Hey everyone!

I'm excited for the next mini challenge...

#1 - CW: 227 goal for Thanksgiving Day: 225
#2 - Water: I drink it all day long so I'm good there.
#3 - I don't have a food plan. I'm just cutting down on portions, snacking, and junk food.
#4 - Exercise goals: I've finished the 1st. week of C25K and I want to complete the whole program. My goal is to run 3 miles with my teenage neighbor who is on her HS Cross Country team.
#5 - I am NOT going to - give up and eat & eat & eat, get lazy and not work out, and get discouraged if I don't lose 2 lbs by Thanksgiving.

to all on this next challenge!

#3 Food: Stay at 1200 net cals a day
#4 Exercise - 30 mins a day minimum! I'd like to continue my wogging plan that I started! I set a goal of 50 miles by the end of November - which means I need to ge tmy butt moving!

Ok - I'm off to figure out week #2 stats... I'll be back!

#1. 165.5 today! (OMG! I have one of those WW scales where you can set a goal, that was the goal I picked. OMG! But I'm not done yet, oh no.) Ummm, I don't know, the low 160's I suppose. I'm always vague about goals, taking it a few pounds at a time lately. I'll settle on 161.

#2. Water is no problem for me. I consume over 64 ounces a day easily, probably closer to 90.

#3. I count calories and eat super clean with an emphasis on lean protein, healthy fats and a ton of veggies.

#4. Exercise: Work with my trainer, work on my own, work the gym hard - minimum 45 minutes per day. Weights, cycling, elliptical, boxing.

#5. I am not going to settle or become lazy because I've reached my first goal. I can see I still have 10-15 pounds to go and I AM going to get there!

Good Morning Everyone! Today is my weighin day and I gained since last week. I'm not sure why, cause I started to exercise more and eat healthier then the other weeks. Yesterday I even started to drink more water. So I am kinda disapointed in myself. Could I gain weight the next day after starting to drink more water?!?! So today instead of eating something bad cause I feel bad, I'm still trying to eat my fruit and veggies.
I am 327/500 miles to the party. I am hoping to be at the party by next week at this time. I can't wait to join everyone!!
Have a great day everyone!

Mini Challenge # 3

1. Weight right now is 192. I hope to be at 189 by the end of the challenge - a tiny bit higher than my original goal, but I'd still be thrilled to be out of the 190s

2. I will have a minimum of 64 oz each day, which is my usual, so it shouldn’t be too hard.

3. I’m counting calories, trying to stay at 1200 calories worth of good food.

4. I want to exercise 5 out of 7 days minimum. I’ve been doing 30DS and/or riding my bike.

5. I will not go easy on my workouts! Sometimes I know that although I’m putting in miles/time, I’m not working hard enough to really benefit from the workout.

Congrats to LAYLA316, jeannep, fauxtini, gatorgirl6, Hattie, tmil, FB, & to everyone else who has lost or is still trying! great job!

Good morning all!

to everyone on the weight lose! JeanneP - AWESOME! You're really working your butt off!
FB - Wow! Great job on reaching your goal. Keep up the unbelievable work for your next goal. You're doing an amazing job
Scarahjs - Maybe the little bit of weight gain in from working out more you're gaining muscle. They do say muscle weighs more than fat. So keep up the food choices, working out, and drinking water & that weight will probably just melt off.

As for myself, I'm feeling great this morning. I've noticed that when I work out the night before I have a pep in my step the next day. I like this natural high

HAPPY FRIDAY! Everyone behave yourself this weekend
PS - I know I'm taking my time getting to the plantation... I'll be there by Thanksgiving... okay X-Mas at the latest... J/K!

Hi everyone

Just checking in..

I am eating OP and visiting "John" a lot with all the H2O that I am drinking! At least it makes me move a lot. At work the "John" is so far away that I am getting a lot of steps in. I use a pedometer and I went over 6000 steps just at work.

I just have to say that I love my treadmill! Whoever has an Elliptical...do you like it? I am thinking of getting one. Also... What kind of scale is accurate and one that you would recommend?

Good Morning!

Last night I got so busy working on my X-Mas cards (yes, already getting those ready) that I didn't work out. Before I knew it it was midnight... and I was only half way through my list. Tonight I plan on getting back OP and get myself closer to the plantation.

Everyone have a great day!

Hattie - I LOVELOVE the elliptical thingy! What I use, I'm told is actually a Crossramp and an arc trainer, I just call them ellipticals becuase they all seem the same to me. They are big monsters, be it an elliptical or a hybrid elliptical, if you have the room it may be a wonderful addition to your home gym. Arc trainers save a little space and I prefer the range of motion they use. If I had to describe them I'd guess they're a cross between a stair stepper and an elliptical (both the crossramp and arc).

I've tried some out at stores - beware of the cheap ones, they aren't very effective or comfortable to use. The decent ones I've tried run in the $600-$1000 range. A gym membership, if a possibility, may be more cost effective.

Scales? I have two, both inexpensive. A Taylor digital with a lifetime battery (but when it gets too cold I get an error message. Annoying. My house is 150 years old and is always cold) and a lilac WW digital scale. Both were under $30.00 at Walmart and both show the same readings when I've checked.

Yay! Reached the second mini challenge of 5# today.
