Morning everyone! I got my 5 miler in this morning early (before the heat) and I'm glad because now I feel pooped!

iriswhispers: I'm definitely a morning person, by the afternoon a lot of my motivation evaporates and I get sluggish. Which works out well where I live because it is so much hotter once the sun comes up. Plus, there's so little traffic on the roads in the early morning, it makes running that much nicer.

Total challenge miles: 29

Hi all,
I am at 21.5 since I joined this challenge. Today I upped my treadmill walk/run to 3 miles. I averaged 13 min miles. I would love to get back to 10-11 min miles. But, moving (literally) in the right direction.
It's very easy for me to slow down to a walk or run at a lower speed on the treadmill (l am slow outside but don't generally walk as much). I need to be a little harder on myself. Usually I hold 2 lb weights so I feel like I'm burning more energy... hence I can be easier with the speed. But today since it was my goal to get back to 3 miles, no weights. But I still didn't really push the speed.

have a good Saturday night and happy Sunday.

Morning everybody!

No running for me today; according to my schedule I'm supposed to do an easy 30 - 45 minutes of cross training. I think I'll probably be cycling.

Nice job on the treadmill Kitty! I need to do a bit more treadmill work instead of all outside, it is good for the joints to get some mileage on the treadmill!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Default ready to kick it...

It's Mon. and I finished my 1st brutal workout of the week!
Today's run: 4.5 miles
Total for challenge: 27 miles

Tyler Durden: Thanks for the great advice! It helped me stay focused and not be so hard on myself. I really needed that!

iriswhispers: I'm NOT looking forward to running the hills during my race! This week begins the torture of increasing the incline on the treadmill. I'm scared!

Morning all, it was quiet in here yesterday! Hope everyone is doing ok!

This morning I ran a quick 2 miler. Looks like that is the last 2 miler on my training schedule and I'm going to miss this short little run!

Total challenge miles: 34

I eeked out 1 mile on the treadmill yesterday. Maybe inspirational music would help.
total 25.75-- still pretty cool to watch milage increase. I'm at least appreciating that apect of this challenge!

I don't see a chance for a work out today, though.

wow...ya'll are doing sooooo good!! I have been such a slacker so far. I got a 1/2 mile walk in on friday going to get me a pack of gum..that puts me up to like ....3 1/2 miles. I suck!! But okay...I will get 2 1/2 in tonight. So, i'll report back tomorrow and let ya know if i do it. I have gotta get the determination ya'll have. I wish i could run in the morning but i can barely get myself up and get ready for work in time. And i have to drop the kids off so early at school....mornings are just not the right time for me. Mid-day sucks too because i can't get all sweaty at lunch. That just leaves around 6pm. And it does take motivation to go excersize that time of day. But congrats to ya'll for the awesome job your doing. And i'm going to try to stop being such a slacker!!!!

Hi all,
I had a great workout today! It was time to add a little more incline on the treadmill. I'm not going to lie to you...it was brutal. But I made it and added another .5 mile to my run!

Today's run: 5 miles (I've never ran 5 miles in my life!!!)
Total for challenge: 32 miles

lumifan: Don't be soooo hard on yourself! Here's a hug from me to you. Just try to do a little bit each day. Believe me it adds up! Six weeks ago, 15 mins on the treadmill was torture for me! I've come a LONG way and so can you!

Yo, yo, yo runners? How are we doing today? I ran a nice 4 miler this morning and felt pretty strong during it.

Total challenge miles: 38

Is everyone doing the 3FC 5k run/walk hosted by EZMONEY this weekend? I hope so!!! I'm doing a double since I have a 6 miler on the schedule for Saturday.

Great job DC on your first 5 miles, whoo hooo!! I bet that felt great!

Lumifan -- you're doing great! Every little bit of mileage is fantastiv and nothing to sneer at!!! Keep up the good work, it is HARD fitting in runs when you are as busy as you are!

Hey everybody!

Today is a cross training day for me. So most likely I won't be running unless I get an unexpected burst of energy. The next few days are all scheduled run days so maybe I'll just take it easy. Don't want to burnout!

Before I forget, I signed up for EZMONEY'S 5k. I plan to run it both days!

Tyler Durden: Running 5 miles was amazing! For me, it kind of felt like running a marathon. Quick question: I only have 4 weeks left before my 5k. Should I continue to try to increase my distance or work more on interval training at this point?

Hi gang!
Adding two miles today. But I did them with alternating intensity, and no walking! Felt great at the end. And got my kindergartener to school just in time!!

total challenge miles 27.75

I'd lke to do a 5k this weekend. There are two close by. But, it is supposed to rain on the day that works for me. And I committed to dog sitting my neighbor's puppy. I'm going to rock out at leat 3.1 mile on the treadmill and call it MY 5k

Hi everybody!!! I took the day off yesterday and actually spent an hour at the gym walking. Well...i walked on the treadmill and got in a mile, I did 2 miles on the elliptical and then i walked the indoor track for a mile. So i got 4 miles in yesterday!!!! Whew who!!! I was so stoked!!! So..that brings my total up to 7 1/2 miles. Yeah...i know it's not much. I am planning on going to the gym tonight if we don't go to my boyfriends parents hosue for dinner. but if we do, i'll definately be going to the gym tomorrow. I didn't get to go for my walk/jog wednesday night because i had to pick my kids up after work, drop them off at their grandparents for the rest of the week, then head to my boyfriends to cook dinner. yeah...by the time that was finished...i was too pooped to think about excersize. lol.

Hope everyone else is doing great on their goals!!
