:wave:Hi, Bluu. Glad you are here with us. Just send the blue skies my way another day. It started raining when I sent something to the mailbox, and we need it. No storms, just rain. The lightning was pretty last night but it never rained.
 I am a happy girl this morning. I lost all the water plus 2 more lbs, so I am down from my beginning weight.:carrot: We'll see if the tracker shows up the way it's supposed to. Is it me? I am having the worst time working with that thing. Can't you just change it without having to start all over again? That seems to be the only way to get it to work for me. I spent a half hour just on that this morning. Been running around this morning, cleaning and getting the dog to the groomer. He looks like a 70's shag rug that got thrown wet into the dryer, instead of a schnauzer. The groomer has been on vacation, then it took her another week to get to the messages on her answering machine! Eny, I know what you mean about pretty days when you're working. I just hate it when the smokers go outside for a break and come in carrying on about how gorgeous it is. Just makes it hard on the rest of the day. Good luck to all. Hope you all are "losers" today when you weigh in. :cp:Kathy;) |
We have had rain the past few days. I'm done with it, I'll send it to you. Today seems to be nice so far. I need to do yard work but I don't feel like getting all sweaty again. I had to go to work this morning so I got all stinky already today. Guess on the bright side it would force me to drink more water. Thats been one of my problems lately. I've slowed down on my water for some reason. I need to fix that. When I'm working and working out I drink plenty. The days I'm home ... I'm lucky to get half of my minimum in.
Ok, I ramble ... I'm done ... for now. ;) |
I've been having troubles drinking all my water too lately, I dont know why because its hot here so you think I would be thirsty still.I'm not losing any weight already. I'm down from 184 to 176.8 since June 11th, but still the same...blah!! noone to blame but myself, not walking too hot out there and working alot with the long week-end here, and I'm the manager so I shold be there. I need to work in my flower beds sooo badly too, the weeds are looking pretty thick. Maybe Sunday or Monday when I have off finally and if it doesnt rain. Well better go and post some more so I can get my tickers soon.
Way to go "Losers" Keep it up :cheer: Isabel :carrot: |
Hey Blu, welcome, we are glad you're here.
Kathy, I don't think I could rent the condos, I'd never want to leave! Just click on your ticker, it should take you to your password to update it. Isabel, I struggle with the water sometimes too, other times, it's the only thing I do right..go figure. I have been having wild fluctuations lately, can't quite figure it out, staying off the scale so I don't get too wrapped up in it, but one day my rings are so tight I can't stand it and then they are better...trying to find where I am overdoing salt or underdoing water. Pat, How are you doing? Karen & Eny, I am with you, have a lot of time off coming up and not always so good then. I just signed up to go back to college and am taking a summer session course 2 nights a week, need to prepare for that too so I stay far away from the drive thru when I am hungry. Eathshaker, wtg, compliments are the best! Josephine, think I am going to restart C25k. I really want to get to where you are with the long runs! |
 Good morning to all! Hope everyone has a great weekend.
I was just sharing this on the other thread, and now I will share it with you. In one of my magazines this week, there was a blurb about a new free service (as in, non-subscription or pay as you go service). You text message in your cell phone a nationwide chain restaurant and a food item--say McDonald's Big Mac--to 34381 (DIET1), and it will send a message back with the nutritional information. I'm willing to bet that you would have to pay whatever texting charges you have on your cell phone, but those aren't usually too bad. I tried it and it works. What a great idea for travelling or if you aren't sure if the 2 scoops of chocolate ice cream at Baskin-Robbins will fit in the plan for the day! I don't know what all is on the list, they said they cover 1700 different restaurants but didn't list them in the little blurb. I had to laugh, though because whoever wrote it put the directions in backwards:o Wonder where we could find the list? I didn't think of this before, but I wonder if it would work for those outside the US. Isabel, if your gall bladder is really out of whack, that may be everything that isn't going right for you. One of the "out of my control" issues that plague us all. Talk to you all later. Kathy;) |
Kathy - what a cool find!
I am happy to report that I did VERY good last night at the tastefully simple party, and only tasted a few of the items instead of the 23 she had there! I've been to them before, so I know what ones I really like anyhow. :) I didn't pyscho-analyze every calorie (since the tastes were tiny bites) but I just added 200 cals to my count for the day to account for the 5 things I did try - and I was still under the 1500! :) Actually I was at 1236 for the day - AND I Decided to NOT eat the potato chips I was craving last night before bed! :yay: I love NSVs :) I feel good about the last week. I have a wedding to go to today - and I'm going to be very picky on what I eat... I'm not a big cake person, so I'm not worried about that too much. I know there's veggie lasagna - I think I can make good choices.. and since I'm driving No alcohol! :D See how I plan it all out... Keeps me on target. :) Have a great day girls! Stay ON PLAN! I know that weekends can be KILLERS! (especially for me!) :grouphug: :santa:'s on his way!!! |
Morning ladies... I got weighed in yesterday and I'm down 1.2Lbs :carrot:
Lastnight my family wanted to go out for Chinese and its my favourite, my downfall, I've been fighting the cravings for it. We went lastnight and I didnt eat any of the fried breaded stuff or the yummy chicken wings  I stuck with won ton soup(couldnt pass that up) very little rice because of starch after 4 isnt good and 2 very small ribs. I'll make sure I work hard today so when I weigh in tomorrow, I wont be up. Well off to do some flower beds today, my flowers are screaming about the weeds after all the rain we've been getting :D Have a great day!! Isabel |
Morning girls. I just had a kick a$$ week! I stayed on plan EVERYDAY! And during weigh in this morning IT SHOWED! I lost #3 this week!:yay: :cheer: :cheer2: I'm SO EXCITED!!! I'm now #28 away from my Christmas goal! And this last week is PROOF that I can do this!!!
I'm So happy with myself! It's been a long time since I was able to stay on task.. and I can almost "see" the #180's again! |
Congrats to those who had a loss this week!
I weighed myself on Thursday and had maintained. Considering the choices I made that is a victory. Yesterday wasn't that great for me either. I had such a busy day and quite a few outings that I wasn't able to plan very well for. I did the best I could but I'm gonna have to really buckle down the rest of the week. I'm doing good on water so far today. Lets see if I can keep it up. :) |
:hug:Hey all! Been running around again.:dizzy:
Bluu--maintaining is a good thing:), unless it gets to be a plateau. Here's hoping you lose this week! Good job Eny and Isabel:) I was bad yesterday, in that I didn't ever plan my day, and it got away from me. I think I gained only some water weight from the Chinese DH wanted for dinner after church. I'll check in the morning. I am proud of myself in that I caught myself, planned for today and have stuck with it, and have planned the rest of the week already this afternoon:D Guess keeping up with all of you is helping me. Thanks. Speaking of planning--There are some planned menus, called Good Sense Meal Plans on goodhousekeeping.com. There are 4 kinds of meal plans, each for 4 weeks. There is also some things from Jorge Cruise's 3 Hour Diet. Have a great evening. Kathy;) |
Hi all~This was not a kick butt week for me, but it wasn't a total bust either. Tomorrow is weigh in day for me. I am not real excited to jump on the scale, but I will hold myself accountable for what ever happens. I mowed the yard today and scrubbed the daylights out of the bath tub. Maybe that counts for a little bit. This week I want to say I stayed op all week and exercised every day. This is my goal. I want to weigh 180 something. I will kick my own butt to get it done. I need you ladies to hold me accountable to report every day what I have done for that day. Here I go!!!!
MotherMavis~I am still an emotional mess, but I am better. It is slow going, but I will get back to being myself, and doing what I know I need to do for me. It is coming. Thank you so much for asking. Pat |
Had a pretty uneventful weekend all in all. Tom's mother & grandparents came over this afternoon for lunch & to try and stop his grandfather from going completely stir crazy. It was a nice time and even though they insisted that we order from Papa John's I was VERY good! It helped that I got to be the one to chase after Johnny so hardly even had time to eat :)
Tomorrow night I do the whole weighing in thing. I'll be happy with any loss, of course, but I'm really hoping for something over a pound so I feel like I'm making some sort of headway with getting out of the hole I got myself into with the gains I've had this last month! Tomorrow is also one of my designated measurement days so we'll see how that goes, too. It should be a pretty slow week at work this week - holiday weeks typically are around here. It's also a short week forme because of the holiday - off Thursday, Friday & Saturday rather than just Friday & Saturday. Horribly exciting stuff! Kathy - thanks for the info on those meal planning sites! I'm HORRIBLE at planning so maybe they'll give me some ideas. Tonight, in fact, I woke up a little later than I had wanted from my pre-work nap and neglected to bring anything with me to work yet again ... ugh! Isabel - any word yet on the gall bladder? How are you feeling? Eny - congrats on the killer loss! You go girl!!! Everyone else - I'll try and get more personals done later, but I've got a pile of paperwork to dive into before I get too more distracted!!! |
Hi Everyone~Today is Monday, I hope everyone is having a good day. I want to say welcome to our new members.
I weighed in this morning. I don't know exactly how to count this. I had gained a pound and a half 2 weeks ago. At weigh in this morning I had lost the half pound, so I am still up one pound. Y E A H for the half pound gone. K U D O S to all that lost weight. Way to go!! Today I take my Sister to the doctors then go to our other sisters to play card this evening. I have a plan to keep out of the sugary sweets. I will do some exercise before I go. Soooo catch ya all later. Pat |
afternoon ladies...
Whoopsieedaisies..Thanx for asking, I feel ok, not worn out anymore. I keep calling about getting my ultrasound set up and they keep saying the ER didnt send the paperwork and the ER says they did and so on, I've called twice now and I have to call back Wednesday and see if they have it by then.I just want this overwith so if I need to have surgery I need to know.I'm the boss where I work and I'll have to plan it for me being gone.Plus I have to tell Herbal Magic and they have to put me on a different program with different pills till I heal and get back up and going. |
sorry I forgot to say Congrats to all the "Losers" way to go ladies!!!!!
Isabel:carrot: |
Well, there you all are. I didn't get any e-mails that anyone had posted today, which I thought was strange, so I came investigating.:chin:
Hope everyone is having a good Monday. :cp:Pat, 1/2 lb gone is good, considering the week you had. WTG Got to get some things done this afternoon, but I'll check in later. Kathy;) |
I did it! I lost the 2.2 pounds I had gained last week! In fact, I lost EXACTLY 2.2 pounds!!! Now ... let's see if I can do half as good this next week :D
|
Great job Pat, Karen, Eny and Isabel.
I am still swearing off the scale. I have to work 2 more days, including today and then I am off for 12 glorious days!! I am going to use the time off to get at least an extra hour of exercise each day and maybe get my losing jump-started again. I love to hike on the nice days, I am trying to get running and I bought 3 turbo jam dvd's in an ebay auction a month or so ago and have not even gotten thru them all once. OK, have to get moving, have a great day all!! |
I tried to go back and find where I started the challenge at (I think it was at 326 but I'm not sure? I seem to remember that). I weighed this morning, and I'm at 316.4. I'm so excited that the scale is finally moving after months and months of one or two pounds a month. While I don't want to get caught up on numbers, it struck me that, at this rate, I could be out of the 300's for the first time in years and years by the end of August.
That's a whole new world. I also, yesterday, stopped making excuses and joined the gym at work. I kept thinking that if I found another job, I'd have to quit, yadda yadda yadda, and I didn't want to invest the money. I found out, though, that it's only $10 a month, so there really wasn't a whole lot of money to waste. The girl there was so nice and encouraging. I have an appointment at 8 this morning with her to take me through the equipment because I've never done anything like this before. I begged her not to hurt me. I love this thread and even though I don't post as much as I'd like to, I'm enjoying hearing your stories. Thanks for being such a great group of people. |
Good morning everyone. I've been wasting away my day so far. Enjoying having two of my boys gone for the week at scout camp. I have my youngest son home with me first time ever just us. It is wonderful!
Congrats to the losers this week! Hope I join you on Thursday. Thats when I WI. I did better on my water yesterday ... hope today I can keep it up. EarthShaker - WTG on joining the gym! If they have a pool with water aerobics classes I'd look into that. It is a GREAT workout, up to 600 calories an hour, and lots of fun. But, of course I'm partial to it since I'm a water fitness instructor. :) It's so much easier on the body. I hope you enjoy the gym and keep with it. It makes a world of a difference in every day life! |
Hello all I am def up for this challenge! I hope to be at my goal by the end of the year. Congrats to you all who had a great week last week!!!!!
|
Karen I'M SO EXCITED FOR YOU!!! Now just STAY ON TRACK!!! We can do this!!!
|
Good Morning Ladies~Welcome to Matilda08. I love your affirmation!! I wrote it down. I will post it on the fridge where I can see it every time I go to open the door.
Congrats and Kudos to all the losers this week! Woopsee~Way to go. You are on a roll now. Earthshaker~Congrats for joining your gym at work. MotherMavis~What kind of work out is your turbo Jam dvd? I am looking for a few new dvds to add some spark to my workouts. Catch ya all later. Pat |
Hey all!! So glad to see you all are doing so great. I saw alot of you have got that scale to move again!! Way to go!! It's almost quitting time, so i don't have time for alot of personals.
Mmavis...I haven't forgotten you or our challenge to christmas. I am so looking foward to this month getting back on track. Although, i may not be able to go to my gym this month because of gas prices, i am going to try to get up in the am and go outside and get my jogging in. My bf is moving in this week and so i think i will really be able to finally focus on myself again because now he will be so accessable that i won't be trying to divide my time between him, my kids and myself. I think things will be coming together finally. Also, going back on the healthy choice lunches that have worked so well for making sure i get a good balance of meats/veggies/starches and sweets. Gotta go back to what has worked in the past. And maybe i can find time to work out in the am and pm. Gotta start working with some weights to tone up some muscles. Going to enlist the bf to help out once he gets settled. Okay...so, christmas goal. Be in a size 2 misses and be down to 120. Yeah...that's it. :-) |
Hey all! I was very busy today, so I am late getting here. Hope everyone had a great day. And hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Got a new pedometer this evening, and if nothing else it, it keeps me aware that I need to get off my bottom (except when I am here, of course!) and move it. Hopefully these 2 challenges are going to work together and get me some good results. My mom's little surgery went well, so today is all good. :welcome2:Matilda. and good job to all the great things happening to everyone this week.:carrot: We seem to be on a roll. How's it going Isabel? Any ultrasound yet? Gotta get to bed so I can work in the morning. Check in tomorrow. Kathy:flow2: |
Morning all! Today is my last day of work until July 15 :carrot:!
Kathy, congrats on the new pedometer. I just ordered one from Amazon last night. Lumi, welcome back. I've been struggling with ya, stuck right around 150 so my mini goal right now if just to get under 150, then 145 and so on. Baby steps. I love your size goal! Matilda, welcome! Earthshaker, have fun at the gym! That is great! Pat, I got TurboJam's fatblaster, booty sculpt and turbosculpt w ab jam. I like the last one the best, but I need to do all of them quite a bit more. Just like I am better at writing about eating right than actually doing it, I am better at thinking about exercise than doing it!! I am off to work! Have a great day all! |

It didn't kill me, although after 10 minutes on the elliptical machine, I thought it was going to. I managed, between the two machines she pointed me to, 30 minutes total, so I was rather proud of myself for moving in ways I hadn't before. I'm hoping to get in three times a week and slowly build up my time. Today, though, I'm going hiking on the trail. Quote:

You are doing great with the gym. Keep it up! And remember ... any activity is better than nothing. Try to make a workout plan you can keep for life so you can keep the weight off that you've lost. :) |
I would like to join also, I've got a 1ot to lose, and I know I wont lose it all by christmas, but every little bit helps
Paulas |
Good morning girls! I'm happy to report that I completed day 14 on plan! :cheer: and day 15 is going strong so far! (mind you all I've done is eat breakfast ;))
Everyone seems to be doing good right now. That's AWESOME! I'm not struggling with the emotional eating so much - which is really nice! I think seeing the scale move is really helping! I have #28 more to lose by Christmas - and I HAVE to stick to it! #1.2 a week is completely do-able right? Paula - :welcome: and you're right every bit helps! Alright girls - I have some work to do! I'll check back later! |

Hi there ladies...
Tapping... No ultrasound yet, they keep losing my paperwork..go figure!! I've called twice now and tired of hearing the same thing. :cheer2: for all the wonderful losers this week. I went in to my weigh in and was down 1.6Lbs. :woohoo: Then she challenged me to lose 2.5Lbs by Saturday, I dont know if she meant this saturday or next..I think this saturday,I have to ask her when I go in tomorrow.I also got measured today and I was down another 3 3/4" a total of 13 3/4". Dont know how I'm gonna lose the 2.5Lbs by this saturday though:dizzy: can't wait till I get my tracker on here though. Well better go and post elsewhere so take care ladies :cheer2:remember who your doing this for and you can do it, we can do it together :cheer3: Isabel :carrot: |
Isabel,
I may have missed the ultrasound saga, but why isn't your doctor just faxing an order to the hospital/facility for your test? The "lost paperwork," while it happens, sounds fishy when there are other ways to get it done. |
Hello all! I just completed 15 days on plan! I did about 45 mins of exercise. It was a lighter day because of rain, and my back's sore. I got a massage this afternoon so it's better now.
Isabel - great weigh in! Also I'd start asking more questions on the whole paper work thing.. sounds weird for an office to lose it twice. |
Way to go, Isabel!!!!!
I agree with all of the above about the lost paperwork seeming a bit weird. I don't know how easy it would be for you to change doctors but I would seriously consider it if it was me! If this IS your gall bladder you really don't want it to get so out of control and damaged that it ends up having to be an emergency removal. Trust me .... those are no fun at all! Ack ... my pile of paperwork just grew ... Why oh why is there so much to do when all I want to do is sit here and play catch up??? |
One more quick thing ...
Have any of you bothered clicking on that "Fresh Approach Diet Store" ad at the side of the page? They have some AWESOME stuff!!! I'm going to have to work real hard at controlling myself seeing as how I just spent a massive amount of $$$$$ on my awesome new MBT shoes (which arrived this afternoon)! |
Isabel, wtg on the loss, that's great!
Paula, welcome! Karen, I confess, i did not know what the shoes were, just looked at Zappo's, neat! Let us know what you think after you try them for a bit. I have 12 days to do what I like. Today is going to be a cleaning day. Need to get in all the corners that get glossed over when you are busy. I am also going to refocus on the C25K while I am off. I was doing really well with that in April, then fell off the wagon. I have been stuck between 147 and 153 ever since. Hmm, anyone else see a pattern.... I also want to get thru all the Turbojam's I have and see what I like the best. So my goal for the 12 days is to lose 5 pounds. I weighed 151.8 this morning, that's up 2 pounds from when I started this challenge, and almost 5 from my ticker, need to get the scale moving in the right direction and back to Ticker Weight before I go back to work!! Christmas is 25 weeks away. According to Fitday, if I lose 1.63 per week, I can weigh still 111 by Christmas. I don't know if I need to weigh 111. I want to get to 130 and see from there. I love Fitday, need to get better about logging everything there too. Makes it easier when I can see what I was eating when I was losing and what I ate when I did not. |
Good Morning everyone~I kinda sorta cheated this morning. I couldn't resist stepping on the scale. It said 190.8. I am determined to loose .9 pounds by Monday. I did an hour of stepping yesterday afternoon, I did the same the day before. My eating has been good. I will make it through the bbq at my sisters house on the 4th :-). It is doable. Official weigh in is on Monday.
Where is everyone?? I hope you all are having a great day. Pat |
Pat - I'm with you! I stepped on this morning and it said #190.6 - which is #1 down from Monday. :) I need to stick to my #1.2 a week goal - so that means I have to be good this weekend and lose the other #.2 by Monday :)
