Janel, i take the "Women's" multivitamin from a company called MegaFood. all of the vitamins in it are in "food state" (as opposed to elemental) so they are more available for your body to absorb. I have to watch my iron very closely as well and these have 100% daily value. I think they are more expensive than some other vitamins but we have a discount drug store near where i live and i get them there.

So, I got my hair done today for an interview, used my new camera for the first time, and dammit the usb cable thing doesn't fit so I have to wait to get a new one before I can upload them! And I actually think I look kinda nice in these pics.

having hair done and dressing nicely always makes me feel better - i'm sure you did look nice, shari! the other night i actually did my hair and even a little makeup and wore heels out to dinner. man i felt fabulous!

Here is what is happening with me: I went to the seminar on the LAP Band and it was good information. I am encouraged. They gave a few assignments and one of them being I have to get the book on the South Beach Diet and begin reading. So I plan on getting it tomorrow.
I have been doing great with my water intake and to my suprise my food selection has been super these last few days. I am purposefully choosing food that is low in cal and healthier for me. I even think I want to start a diet soon. I looked up some information on the SBD and think I can do at least the first part. I am going to get the book and read a little more before I decide.
I want to see myself do more excerise. The weather is a factor. I can't wait until it warms up and I can go and walk down by the water.
I must say I am afraid ~of myself~I want some fried fish, and lots of it. Sounds like the "usual" sobatage to me.
Today I am going to work on just staying into TODAY
I will drink my water
Eat a regular portion
Walk the stairs, and dress up, look and smell fabulous for the comedy show I am going to this evening.

Chicks I need you, thanks for being here

Hi girls,

Sorry i have been a stranger but the past two days were a blur. From what I can remember of Friday, I went to work (taking the stairs) no water though. I had all these people show up with no appointment so the work I did have scheduled got pushed back. Friday night's dinner was take out. On Saturday I looked at townhomes with my fiance and we did find one but we talked it over in a restaurant (Red Hot and blue to be exact). We did decide on one to rent but I am exhausted from all of the driving around so i just had left overs. I am determined to drink 64 oz of water today (sunday) if it kills me.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend.

Not looking back on yesterday; looking forward to today.

Good morning girls - Today is so-so. Eating's good - except that I'm sick (strep) which sucks BADLY!

I'm drinking a TON of liquids - 1. to wash the bug out of my system, and 2. because the coldness feel SO good on my swollen throat!

I went to DD's school playground yesterday - and we had a BLAST! it was great exercise running all over with her and climbing through the Jungle Gym. The best part... I WASN'T EMBARRASSED TO DO IT! I didn't worry about what the other moms thought about the fat woman squeezing through the slide etc. I just HAD FUN! It was awesome - also I walked there (DD rode her bike) so that was about a mile long walk as well. THANK GOD FOR WARM WEATHER!!!

I'm trying to rest some today and get house work done. It's going to be a VERY long week if I'm not feeling good I'm definitely going to go to bed early tonight! But, I'd like to take another walk w/ DD tonight too. Hopefully we can, otherwise I'll do a one mile walk w/ the video.

Ok - I have to go start laundry - but here's the motivational quote for today:

Chicks how wonderful it was having a 60 degree day. All things considered I had a good day. I too got out and played with my DGS who I ended up chasing for one whole block. Then I decided what the heck and jogged all the way back. So I got good excerise in today. The negtive is I ate a little bit of candy and a lot of nuts (almonds, peanuts, cashews, sunflower seeds).
Just a few more days until earthday and I feel like I am falling off. I almost weight myself but my DD scale needed a battery. GOOD!!! I am going to wait until Earthday to weight myself again.

Sorry I've been kinda MIA, just been kinda busy and tired. I think I got that job, she said she'll call me around Tuesday to let me know the times for the new training classes so.....I'll feel much better when I actually KNOW when I start.

I'm still sick today True spring fever! It SUCKS! Eating's ok - kinda eating comfort foods a little bit today - but not going over board. If I'm feeling better this afternoon I'm going to walk to pick up Hunter from school It's a beautiful day out. I just hate that I'm stuck inside! At elast I'm able to work from home rather then being at work. There's something calming about working in one's Jammies!

Evertything is going well.. I'm getting excited about Earth Day weigh in... even if I lose #1 from where I was a week ago when I cheated (back up to #190) I'll be happy. Trying to trust myself with food again doing this IE stuff is a little tricky. I'm getting better though.

Baby - I'm glad things are going good for you too! Isn't the warmer weather a blessing??

How is everyone else doing?

Eny so sorry your sick but the body has a way of demanding ME TIME!!!!
Be good to your self.
Today I went for my regular physical therapy and wooo did they make me work TODAY! I decided that was my workout time
I ate good but it was heavy food and got my water intake (5 glasses) Whoo, Whoo.
This challenge is almost over and I have been looking around for another group to join. I like the frequent communication. Nothing stands out at this point.

I hope the job search works out for you as you desire

Oh yea, today I went and bought the South Beach diet book. So far it sounds alright. Already someone told me "Oh that diet don't work" I ask which one do and he said "lettuce and water diet" I never heard of it myself.

Baby- any more on the lapband stuff? I see you bought the SBD book - how's it going? does it seem like something you could do? Here's some for you!

As for the next challenge - after this one ends I'm going to start a First Day of Summer (June 21) one. I like random holidays - and it's about 8 weeks from Earthday. - I'd LOVE for you to continue talking w/ us!

I did walk to pick up Hunter yesterday - she was excited! She asked if we could walk again today - but I told her it depended on what time I got home from work.. but hopefully later we'll be able to walk after her dance class. If not then I'm DEFINATELY doing my walk video tonight!

I feel good right now!
