Didn't do the WiiFit yet....BAD girl!!! LOL Maybe today. But I was just so struck that I had to post...

CONGRATS ON 31 YEARS CHIPPER AND MR. CHIPPER!!!!!

How awesome! Any secrets to long and happy marriage? Too many younger couples give up too easily. We've made it almost 11 years and it has been a struggle, but we're basically happy.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

No "bad girl." You'll get it in when you can. ;) I believe that!

I got mine in EARLY this morning and I guess it's a good thing that I did! We had an earthquake today and I'm pleased to have already accomplished my Wii Fit so I can deal with everyone calling to be sure we're okay. LOL (We are.)

Yay!

Still obsessed with my Wii Fit. Boxing, step class, soccer... those are my favorites, for sure!

Keep at it, everyone! Woo!

Got my hour in early today--moved up to the "expert" rhythmic boxing, which was AWESOME. Loads of fun, loads of sweat. I loved it!!!

Going out with friends tonight, so I'm probably going to hop on one more time before heading out, just to burn a bit of the calories I'll drink in cocktails tonight. ;)

Hope everyone is having a good time! :D

Awesome!

I got my hour in today and have noticed that for the past few days, I've been going back and putting in another 20 to 30 minutes "just for fun" later in the day.

Like you, "don't know why... just felt like it," and I can't complain, as that's better than feeling like sitting on the sofa!! :carrot: :D

Just posted a NSV regarding measurements--which have really improved in my 16 or so days of Wii Fit work--at my blog and in the mini-goal sub-forum.

Hope everyone is seeing good results and, most of all, HAVING FUN!

See y'all tomorrow!

Ohhh you're so LUCKY! I'm lucky if I can get 30 mins in between helping babysitting my twin's kids (which I'm noe told will be MY job once the new baby comes in early August!), my part-time sucky job, and my mom's serious tv addiction... GRRR! I have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get on my Wii Fit. About 5:30 a.m. sometimes 6 a.m. if I'm sleepy that day. That's when I wake up. THEN I get dressed, and THEn I can exercise for half an hour. then the kids come most days. Or my mom wakes up and turns must have the tv. AGHHH!

after much waiting and anticipation, i finally was able to score a wii fit! i love the wii sports bowling, and it's good for the whole family, so i figured i give it a try. i'm so excited!

so, my first 10 minutes of wii fit in... i love it! it's super fun, but i'm a little winded, especially after the run. :carrot:

Hello!

I got a wiifit and was loving it until about a week ago when I twisted my ankle. It seems to be better now, so I'm back on the board tomorrow! I'm doing the couch 2 5k (jogging program) as well, so I'll modify my wiifit challenge to be an hour on the days that I don't jog.

Btw, my favorite wiifit "games" are the soccer balance game, step and hula-hoop. But for some reason I seem to fail at rhythm- I cannot for the life of me get above 2 stars in step =(

Oh, no! Do you have another TV you could put the Wii Fit on, so at least you could get your hour in when your mom is monopolizing the TV?

Also, try the free run and free step--they let you start the exercise with the Wii and then you put the TV on whatever channel you want and keep exercising along with whatever show is on--just hit the right amount of steps or time, based on settings you chose. That way, you could get some of your exercises in even while others are in "control" of the TV.

Just a couple of thoughts of ways you might be able to sneak in a bit more time. ;) Hope it helps!!

Yay! So glad you got yours! I love the bowling too, although I have to say I've been so into Wii Fit itself that it's been a week or more since I've done bowling, tennis, golf, or billiards. I'm just having too much fun WORKING OUT (never thought I'd say such a thing)!!! :D

Crazy! So much fun!

So sorry you got hurt!!! Glad you're on the mend and able to get back at it! I would be terribly antsy if I couldn't get my hour in every day. I LOVE my Wii Fit! :carrot:

Congrats on doing the Couch to 5K. Looks so interesting!

Keep at it! You'll find the "right" rhythm eventually. Also try boxing. It causes you to use the "step" principles in different directions. And perhaps that would help you find your rhythm for step class next time. Worth a shot? ;)

Hula hoop is so much fun! Heck, all of it is!!!! I'm just so excited by how many new things, new reps, new challenges get added in... keeping me motivated even after three straight weeks of daily workouts.

By now at the gym, I'd be totally burned out and finding excuses not to go back tonight. Instead, I'm looking forward to my next Wii Fit break from work!!

Yay!

Congrats, everyone, on keeping it going! :carrot:

I wish I could try boxing =( the wii came as a package deal- with the boyfriend- and he lost his nunchuck controller. Don't you have to have that one? I may get it in a couple weeks though, summer is broke time for me. I'm a T.A. at a university, so I only get paid during the school year.

But! I got my couch 2 5k done for today, and the ankle seems better, so I am really looking forward to wiifit tomorrow!

I finally got one!!!
I bought mine on Saturday - and though I've not yet unlocked much, I'm loving it! Especially the ski jump and all the yoga moves. I'm going to try to at least get in 20 minutes a day on this in addition to my normal workouts

Ah, bummer about the nunchuck! (LOL about the boyfriend package deal! Hilarious!)

Absolutely necessary for the boxing (and you have to use it in the left hand. The first time I did it, I had it in the right hand and was scored as a LOSER! Boo!) but definitely check eBay to see if you can find a used one cheaper than whatever it might cost new and in a store. Worth a shot!!

Glad your ankle is feeling better and YAY for the Couch to 5K for the day! Yay!

Good for you getting on it and at it! :D You will LOVE unlocking more and more fun stuff. ;)

Yay! Good challenge group!

Just got 30 minutes in today, but that's better than none! The insulation in my apartment is crap, so in the late evenings it gets up to 85 and higher in here, even w the AC at full blast. May not sound like much but it was too hot for me to want to keep going.

My battle w step continues, I just can't seem to get the rhythm. Course, it didn't help that my dog was sitting directly to the left of me,, so that anytime I had to step to that side I had to leap over him. He's trying to sabotage me!

Love That Wii!

Wow...took me FOREVER to figure out how to get back here. Then checked my previous threads...:)...Anyway I have soooo kept up:carrot: Usually an hour a day...unless the Adult kids...beat me to it! Nothing like competing with the "redos" in my house! (that's what I call my kids since they've moved back home):)! I LOVE it all. I'm going back right now to see if I haven't noticed the boxing...can't wait to try it! Maybe I haven't stair stepped enough!:dizzy:
