Boot Camp was good. It was very cold but we quickly warmed up and the layers started to come off. I am sore today. I talked to my daughter last night and asked her how she was feeling...she said, "I can't walk!!" I know I am hurting alot so she must REALLY be sore. Anyway...it was pretty much constant movement. We did a lot of walking/jogging/running between sets. Lots of lunges, squats, abs. One girl who had been at previous BCs kept saying that some of the exercises were not "first day" exercises. I thought, oh no, what else does this women have in store for us? It's gotta just get harder. The women teaching it wasn't as much of a "drill sergeant" as I thought she would be but maybe she was just being nice for the first day!!! Tomorrow is day two....will be in touch....J

Hi Ladies I can't stick around right now, because I still have to get to the gym. My morning was messed up by my computer going out and my having to work with tech people all morning to get it going again! I just wanted to come on and make sure to move the lists in the two threads if they needed to be moved. I'll be back later to do personals! But I have to say, Lewis, your hair is darling, darling darling!!!!! Be back after a bit!

I hate when my puter doesn't work...although if people at work didn't have computer problems, then I would't have a job!!!! Good thing mine rarely has problems, and if it does, I can fix it right away. Technology is GREAT!!!

Jacqui_D 05-20-2009 03:39 PM

Yay!! I lost 1 lb this morning!!! Woohoo!! :dancer: Lewis, you called that, lol! And Delphi, you are so right that patience is key!

Joci, I love tech support people!! They're geniuses! They always get my computer going again! Mine is a difficult problem too. They aren't sure what's causing it. It's happened a number of times, but the tech support people are always so nice and they will stay with me for as long as it takes to get it up and running again. Today, it only took a couple of hours! Last time it took about 6 hours off and on! The guy today made a suggestion that I buy a new modem/router. Right now I have a separate modem and router and it seems they are both faulty, which is why it's always so difficult to resolve! And yes, technology is great...when it's working! Lol! :D

Delphi, oh my, you get up at 4 am everyday??? I knew it was early, but wow!! :faint:

Lewis, your haircut is fabulous! The middle picture that shows the back looks like it could advertise that cut! The angle is so cute and stylish and the highlights are so pretty! They are going to be so blonde by the time you get back!! You'll look all sunkissed! What a perfect style for your cruise!! :)

And Joci, good luck on your haircut!! I hope you love it!

Hattie, I am so sorry to hear about your cars being broken into and your daughter's laptop stolen! That would infuriate me too! And I am very sorry about your MIL's condition. That has to be hard on your DH and you. I wish you the best. On a better note, I am so happy that you do not have to have surgery!! I'm sure that is such a relief! And WTG on the 66 lb loss and 9-month milestone!! :yay: :yay: :yay: Good for you!!

lene1974 05-20-2009 03:57 PM

Hattie~ I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL. I have a family member who suffers from dementia and it's absolutely heartbreaking. Your family we will be in my prayers.
I hope they catch the rotten thieves who broke into your cars. It makes me so angry to hear about people who feel they have the right to take what others have worked hard for. I hope things get better for you soon and great job staying on plan and delivering that 66lb baby of yours. :D

Lewis~ I love the new hairdo. It looks cute and summery. I bet you are just counting the minutes 'till your departure.

Delphi~ You're doing great sista! I can't believe you burned so many calories yesterday. Go You!

JD~ glad the computer is up and running, I hope you had a good workout today.

Jacque~ Glad you got your behind kicked yesterday! :D I need to find a boot camp this summer.

Everyone else~I hope you are having a great day!

About me~I have been so hungry today and nothing that I'm eating is helping. I haven't eaten off plan and everything I have had has been legal, but I still feel like eating more. (but I won't cheat) I'm hoping TOM is around the corner and maybe that's the reason behind it.

Bye for now.

Ms Perception 05-20-2009 04:01 PM

Hey ladies! Thanks for all the encouragement! I was decent with the pizza last night and just in case it wanted to mess with my weight, I walked for 3 miles afterward with my MIL. It's the first time we've walked together and it wasn't too bad. Now, I have a banquet tonight with chicken and ribs...seriously, my husband must not get that this is not ideal for me. He is a HS principal and we get to go to all these year-end functions which NEVER have a healthy menu. If I make it through this next week I should home free!!! I've stored some of the Will Power Dust to get me through. I'm motivated to keep it in check though since I have my WW meeting tomorrow night and I want to hit another 5# mark with them.

Love the hair pics, Lewisempire...you look terrific! I will post some new ones as soon as I am back online at home.

Hattie--Sorry to hear about your car and your daughter's. But I also wanted to say, I've noticed the good steady progress you've been making with your weight loss. I remember back when you were so frustrated being stuck at 205, and look at you now!!

Take care everyone!

urockmom 05-20-2009 05:33 PM

Hi Ladies!

I am sorry that I have been quiet this week. I have literally spent everyday running from one place to another in the car. I am soooo sick of being in the car I can't even stand it!!!! :tantrum:

I read everyone's posts to catch up.

:bravo: on all the losses!!!!

Hattie~ Sorry to hear about your MIL and the rest. You are doing great though and you are in our thoughts & prayers.

Ms. P~ Good job to work off that :jeno:! Good luck with all of the end-of-year nasty food. Why can't caterers cook healthy food that doesn't look like it was warmed up three days ago? Seriously, some of those steamed veggies are like noodles.

Lewis~ Tres fashionable!!! I hope you have a great time on the cruise but you are being really, really brave going with all those youngsters.

Lene~ Sorry you are having a :hungry: day! I am sure that it is TOM and will move along. You're doing great staying OP when you have the munchies.

Delphi~Terrific job on those calories! Oh, and congrats on the new ticker. :carrot: You can think of me at 4am. I'll be sleeping. ;)

Have to get back in the blasted car again now to pick up DD from swim practice. Despite being trapped in the car-or maybe because of it-I have been doing well this week and have almost gotten to my first goal of the month. I ran a 5K-it was a beautiful morning-in 29.22 so I was really happy about that. I am going to play some tennis on Friday so I mix it up a bit.

:grouphug: to all! Keep on truckin' girls! :carrot:

SupaChix 05-20-2009 09:27 PM

Thank you for pointing that out- that I have met a goal. I hadn't really even thought about that. But I did state I wanted to get my butt out of this chair- lol and I have definatly accomplished that. The family took a picnic to the park last night and then walked a little ways on the trail. It's finally warm (and dry) enough here to do something like that. I didn't walk tonight, kept meaning to, just had a bad evening and didnt get around to it. Though now all is lost because we have a nice piece of property and I think that I will just walk around the perimeter tonight instead of down the road. The whole thing is to keep moving for 20 minutes, right!?

Supachix, you've been doing wonderfully! :dancer: Jodi, I think it's safe to say that you are full into exercise with no fear of stopping, especially now that you are exercising on your own and are following the C25K, so I have put MET GOAL!! next to your exercise goal in the sister thread!! :yay: Congrats!! :cp: If you want to set a new exercise goal, just let me know and I'll add it to the list!

SupaChix 05-20-2009 09:30 PM

Hello urockmom I just wanted to say that I am impressed with you running a 5k. I hope to be able to do that myself- walk- run it doesn't really matter to me, I just want to be able to DO IT! So even though I don't know your story, I am impressed. You go! :carrot:

Thank you everyone! I love my new hair-do! It is amazing how it can just boost your self- esteem! I got in a modest 1.2 miles of walking today. I was on plan, and hope I can continue through on the cruise. I am afraid I don't have enough time for personals tonight, because I have to finish packing. Any advice from previous cruisers would be more than welcome. I will check in later.......
Fullsteamahead.....I hope you are ok, it is not like you not to post.....take care of yourself!

JasonsLea 05-21-2009 02:09 AM

 girls!

I have news. Apparantly, I'm going to be an aunt. :^: My BFF called me today and gave me the news. It hasn't really hit me in the face yet, but when it does, WATCH OUT! All you are going to read is baby this, baby that! When they say it comes in threes, it does. First there was Eny, then my friend Adriana, now Nikki. Then Sushine called and asked me to be one of her bridesmaid. This puts more pressure on me because the other two girls are way smaller than me and Sunshine says she wants our dress to be sexy and eye-catching.

I did Day 1 of both the pushup and squat challenges yesterday and my thighs still hurt!

WI tomorrow! :crossed:

For some reason, I've been baking muffins for three days straight. No worries, I've taken all of them to work, only had 1 (or 1/2 of 1) from each batch. :carrot:

Vanessa and Tony should be home tomorrow (I think) so the strippers have to go.

Congrats to all our losers! :carrot:

 Hattie.

Love the new do, Lewis!

"Living a healthy lifestyle will only deprive you of poor health, lethargy, and fat."
~Jill Johnson~

Good morning ladies!!!

Well ladies I am a bit burned up this morning and have this really attractive white circle around my upper left arm, from wearing this darn band out in the sun yesterday....and I thought tan lines were bad, this is simply awful. We had a good day, in which we spent almost all day outside, which translates to burning lots of calories and being a little too hot to eat. Anyone else get like that? I still made sure I ate my five meals, stayed on plan, but didn't get enough calories in yesterday. I put a lot of food into my body, but it really doesn't amount to many calories. I weighed this morning and I'm back where I should be so I should be down another pound come my weigh in Sunday, which I'm quite pleased about. :carrot::carrot:

So our thread has almost hit 500 posts...Jacqui does that mean we have to start another one right here at the end of the month? Oh and :congrat: on saying goodbye to yet another pound.:bravo:

We miss you FSA, hope you are resting and will be well and back soon! :) Oh and :congrat: jasonslea on the news, I would be excited to. I know how you feel urockmom. Some times I feel like my boys and their activities keep me on the road entirely too much, but thank goodness for summer break, things have calmed down, which I hope they will do for you as well. You're doing such a fantastic job. Lene, you hang in there girlfriend, it will get better. Perhaps it is TOM lurking around the corner, so no worries. Fight the power!! Whoa, Ms P, way to counteract that pizza. You show em'. ;) Finally, Jacque, I wanna go to bootcamp with you...it sounds great, hard, but great. :)

That's it for me, gals! Gonna try the treadmill but my legs are so sore, not sure what kind of a work out I'll get in this morning. So you ladies, take it easy, enjoy your days and don't forget those beautiful smiles. :) :) :)

P.S. Still no signature yet! :(

You can come to boot camp. She wants more people....5:30am at the park. Can you make it?;););)

It was great this morning....there was only 6 of us. After a few laps around the court, she set up 6 stations:
  • Basket Ball throw
  • Bicep curls
  • Bent over rows
  • Burpees (I decided I hate those)
  • Tricep dips on bench
  • Mountain climbers

We did each about 1-2 minutes and then switched stations. After one circuit, we then got partners and did side steps tossing the ball and then did another partner exercise where we tossed the ball and then jumped and turned around.

After a few minutes we went back to the circuit and did it again. Then did the partner stuff again. THEN we did the circuit again in reverse.

After that we did the 2 partner exercises and then another one where where we stood on one leg and kept tossing the ball back and forth. The goal was to make our partner drop the other leg. When one person dropped the leg, we switched legs.

And finally, the cool down/stretching. It was a non stop hour...the layers came off. Started out cold but warmed up where I almost was just in my sports bra and shorts.

What's up with your signature??? I was soooooo happy when I got my tracker...now if the instant email notification would work again, I would be REALLY HAPPY!!!

Delphi 05-21-2009 08:08 AM

Jacque ~ I bet you are burning a boat load of calories during those sessions. Wow! I think I'm gonna see if perhaps there is something like that around here then coax LE into coming with me. ;)

Not sure about the signature. I joined early morning on the 1st and it still has yet to show up in my user panel. I was soooooo excited, waiting on the 20th and nothing. :(

Regarding email notifications, I always get them late and then I noticed at the bottom it says if you don't visit the board after receiving it, that you "may" not receive any more until you visit the thread. But I visit them and still no notification some times.
