Yesterday was not my best day either. I split a sub with my DH on the way to our son's football game. Even when you are sharing, if you eat as much as your over 6 ft, over 200lb DH that can't be good. :( Then I had a beer last night while I parked my butt in front of the TV to watch Dancing with the Stars. Oh well, today's a new day.

MyOwnSaboteur 09-25-2007 07:46 AM

Hi Ladies,

Sorry to those for you who are having a bit of a struggle.......pull up those boot straps and get yourself back on track, you know how good you feel when you do!!!

I too watched Dancing with the Stars last night and thought Len was too hard on the poor model girl, she tried hard and didn't look THAT bad but then I am no ballroom dancing judge, I just think he could have been abit nicer on her first time out.

mothermavis, half a sub doesn't sound so bad to me, I am sure your husband could have polished off a lot more then that. Now the beer, lol, you could have done with out you naughty girl you :)

Okay I gotta run, I can't wait to weigh in on Saturday and still trying to figure out when I can exercise *shrugs*

Have a successful day chicks!!!

okay....today didn't start off the way i had hoped. I walked 2 miles at the gym yesterday, got in over my 8 glasses of water, ate what i think was a sensible dinner of homemade veggie soup and weighed in at 146.4 this morning. Now...that is better than the day before when i weighed in at 147 but still....not my 144 or even my faithful 145!! So today, i am still trying to make sure i get in my 8 glasses of water, i did eat a sensible breakfast of an egg white omelet with fat free cheese. For lunch we ordered out. I got a salad with honey ginger dressing and a pint of clam chowder. I did NOT mean to get a whole pint. I ordered a half pint but she rung up a whole pint. But it's okay. I am just taking a little off the top and told my ex i'd bring him the rest. So i am not even eating half of it. Okay...so my WEED today...

W- 8 glasses (or more)
E- eat healthy foods
E- go to gym tonight and either do step class or work out with weights.
D- if i mess up today, there is always tomorrow...but always try your best!!!

hey ladies! so im just gonna jump in here, although im a bit late :D i am going to lose 15 lbs by christmas, i figure in the time allotted, thats a good attainable goal.

i just started counting calories last week (not ver diligent though). and ive started working out again. which feels GREAT! i have to say, the best invention known to man is the t.v. built onto the elipticall at the gym that i just plug my headphones into. before i knew it, i had been on there for 46 minutes! the longest i could ever stay on there before was 25 minutes (im pretty add when it comes to the gym). but, right now my schedule at work is perfect for coming home, letting my dog out, playing with him for a minute then hitting the gym and being able to come and make a good dinner (im off at 230 in the afternoon). so that has me pretty excited about being able to stay on target...

ok, enough rambling, hope everyone had a great day!

Welcome Crystal!!!

Alright guys, I'm in need of some support. Since I went to the beach a week and a halg ago I have been WAY off track. I've exercised opnce since coming home and I've eaten pretty much anything I've wanted. At this rate I won't be making my Christmas goal. I don't know what is going on with me, it's like I lost all my motiviation.

ShyShy19 09-25-2007 07:49 PM

I also gained a pound an a half. GRRR

MyOwnSaboteur 09-26-2007 07:53 AM

Okay ShyShy, first thing don't get down or be to hard on yourself, we all get off track at some point or other. It's a new day promise yourself to do better. Go get that glass of water and start chugging, do you have any motivational pictures that you can hang up in the kitchen on the cupboards and frig to remind you what you are working towards when you are going for the food.

My friend would always tell my that no food tastes as good as being thin feels and this is so very true.

Make a meal plan the night before so you aren't going through the cupboards looking for something to eat and make a bad choice.

One woman I know, everytime she craved or thought of a bad food she would get down and do 25 tummy crunches, lol, that really help her stay away from the food and in the end she had amazing abs!!

Don't make excuses get yourself back on track the further you get off the harder it can be to get back.

I will check back tonight and I want to hear some good things, no one can do this for you, you CAN DO IT!! YOU HAVE IT IN YOU!!! YOU ARE A STRONG AND IN CONTROL WOMAN!!! Don't make me give you a virtual butt kicking!

mothermavis 09-26-2007 08:51 AM

ShyShy, It's ok to fall off, you just have to get back on. C'mon, we can all do this together!

Everybody!! Today is a brand new day. What are you doing today to make your dreams come true?

I ate a healthy breakfast of yogurt and high-protein granola. Right now I am going to do an upper body video. I want tank top arms!!

Welcome Crystal!!

ShyShy19 09-26-2007 11:42 AM

Good morning ladies, it's 8:43 here in Cali and I just crawled out of bed, thank you so much for the support, I cannot tell you how much it truly does help. So I havn't eaten yet, I'm going to start chugging back the water today and for breakfast I think I'll have some yogurt and fruit. I'll be back here later. I'm also going to go around online and through my magazines to find some thinspiration photos. Love you all, have a great day.

Crystal0103 09-26-2007 04:37 PM

just starting out with drinking more water again will help a lot! thats a struggle for me b/c i loooove my pop. just think about how awesome you are going to feel after working out, especially since you haven't in about a week. come on lady, time to throw off this last week, and start over! :D

amdak 09-26-2007 06:52 PM

Hey there all:

Joining you late in the game. I hope to lose 20 lbs by Christmas. I've been averaging 10 lbs a month, so I hope it continues. Looking forward to breaking the 30 BMI mark.

Some days are just so much harder than others, but everyday is a brand new day. Today has been really hard for me. I've been hungry all day. Luckily I'm at work and options are very limited. ;)

ShyShy19 09-26-2007 06:55 PM

Well so far so good today. I'm actually pretty proud of myself.

B: 1 cup yogurt & 1 banana
S: 1 bag of 100 cal pocorn and about 10 cashews
L: 1/2 can of progresso 100 cal soup
W: about 40 oz so far
E: 30 of aerobics (spelling?)

Well I'm off to get some hose work done, hope all is well with everyone today and thanks for helping me get back on track.

BTW: I made myself a little power point presentation of thinspiration pics and quotes, it's very motivational and it was fun to make. Now I have something to look at when I feel like giving up.

ShyShy19 09-26-2007 06:57 PM

Welcome amdak!
Wow 10 lbs a month? Thats great! Are you following a system or routine?
Well its nice having you here!

amdak 09-26-2007 07:24 PM

Hi ShyShy

No system or routine really. I refuse to think of mysellf on a diet :dizzy: (although I have stopped eating some foods). I just set myself a couple of rulles: 1. If it doesn't taste really good, I'm not going to eat it; 2. I can have whatever I want (but if it's not good for me, just a bite or two); 3. I try to eat more fruits and veggies; 4. Is there a healthy alternative?

That, and my DH bought be a treadmil with a built in t.v. So, I can only watch junk t.v if I'm on the treadmill.

Seem's to be working for me.

I think the key (after years of trying different diets), IMHO, is to find what works for you and what you can live with for the rest of your life. It's taken me years. I really think I've got it nailed this time. I guess I'll find out in February (which, according to my calculations is when I should reach my goal weight).

Keep up all the hard work everyone! YOU CAN DO IT!!!;)

ShyShy19 09-27-2007 01:07 AM

well the day was good till dinner then I had chinese, not a whole lot but too much. I still think I was ok for my total calorie intake for the day.
