 Hi, Cass, come join our merry little group. I need all the help I can get! There are so many places to start and quite a few free online places that help with planning too. There are about too many to choose from. and Hi to you too lalique!
I have been busy running amok getting Emily off to camp, so this is my 1st chance to catch up this weekend. Actually it's double duty, since I need to also get everyone packed up to leave for Chicago Wednesday evening. Now I just need to get me ready. I'm on call Monday evening, and that should mess things up royally. :hug:everyone have a good weekend? Hope it was. I have a doctors appt tomorrow morning, so that will be my weigh in. I don't think it will be a good one. Melissa, I got to thinking about what you said and went to crunch some numbers. On the metabolic tester that the dietician has, my maintenance is 2000 cal. 1500 calories makes me starve, and usually doesn't get me enough of my carbs for my diabetic diet, so I try to stay around 1700 cal. I have been doing the 50 mile walking challenge, and average about 2 miles a day, plus 1 hour dance class a week. And I tend to do the "gain 2lbs, lose 3lbs, gain 4, lose 1 or 2" so that is why I am lucky if I can lose 3 lbs a month instead of a week. I would so love to do that! If the scale is right, I am probably at the gain end this week since I lost last week. I hope the dietician has some new ideas next week, because I am about to get frustrated again.:p I'm not doing a very good juggling act, but I'm not sure what is unbalanced. Talk to you in the morning all. Kathy;) |
Hello!!!!
Hi everyone! Wonderful ladies, I am doing well. Job change for me, so last 10 days have been emotionally exhausting. I am not giving up on the Christmas challenge - No way! Friday was a perfect example of my Commitment to Christmas! I had a work meeting from 9:00 - 10:00, worked out from 10:10 - 11:00, ran home showered and dressed for an interview at 12:00, at the doctors office at 1:30, back at work from 2:30 - 8:00. Whew!!! Iknew working out could have easily been "skipped" but my life is always going to be busy, so I better figure out a way to make it work.
I have lost 3 pounds, which is great, but I have been very sloppy journaling, and taking time to check in with you. Thank you so much for caring. That really does mean so very much to me. |
Hello All - I hope everyone had a great weekend!
Well, I had too good of a weekend. Today was my weigh day and I gained 1/2a pound! However, I am not too disappointed because this was our camping weekend and I ate like a cow the whole time! After a few to many adult beverages my will power went ka-put! Anyway, I am not going to be sad! I am just going to be super motivated this week to make up lost ground! Talk to you later... -Amanda |
Wow, 36, that's busy, busy. I was just tired reading it. I can't imagine living it.
I had a really neat experience yesterday. I've been looking for hiking boots, and will eventually invest in a higher end pair (like when I have some actual disposable income), but decided to hit the Timberland store here to see if I could find anything that would help me now. I hate using my running shoes for hiking, but it's the only shoes I can wear comfortably for long periods of time. I feel so self-conscious most of the time when I'm talking about exercise, maybe that people look at me and think, "Who are you kidding, you don't exercise!" I spent about a half hour with a guy yesterday, trying on shoes and telling him exactly what I was looking for. It turns out he hikes in Louisiana, and turned me onto an area that I'm looking forward to exploring when the weather is cooler and I have more free time. It was a really nice half hour. I wasn't self-conscious at all, and he seemed interested in the trail I usually hit. It wasn't until I was out of the store that I realized I wasn't self-conscious, and I ended up walking in my usual walking place (flat) for about half an hour to work towards breaking in the boots. I'm so very shy that this is a big deal for me, and it was strange, not being aware of my size but just talking about stuff that interested me and going in and getting exactly what I wanted. I could get used to that! I'm down a little over a pound this week, and I'm moving toward that life I want, little bit by little bit. My gym is closed on the weekends, and I actually found myself missing it, just a little. Oh, what a change. Edited so I can go back and track my progress through this thread: 1.2 lost this week, down to 312.0, 13 lbs to go for Christmas goal. Started at 326, I think. |
Good morning girls!
36 - Great job fitting exercise into your busy life! Earth - WAY TO GO on not being selfconsious! That is a HUGE step! As for me - the weekend was a complete bust! Joe and I fought all Friday night and almost all of Saturday. It sucked! We're doing better now, and talked Saturday night about things and didn't go to bed until 6AM!!! Which screwed up the eating schedule and the sleep schedule. Hunter is gone until Thursday - and she's having a really hard time away from mommy. :( She's called everynight - which isn't like her at all. I think I'm going to drive out and see her tomorrow after I get out of work. I miss the heck out of her too! I didn't get any exercise in this weekend, and it wasn't because I was too busy - I was L-A-Z-Y!!! I have to stop that! I HAVE to lose this weight for Christmas! I WANT TO WIN THE FAMILY CHALLENGE! The extra $150 would be AWESOME! I have to keep the goal in mind.. and When I hit my goal of "overwieght" at christmas I will DEFINATELY need new clothes! I have NO idea what size I'll be when I'm in the #160s - but I know it'll be smaller then the 16s I'm in now!!! I HAVE to hit it!!! There is 23 weeks left until Christmas - and I have #25.2 to lose. That means I'm still aiming for a #1.1 - #1.2 loss EVERY WEEK! I can't Back slide! I CAN NOT EVER BE #190 AGAIN!!!! |
I did my wi this morning and I am 2 lbs closer to my Christmas goal. :carrot:  Now, I'll need to stick close to this thread for motivation to keep it up.
|
Wow, I've missed a lot last week. I haven't been around ... I was having a pity party for myself. lol I lost .8 last week which I should be happy about but I'm not. I'm not used to having these small losses and this last weigh in was actually a big one compared to the last few weeks. I am so not ready for a plateau! But, thats okay, I'm coming to terms with it now .... Not happy about it but I'll work with it. :)
I'll try to post later. I have to go to work! |
Hi everyone~
36~Good to hear from you. You are one busy lady. Bluu~It will be okay, your body is adjusting itself. You will start loosing again. Keep up the good work you will see the scale start to move down again. Right now you may be loosing inches instead of pounds. Take a quick check to see how your clothes are fitting. Eny~did you weigh in today? I weighed in at 188.8. I didn't quite get my 1.2 pound loss, but I will takei!! I am a little bit futher from the 190's and a little bit closer to my Christmas weight. I hope to be a size 12, will settle for 14. I have a lot of 12's in the closet. Don't get down on yourself. Enjoy visiting with Hunter. Come on we are headed for he 170's. Contrats to all the loosers this week Keep up the good work!! Pat http://www.3fatchicks.net/img/heartb...8/150/188/.png |
Eny~I just went back and checked my Christmas goal is 162. That is overweight for me too. We are close in our numbers. I started at 192. Not a big loss but it is a start!! A journey of many miles starts with one step! Pat
|
Pat - I did. I'm at #188.8 as well! :) I know that I will still flux into the #190s - my body just does that - but I'm getting further and further from them! Being "overweight" is like heaven to me... Once I get there I KNOW that I can accomplish anything! I've been obese for SO long! (my lowest "adult" weight is 160 when I was 16!)
I also have to hit #1.1 -#1.2 loss a week to hit my Christmas goal. I made my July goal a little more agressive so that it can off sett some of the lull I'm sure to hit. I have #3.3 more to go by July 31..(#1.4/week) and that will put me 1/2 way to my ULTIMATE goal. (I started at #241) - that will be an incredible feeling! :yay: |
Hi Everyone!!!
Well I am happy to report a 2 pound loss for the week. Despite the diet damage I did over the weekend. It was the local summer celebration weekend. Street dance Friday night, Parade and Street Dance Saturday. Then yesterday I took the kids to Apple River in Wisconsin to go tubing. Friday I kep the drinking in control. I rode in the parade for work and threw candy and only ate 2 bit o honey candies. Saturday was a different story. I told myself I could have 3 Mike's hard lemonade's. Well I had the 3 I allowed myself, but then three more people bought me drinks. By that time I should have said enough..but ohhhhh nooooo. My sister in law's parents own the local bar. So I help with clean up and stuff after the street dance. Then after we get done cleaning up, we sit in the bar and talk and drink. I had 3 more during that time. I know I did a lot more moving than normal on Saturday, I don't think I did enough to cancle out 9 Mike's. I did not get home until 5:00 AM. We were on the road by 7:30 AM Sunday morning. My son drove to Wisconsin, while I slept (if off) in the back seat. I packed a cooler and had sandwiches, watermelon, & carrots, I had a few chips, but not a huge amount. One the way home everyone wated ice cream. Ohhhhh how I love ice cream!!! So we stopped for ice cream...At Cold Stone Creamery. I am sorry but there are some things I just won't pass up. I don't even want to take a guess at how many calories were in that dish of ice cream. I ordered a small one, but could not finish it. But I did enjoy everybit of it. Today is a new day. I do not feel I have "failed". In fact I know I could have did much more diet damage. This morning i was back to my healthy breakfast, and I packed my lunch for work. The scale did not punish me, I wll not punish myself and sabotage all have done these past 6 months. |
KateB, I remember going to Apple River on vacation with my parents right out of nursing school and having bought my first camera. We camped in the Apple River Canyon, but I think we were on the Illinois side, because we were near Galena and President Grant's home. Very pretty!
As expected, I am not a happy camper. 4.5 lbs gained. About to have a :tantrum: If my labs come back alright, what is the problem? Earth-great job. I'm glad you are proud of yourself. You're right, it's a big positive step. Glad to see everybody this week. Talk to you later, going to finish drowning my sorrows in my coffee. Kathy |
Morning all
 Kathy, hang in there. Enjoy your trip to see your son, maybe it's stress that's giving you the issues right now. Earthshaker, wtg on the NSV! KateB great job on the loss, especially in light of the celebration! I agree, Cold Stone Ice cream is a "worth it" treat! Blue Mommy, great job on 2 more gone. Bluuskies, a loss is a loss, even when it's less than you want! Celebrate that it's down, not up, if you can! Dixie and Eny, cool that you are right there together, what a motivator! OK, I have to go, today is my first day back to work since July 2. I have to go get my exercise in, then get in the shower before car pool gets here at 7:30. I also plan to take a 2 mile walk at lunch and drink at least 6 bottles of water today!! TTYL |
mothermavis- i just noticed that we are 'challenge sisters'. my goal is to lose 40 by christmas. gl to ya hun, we can do this.
|
Hi Everyone. I am going blueberry picking this afternoon. I have not done this in a good 20 years. This will be fun, my niece, sister and I. In the winter we will have fresh picked and frozen berries to enjoy. I will let ya know how it went when we get back. Pat
|
OOOhh! Hope you had a great time berry picking, Pat. How fun!
How was work, MM? I know Monday won't be any fun after being gone. And the back to school rush is in full swing--everyone is back from vacation, 3weeks til school starts, every body's getting their surgeries in. Last minute running around and finish packing has been the whole focus of my day. And shopping for the one who has to stay home to work. At least it kept my hands busy and I didn't snack extras:D Talk to you all in the morning before I go. Still debating about the computer. Kathy;) |
Kathy, Work was O. I got an extra 2 miles in at lunch and yesterday and today, got up and got my run in at 6 am so I would have it done. Have a safe trip!
Sometimes later in the day my good intentions get away from me and I "forget" to get my cardio in, so I am trying this on days I don't have class. Days I do have class, I am running in between work and school as there is a running/bike trail nearby. Bluemommy, right back at ya, let's get that 40 gone, I am looking at everything right now, food and exercise are both OP, now if only the darn scale would MOVE. OK, where is everybody! Dixie, how was the BB'ing? Did you have fun? :carrot: |
Hello All!!! I'm back....yet again!! lol!! I haven't been on here since about july 3rd but i'm going to try to be back again until i reach my christmas goal of 120-125. So...the plan....i'm carpooling, which means no more gym. I'm carpooling because i can't afford the gas money or the gym membership anymore. So...going to start getting off at the carpool guys house and walk/jog home everyday. He lives about a mile from me. So...i think that will be a good way to get guaranteed 5 days a week of excersize in. Of course, while i'm walking home i can always go for the extra mile, while i'm at it, down my dirt road.
STarted back trying to eat healthy again. I made my broccoli casserole for breakfast this week, and trying to eat lighter at lunch. So...we'll see how things go. Might take some getting used too but i can do it. |
Lumi - i'm glad you're back! :) I think your plan is awesome! Just keep at it!!! I completely understand the money stuff... it SUCKS!
I've been completely on plan for 6 days now. I'm going to do this! It's WAY too hot out today to go walking outside, so I'll do my pushups, ab video and Tae Bo video tonight. I'm going strong!!! I have to keep it going, especially since TOM is coming this week! |
hiya chicks! i surprised myself today. i did 2 mile watp plus a 20 minute walk outdoors. i am tired now! it's worth it!
|
Hey Lumi, we missed you!
MM- you make me laugh:D Where did you think we all were at 6am? Only my silly husband was up, but he beat you by at least an hour and a half. He was out walking the poor dog at 4:30am. Even on a work day I can't get up before 6:15 am. I am not a morning person. Well, I got on the scale to see what it looked like before leaving today, and I was down 1.5 lbs (probably water) but that made me feel better. the lab work was very good. I forgot to put on my pedometer this morning, so who knows how much walking I have done running around. We have been working on this low dose lipitor with green tea, and my cholesteral has stayed at 160 to 165 for 18 months. It originally took me from 210 to 180 the 1st 3 months, and 180 to 160 the second 3 months. It also upped my triglycerides to 140's and took down my LDL to 80. Can't complain too much about that. We're about to leave town, so everyone keep up the good work while I'm gone. Check in Sunday night or monday. Kathy;) |
Hi Everyone~It is a very hot day here!! Yesterday we tried to go blueberry picking. We followed the directions. Drove around in circles for an hour. Did not find the place. We were all so frustrated. So, blueberry picking another day.
Taking my sexy black dress very seriously I went to the library on a seek and search mission. They didn't have the Fat Smash Diet book. I thought I bought it when it first came out. Can't find it at the moment. I found Sugar Busters Diet, another book I know I have here some where. Another one called Fat Resistance Diet. I am going to read them both and see which one fits my personality best and go from there. I also found a couple of strength training books. I am going to study the workouts and put together something that fits my personality and time schedule. I am going to reach my goals by Christmas!! Be 162 pounds--Wear a beautiful slinky black dress--have new skinny clothes for Christmas. I have #3 weighs here, I have heavier ones at my ex's house, I want them! At least I can get started with the workouts. Eating has been OP. Yesterday was a scheduled rest day, thus the berry picking. Today I wanted to mow the yard, too hot right now. I ran several errands this afternoon, now I am ready to get serious. Hope everyone has a great afternoon and evening. Pat |
Hi Everyone~I did an hour of stepping with intervals of jogging :D I did my wall push ups 9-8-6-5-then 10. I feel it in my shoulders. That black dress is calling me.
Eny~How are ya doing? ;) I think I am going to take a sneak peek at the scales in the morning. I should be on track. Keep up the good work. I found a new favorite dessert. Blueberries with vanilla yogurt, yummmmmo. |
Dixiemae, sorry about the missed berrying! Maybe next time! The blueberries and vanilla yogurt sounds yummy. I like the Schwan's trim creation fudge bars for a treat.
Strength training is something I need to build into my routine. Let us know what you decide, maybe we can borrow ideas. I am a strength training nit wit. Need all the help I can get. I was thinking yesterday while I was out walking at lunch, maybe in the winter, I will join a gym. There is nothing near my house, but they have opened a new one near my work. I had a membership a few years ago to another, but there were no showers, so you could only go on your way home. The new one has showers, so I could go on may way to work and at lunch in the winter. Usually can't get in after work during the school year because YS always has a game somewhere. Kathy, WTG on the 1.5, that's awesome. Hope you are having a wonderful time. Lumi, Welcome back! Did the BF move in? How is all that going? Good plan with the carpooling/exercise. I have been carpooling with another lady when we can (not on the nights I have classes, but still, about 3x a week) It has helped a ton with my gas expenses. It also keeps me from stopping at the grocery store every night, so I save quite a bit there too. :D Seems like I stop 3 times a week and drop $50 bucks a pop, on top of my regular shopping... Bluemommy, great job on the exercise, we can do this!! Eny, 6 days OP! It feels so good, doesn't it? |
Make that 7 girls! I made it through yesterday with FLYING COLORS! :yay:
Dixie - I peeked at the scale this morning too (ok I peek every morning) but I'm at #188.6. where are you? I'm not expecting a huge loss since TOM is coming (due today or tomorrow) I'll be happy to maintain or lose a little ;) I need to really get my butt moving though - I've been slacking on my workouts because my office is a mess with work stuff and quilting stuff. I have to clean it up and make room to groove tonight! I've been able to do my pushups and crunches since I don't need a video for that. It's just been too hot outside for walking. I'm thinking some pilates tonight along w/ the abs. after I get stuff cleaned up. |
Hey Eny, MM, Tapping....thanks for the welcome back!! I'm so excited to be back. I am glad to hear things are going good. Yes Mm....the bf did move in over the 4th of july weekend. We're still getting him settled in while i continue to work full time. Not an easy task but still...i am so happy to have him there. Although, his Simeese cat of 2 1/2 years died after moving in to my house. I feel so guilty. We don't know if it was from the flea bomb i had to use a couple weeks prior to his moving in (baby dd's brought an outside cat in while i was at work and well, we've all seen the flea commerical with the dog. One flea makes thousands!!) His tabby cat is not having any ill effects but my mom says Simeese might be more sensitive to things. So, we took him to the vet, but apparently, we must have waited too long. He died while i was at work yesterday. So sad. I feel so guilty.
Well...i got in about half a mile on my lunch break yesterday. It was not a brisk walk but it was a walk all the same. Just trying to stretch my legs out. I had that vein closure procedure on both legs and my legs just feel tight around the knee areas. Definately going to start taking up my walking again tonight after work. The day for food doesn't look too bad. I had my broccoli/cheese casserole and half a bagel for breakfast, got some chicken breast and small portion of mac & cheese for lunch with a yogurt for desert and a banana for a snack. Dinner may be chicken breast also. Not quite sure yet. Eny....look at you taking the lead on your weightloss over your family!! That is AWESOME!! 7 days on plan!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!! Mm....i think the carpooling may end up saving me a ton of money if i can get it to work out during the school year too. I brought me a 3# weight to work today to see if i can get some arm workout going on while i sit on my butt at my desk. Gotta work on the bat wing!! My db calls it something else to do with a chicken, but i can't remember what it is at the moment!! LOL!! Tapping...sounds like you are seeing some wonderful progress...in weightloss and health benefits. That is great!! Keep up the great job and let us know how your trip was!! Dixie...i love the little black dress goal!! That is a great thing to work towards. And i am sure you will make it. I need to put a dress or pants out in veiw that i can't fit into and start focusing on it!! Okay all!! We got plenty of time to reach our christmas goals. We just gotta stay focused...or rather, I gotta stay focused. You guys are already doing awesome!!! |

Could I join your challenge?:^:
I'm new to 3 fat chicks and am using the South Beach Diet. Good diet, but there isn't much on-line support. I don't get a signature line for a while, but my goal is to reach 185 lbs and my starting weight is 200 lbs. If I can join let me know what else I need to do. Have a good day! Patty |
Patty - :welcome: all you need to do to is stay committed to your goals - pick a plan that works for YOU and come post often! We have a lot of great girls in here with great advice and motivation. We're here for more then just weigh ins - we realize that this is hard especially because life sometimes get in the way of our best laid plans.
Right now there is EXACTLY 23 weeks until :santa: comes - so a #15 loss goal is COMPLETELY doable! It's about #.07 a week that you need to lose (sorry I'm a numbers person.. which is why calorie counting works the best for me! :)) |
It seems like I'm always running late for something, and never really get to respond to everyone like I'd like.
Just wanted to say, I'm enjoying this thread very much. Hearing others' stories is really helping me, and I'm just really glad for it. Oh, and welcome Patty! Wow. 23 weeks till Christmas. I can't wait! |
:welcome3: to our new people to the group. This is a very caring and supportive group. So jump right in :swim: we will have fun getting to know you all.
lumifan~Sorry to hear about your BF's cat. It more than likely had nothing to do with with the flea bomb. Especially since it had been a week or so prior to moving in. Congrats on your walk at lunch time! I had played around with the black dress for several months. Then MM said something wonderful in one of her posts that really brought the dream alive for me. It has motivated me every since. Thank you MM!! Eny~I did my sneak peek wi this morning. 187.0. Enjoy your time with Tom and do the best you can, don't look back. How is Hunter? Eny~ you mentioned quilting "stuff" in your post. Last Fall I picked out a pattern, bought the rotory cutter, thread, fabric. Ready to make an awesome quilt. I am afraid to start cutting for fear I will majorly mess up and waste the fabric. Could you give me some pointers. I have wanted to make a quilt since my early teens. Another dream I would like to make a reality. Grandma left me 3 vintage quilts. I would love to keep that going in the family. It is 97 degrees here, humidity out the window! I wanted to walk yesterday, I just could not take the heat. I will pop in a dvd and get in a workout this afternoon. This is rest day on the push up challenge. Lets hit the workout trail together. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!! MM~Strength training isn't my strong point either :wl:. I used have this complex all or nothing at all. This book has 16 minute workouts. They are doable, not over whelming. You focus on one area of the body a day. I can pick and choose from several different exercises per muscle group to do. I think this will be better for me than trying to keep up with a group on a dvd. I am limited on some exercises because of arthritis. I will let you know how this endeavor works. It is breakfast of yogurt and blueberries. hope everyone has a good day. Pat |
Pat - If you can sew you can quilt. The best thing to do is to just do it. My first quilt was a simple patch quilt - and it turned out beautiful ... to everyone else. All I see are the flaws. There are TONS of reference sites for quilting online - I just simply picked up a book and followed step by step.
Right now I'm working on 2 quilts. one is a scrap quilt (used with a mulitude of fabrics that you have a little of) for my mom & Step dad for Christmas, and the other is a block quilt for a friend's daughter. I'm making that one because of a dream I had. i tend to be very creative in my dreams - and I saw her carrying a blanket around and I knew that I had made it - so i woke up the next morning, figured out which fabrics I had seen in my dream and started working on it. Weird - i know. :) Don't be afraid of cutting the fabric - you won't mess it up. Most quilts are just straight lines - and any quilt/fabric shop carries plastce template pieces that you can use to cut around. It'll be good. :) |
You ladies are amazing, I can't sew a hem and you are making quilts or plans for quilts. Wow, good for you. Send me some creative energy, the only thing I can make is a mess :o.
Can't talk too long tonight, just got home from school, I am beat. I went for a walk at lunch and a run after work, then to college for 3.5 hours , about 90 here today so I am beat. On a happy note, when I got done running, there is an IC stand on the path where I run. They have this frozen yogurt called "only 8" for a half cup, 32 calories and 7 carbs & delish!! So I had one for dinner before I went to school! Slimmin Patty glad to have you. We love new friends (and our old ones too) TTYL |
OK, here I am again.
Lumi, sorry about the cat. That really sucks, but I agree with Dixie, it likely had nothing to do with the bomb, might have happened just the same if they had not moved, so don't beat yourself up. Dixie, I am so glad our posts have motivated you and your little black dress quest. I always feel really good about the support I get here too. I changed my ticker just to reflect how far I need to go to get to the 130's I think maybe combining my short goals with my ultimate Christmas goal would keep me focused on the prize. :D Eathshaker, I agree, some days I don't have time to post much, that's ok, just fly by and wave and come back when you have a minute. :carrot: Blue mommy, how's it going? Eny, you are rocking this OP thing, good for you. Anybody seen Isabel, 36, momma possum or Whoopsee anywhere, they seem to be MIA. Hey ladies, we miss you if you are lurking and not posting!! OK today is a glorious rest day! I have to work til 6 though. :( I will go for a walk again at lunch, about 2 miles to the grocery to get a salad, then back to work to eat it at my desk! Tomorrow I will run again as soon as I get up and have a cup of java. Need to get it in b4 it's too muggy. We have to go to a party tomorrow night, I think I will just stay away from the food table because it's a BBQ so likely lots of mayo salads , chips etc. If I carry a bottle of water and visit with everyone, I will not miss the mayo, besides it's going to be in the 90's again tomorrow, who wants to eat food that's been sitting out... |
Mm....sounds like a good plan to stay away from the food table. I don't think i could do it though. lol.
Thanks for the encouragement about the cat. I just feel so bad for the bf. I hope everyone is having a great FRIDAY!!! I went for a walk last night and got in 3.5 miles for a total of 4.5 yesterday, then got up this morning and did another mile before getting ready for work. Hope to get a mile in at lunch and another 2 or 3 tonight when i get home. Not doing much jogging. Hurt the knee a little yesterday. It must be kinda rusty from the surgery and the month and half off from the gym. lol. I gotta be careful with my food today. I had a chicken bisquit for breakfast today from chick-fil-a. They brought free bisquits yesterday but i had already eaten so i just put mine up for today. On a plus side, i did throw away the bottom half of the bisquit. I know that had to save me some calories and fats and carbs. :-) |
hello ladies, am i able to join in with you? christmas seems like a good time to aim for and try to lose for... i would like to drop to 180 by christmas time :)
|
:welcome2: Paula-This is a very supportive group of ladies. Jump in and we will have fun getting to know you. It is never to late to join in.
MM~sounds like you have a plan going on! It amazes me how you can juggle all of these things, go to school, study, keep up with your house and have personal time too. You are the inspiration to us all. Eny~I can sew! I have a sewing machine. I found the pattern. It is called Arrow Head Puzzle. It has the cutting instructions, how many pieces of each color I need and the piecing instructions. I will read it all, then get out the fabric. Then start planning. Do you mind if I ask questions as I go? I will also go back to the site I found the pattern and check out a few things before I start cutting.----How are you doing today? Everyone have a great day. Catch ya all later. Pat |
hi ladies
mothermavis- i am still tired from todays activities. i did watp (2 miles) and did some outdoor walking today. it was so hot out there but i managed to get it done. |
Dixiemae, you are so sweet! I get it all done because I have to. That's all.
I am glad I finally found time to work me in though, feeling so much better now that my weight is headed where I want it to be. I know it goes back and forth, but trying to stay OP!! Welcome Paula!! It's great to have you!! Bluemommy, great job! It's feels great doesn't it? I did a 2 mile walk at lunch, doing my crunches and leg lifts in about 5 minutes while I watch the rest of the Yankees game. Lumi, looks like you are doing great with your walking, good for you! I agree, it will be a challenge to stay away from the food table, but easier t do that than to start picking at the chips and then try to stop...at least for me. If I start, I can't stop! |
Hi All - just wanted to drop a quick line and say congrats on all the hard work going on here!
Anyway, I got a treadmill this week from a friend that doesn't use it anymore. I hope that doesn't happen at my house! LOL! Does anyone have suggestions on goals I should set for myself to hit by Christmas? I know my weight loss goals but I haven't thought about exercise goals. I have read where a few of you have step goals, etc. Any ideas would be appriciated. Other than that, I have just been dancing around with my kids. But I would like to get something a little more structured. THANKS! -Amanda |
