to where you were! I know you must be feeling better about that! Keep it up girlie!!!! You can do it!
Are you getting a new car? You said you haven't picked it up....tell us about your ride! We want details!

Fullsteamahead- Thanks for the Ice coffee! LOL you are so cute!:D I miss Cake too! I thought I saw in her siggie that she had a couple of 5ks planned. I couldn't help the 7 miles, the mornings have been rainy, so I get on my ski machine. Then It gets so pretty outside in the afternoon, I feel guilty if I don't take the pooch out. It feels pretty good I will admit! I love those high mile days!
As for the hummers, I have it on my back deck, on one of those shepard hooks (my DH zip-tied it to the deck, because it is about 10ft off the ground) And those pesky ants still found it. But Hosed off the deck and ants, and put out fresh nectar, so I am hopefull.
I am hoping my berries will wait a little longer to ripen, the mulberries were turning pink today, I don't want to miss them while I am on the cruise! We make home-made jam out of a mixture of the berries, OMG it is soooo good. Definately not SBD, we also freeze a bunch, and eat them frozen! MMMMM That might be SBD???? I am salivating!!!! I love those berries!
Ahhh- I am blabbing on and on, and just reminded myself 4pounds- you ROCKED IT!! That is Awesome, and I bet you feel fantastic!
I am gonna take a hint from you and post this before I lose it! BRB

So I am heading to bed kinda early, I guess I won't miss much because the site will be down:fr: I sure hope they get it back up quick!!! You girls, stay true to yourselves, and keep your goals in sight!

FullSteamAhead 05-11-2009 10:18 PM

Hi ladiessssssssssss, :) coming in to check on the news and say a quick hello as I am rather sleepy tonight and go ing to crash early. I hope you all had a terrific day and I want to thank you all for the congratulations and kind words, thanks a bunch girls

Fenderella, congratulationsssss on getting back to the original weight :carrot::carrot: That's super :) Hope your kitty is feeling fine tonight, they do bounce back rather quickly. Fenderella, thanks for the congrats too : ). HOp eyou sleep well tonight and start a great new day tommorow.

Delphiii, aw you, thanks a bunch and  right back at you. That's awesome about the wii and fitness coach. Delphi, I needed to shake up my routine too a bit....the wii (free step and even the step) I incorporate my own arm exercises and have taken up the intensity....as for the walking, I have been doing it for quite some time now but am going to have to either or pick up the pace more or walk longer just to keep things changed around. Maybe I'll try some of the comcast exercise on demand again for more of a shakeup. Let us know how you like the Jillian Michaels, wtg on the workouts Delphi :) That a girl doing all that and not letting TOM get the best of you. I feel sooooo happy when I can work out with it because sometimes I just cant. You were smart to start in the morning the other day too while you still felt okay. Have a great night :) keep up the awesome work.

MsPerception, goodluck with the WI tomorrow. Hope you had a great mothers day :) and wtg on the 9 out of 11 workouts. I intended for a quick post here as I'm tired but you know me :blah::blah::blah: lol

Newshinyme, I heard the same thing about the Jillian michaels thing too but one of the girls loved it. I am real curious about that too! I want to get one sometime. Delphi, I know you have DDR, let us know which you like better and good for you for trying different things! :) Hope your both having a great night : ).

Jacqui, lollllll. I sometimes need to open the link at the bottom to see more than 15 replies. Hope you had a great workout at the Y.

Lewisempireeeeee, your so very welcome! lol :) OMG, that's what I was thinking about.......those shepherd h ook thingies, I love t hose! Maybe some juice spilled on the deck and they found it. SOmetimes when I put mine up the juice spills and if have to hose it down. We put mine on the deck in front of the kitchen window so i can catch them (they are quick feeder but feed often) Lewissssssssssssss, they are freaking here! I saw it today...a female! Dh and I think we saw 2, another one flew by. They are very territorial and will often monopolize a feeder (I had 4 or 5 last year) and they say to put another feeder on the other side of house. I don't do that, one is good for me fo rnow anyways. I want to see them. Oh I so can't wait until you get them. Put something red near the feeder too so they find it. I don't have that black rasberry bush now (that was a typo, meant to say "had"). Yummy at the jam you make. That is cool. Nope, no fruit on the first 2 weeks of the diet though I have heard that some of the girls modify it to fit in fruit. I bet your lettuce is yummy too! Thanks for the congrats girl  A hug from the "wild" thing  I stopped in over there to post and do my minutes. Just saw your final post, rest up my girl and hope your day goes well. It must be hard sometimes but do know that you really make a difference... :) sleep tight

well chickies, I intended on a quick post but just love writing to you all and my fingers just kind of take over. No carpal tunnel syndrome yet, lol :) Goodnight and keep up with the awesome work girls. Onto a new day tomorrow, let's keep on truckin ' night :)

FullSteamAhead 05-11-2009 10:31 PM

Just remembered something. Supachicks, when you go to the main forum page, click on forum announcements and help. You will find a thread there posted by suzanne3fc, one of the sight owners. The topic is regarding the forum locking up for some people. Good luck and hope your issue is resolved. I will look into it further as wellwhen I get the chance.

Jacqui_D 05-12-2009 01:41 AM

Well ladies, I had planned to pull off a "mini" mini-goal for just this week in which I shifted most of my calories of the day to breakfast and lunch and ate only the equivalent of a snack for dinner, but I blew it today--I forgot to eat lunch!! I didn't remember that I hadn't eaten until 5 pm! Usually I only forget until 3 pm. I was just so busy today, I didn't think of it. It wasn't until my DH got home and asked if I wanted to go out to eat that I started to say no and then remembered I hadn't eaten anything since 8 am! So much for that "mini" mini-goal! I didn't like it anyway. I don't think it's a good balance. It left me feeling hungry late at night, and when I eat my usual three meals and 3 snacks (when I remember to, that is, lol), I'm never hungry. So, oh well! It's not worth picking back up and trying again, so I'm going back to what I know works and is healthy!

And yes, the 3FC site is closing down Tuesday temporarily from around noon to either Tuesday night or Wednesday morning! So if you want to get a post in, do it early!

FSA, :carrot: :yay::broc::sunny::congrat: on your 4 lbs!! :bravo: Great job!!! :cp: I'm so excited for you!! :dancer:

Ms_P, congrats on the weight loss! And hopefully, it will be low when you weigh again in the a.m.! :crossed: The C25K sounds like a great activity to get you focused on activity!

Fenderella, congrats on getting your license!! Woohoo!! :woohoo: No, 18 isn't a magic number like some teens envision, but still, to get your license is a big deal!! :carrot:

CMof4, congrats on your weight loss! 6 total lbs down, yay! :yay: I hope your boys get to feeling better!

Delphi and Lene, thanks! That's the great thing about TOM--when TOM departs, some weight usually goes too! :cp:

Lewis, that's right! The cruise! It's getting close! You are going to have SO much fun!! :beach:

NSM, I've been reading a lot about people who have Internet Explorer having trouble with the site recently and I don't know if the temporary closing has anything to do with that or not, but it seems logical! :comp:

Wifey, :congrat: on the 2.4 lbs down!!! :carrot::cp::hat::dancer: That is excellent! Isn't it always a surprise to step on the scale and see that you've skipped a whole lb?! Woohoo! :yay:

MC, great job on staying OP :cp: and good luck on the weigh in! :)

Delphi 05-12-2009 05:20 AM

Good Morning Ladies!! Day three with TOM and urgg, is about all I can say. Thankfully, I was so sore from playing with my Wii (no matter how many times I say that, it still doesn't sound quite right  ), that I didn't even noticed the associated cramps with TOM! ;) I'll pop back in...in an a few to get my personals in, I wanna try to get on a little early this morning and maybe squeeze five or ten more minutes on the treadmill. I'm really gonna miss this site today when it's down. :( You ladies have a great day and remember to smile. :) :) :)

LE ~ That's a no go on the tape measure. I looked everywhere, and nothing. I'll just have to pick me one up sometime this weekend when I get out of this house. ;)

JD ~ Hey no sweat on the mini mini goal. What ever you are doing, it is working! Kind of interested in why the shift though. I am going to do calorie shifting but I was going to do entire days as opposed to meals, so, I guess I'm just curious. :)

FSA ~Thanks! It's definitely been hard dealing with TOM and feeling blah. I guess that's why I have the advantage in the morning. That's usually, the point where I have plenty of energy, gravity is on my side and I generally feel good.

@everyone else ~ Keep up the good work! You guys are doing so well!
