Hello Chickies.
I just thought I would post really quick to check in. I am down another 2 pounds which means I'm only 5 pounds away from my goal-YAY! I'm imagining that I will have a few set backs with the holidays quickly approaching, but I'm still pretty excited about the loss. I am actually wearing jeans that I wore when I first met my husband 7 years ago! I kept them in a "hopeful" stack in my closet, and it feels great to be wearing them again. Sorry...I haven't forgotten about you all, I read the board everyday but sometimes I don't have time to post...but I will be more diligent and encouraging for you.
I have been doing well the last week except that I have not been getting enough water into me! I am doing the core program and so far I am close to a 6 pond loss. Moving slowly but in the right direction. I go tomorrow for my weigh in and I expect it will only be a 1 pound loss. Even though I am doing the core program I still watch my points and use up those extra 35 a week, but I haven't been able to exercise much because last week I had a bad knee and I also have had problems with a tendinitis in my right arm. I am a massage therapist and I worked a lot this summer and by the end of it I had burnt out my arm :( I have been able to take about three months off work but it seems that I am busier now that when I was working so I haven't given it much rest. I am going for physiotherapy tomorrow so hopefully I will get some ultrasound on it and it will go away!! That way I can get back to lifting weights and running. It sounds like excuses excuses but really I'm getting old and falling apart ;) |

Lyrticia- Sorry you're not feeling at your best. 1 pound will still be a great loss, it takes me forever to lose 1 lb. Hope you start feeling better soon. Well ladies I LOST 2 LBS, it may not seem like a big deal but for those of you who know, for some reason I had been stuck at 153 FOREVER. I decided to do a 1 day fast to get me unstuck, it was the first one I had ever done and it worked, but boy it was hard. Hope everyone else is doing well. |

I just finished weighing in - I'm down #3.4 to #185.1. I'm sure I'm retaining some water though, and last night's 2 am snack probably didn't help.. dumb stress! :stress: #4.6 til Turkey day goal #15.1 for Santa #30.1 for my b-day/Valentines! |
I just joined and was curious on how everyones challange was going? I am looking to loose about 50 - 60 lbs......I know that I will not be able to loose all by x-mas.....but something will be nice.....

Oops! I haven't been posting in here!! I'll have to go back and catch up on how everyone's doing. I haven't really been actively trying to lose -- just sort of maintaining -- but somehow I was down to 161 this morning. I certainly could still make the goal if I focus, but we'll see how it works out. I really would like to see those 150s by Christmas...

Willba3- I hope you join the challenge, I think the ladies in this challenge who have been sticking around are doing excptionally well. We have our bumps in the road of course but we all seem to get right back on the horse. I'm sure if you put your mind to it you can lose close to 10 lbs my christmas ??? LisaMarie, good to see ya back.. thats good that you've been able to maintain, just stick around and I think you'll see 150 by Christmas. I'm doing weel, I did a 1 hr jog this morning that felt GREAT. I definatly need to do it more. I tried this drink that my honey drinks called redline, it made me feel like I could run for days. May not be so good for me though... |
It sounds like everyone is really kicking it into high gear! It is so nice to see. I am so excited to make my Thanksgiving goal. I only need 5 more pounds. I know it won't be easy though. So tell me....what are you girls planning on doing for Thanksgiving day....I mean do you plan on just going for it and taking a day off?? That's what I plan to do! I'm definitely not going to deprive myself on that day when I've been working so hard. I know I will just have to work extra hard the following weeks to make up for it. Lord knows that I will burn lots of calories the day after...shopping all day-LOL!! I think it will all work out in the end! Is there something that you are really looking forward to eating on turkey day???.....I'd have to say pumpkin pie with extra whipped cream-YUM!! Okay, enough rambling. I just wanted to check in. Im holding steady at 160 for the moment. Hoping to be in the 150's by Monday. Good Luck, and chat soon.

Hey girls - sorry I disappeared for a little bit. I'm back now! :) I honestly just kinda forgot about the christmas challenge - even though I have the ticker made... :joker: I'm having a hard time remembering the worth of all of this right now. I'm one of those people that wants immediate results - and I know that I'm not goign to get them.
I have to remember 2 years ago I was at #241 and i lost to #192 with no effort at all - but it took 2 years!!! I don't want the next #60 to take near that long! I want to hit my goal of #125 by Memorial day!!! #60.1 in 6 months is doable if I actual work at it right? I'm just frusterated right now!!! *sigh* |
Enygirl, I feel ya, I start getting really unmotivated when I don't see the pounds dropping fast enough and I usually end up quitting for a while which just means gaining back some of the weight I had lost. I'm actually feeling a bit like that now
Ladies I dunno how but I gained 2 lbs, I havn't been doing quite as good as I had been with the food and exercise but I still shouldn't have gained 2 lbs. I'm drinking alotta water and it isn't TOM so I dunno what the hec is going on. It's really making me sad. |

I am sorry to hear that. Just keep plugging away. Those two nasty lbs will come off and more too. I had to make a new Thanksgiving goal and a new Christmas goal since I have already hit mine. Thanksgiving 165 Christmas 160. Ok unlike all of you I don't push it to hard lol. According to the formula that says what a person should be taking in. I would have to eat less than 700 calories a day to lose 2lbs a week. Isn't going to happen so I will be happy with 1lb a week lol. |
Hey all, Thanksgiving is only a few days away. It's 5 weeks from today til Christmas eve. Let's all do everything we can to get there!! I so want to tell my hubby to buy a smaller size jeans, but I have to be able to wear them or he'll be disappointed. I think he feels like he wasted money, I have a closet full I can't get my butt into, why buy more of those. :nono:

OMG! I'm starting all over again! I had a wonderful weekend w/ DBF - BUT I did HORRIBLE eating wise. I still worked out - but it doesn't do muich when I ate McD's 2ce, Pizza (4 slices!), Big Johns and drank! I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm seriously up 10.5 pounds!!!!!!!!!! AHHHH!!! I know that a lot of it is water weight TOM is supposed to vist soon. I'm not changing any tickers until my offical weigh in on Friday - I'm expecting that I'll lose a lot of the water and hopefully some fat by then! I'm also increasing the workouts and decreasing the calories - at least for this week.
I know there's no way I'm going to hit my Turkey day goal - not with this bad of a mess up.. but there's still hope for Christmas. #170 by Christmas... that's the goal. I'll re assess on Friday w/ my *Actual* weigh in. |
