Getting on Board

Hello ladies, checking to see if there is room for one more. I want to loose at least 10 lbs by my birthday 11/2, and another 15 lbs by Christmas. Kicking off in high gear tomorrow. These goals seem realistic enough, I hope I can stick to it.

ShyShy19 10-02-2007 02:01 PM

Amdak: I know whatcha mean about slipping into old habits, I do it too from time to time. Kepp reminding yourself every single day what you want, health, a nice body, to be able to run 3 miles non-stop, whatever it may be. This helps me stay on track. Weekends are really hard, I actually had a talk with my honey last night asking him to please not tempt me with unhealthy food, told him he could eat whatever he wanted I just don't want him bringing it into the house. He agreed so I think with his support weekend should be better then have been here lately. Also when you eat out most menus have a weight watchers or low cal section so try as hard as you can to choose something from there. I personally have a hard time with that one.

MissVee: Welcome!!! Ther's always room for more. Your goals sound great and very reachable. Stay around here for support and I'm sure you'll be able to stick to it.

Well ladies I'm proud of myself I've been doing really well the past few days with my eating and exercising. I thought would never lose those 2 pounds I had gained back, but I did I am back at 153 now and I cant wait to see 152.
My honey has been going for walks with me at night for the last couple nights and I reall enjoy it, I hope it continues.
Well ladies I hope you're all having a great week so far!!!

ShyShy19 10-02-2007 09:34 PM

My goodness ladies, where ya guys at?
There are only a couple of us who still check in regularly.

dream710 10-03-2007 09:35 AM

I'm here..Last week I didn't lose anything, so I'm working hard this week to make up for it. I'm sure it had to do with the fact that I ate out 3x's and had more alcoholic drinks than I should of. On Monday I was so excited I jogged for 25 minutes straight, which is a major accomplishment for me and I'm looking forward to making it to 30 minutes.

ShyShy: great job on losing the 2lbs. It's nice to see your honey is getting involved in the new fit you...could he talk to my husband...that would be great ;)

MissVee: welcome, you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.

Admak: It's good that you had that feeling of not wanting to go back to your old self, it shows commitment. Even though you slipped, which we all do, your back on the wagon. Just remember that we are all here to cheer you on to accomplish your goals. So instead of reaching for that food, jump on the computer and start posting...it really does help..

Well ladies, I best get my behind in the shower...otherwise I'll be late for work. Have a great day.

Bridgette.

Good morning ladies, this is a happy morning for me, ya know how I said that I had lost the 2 lbs I had gained and I was back down to 153 well as of those morning I am 152!!! YAY!!! Now I can't wait to see 150.
Somewhere I saw that my ideal body weight should be between 115 and 129, I can't believe I had let myself get to 160. Well its all down from here for all of us now.

Well I didn't do tae-bo yesterday and my honey was tired when he got home so we didn't walk, so I should definatly get off this computer right now and go work out.

Dream- I never lose anything when I eat out either so we cut down on that alot, I go to Subway quite often now, I get the veggie delight (all veggies) no mayo just the vinegar, salt and pepper, it tastes so yummy to me that I forget I'm not eating any meat or cheese. BTW 25 minutes of jogging non-stop? Thats great! I can't even go 2 minutes, lol. My honey is a good runner so I'm hoping he'll start helping me with it.

Well everyone just remember to turn here instead of the refrigerator when you need support. bye!!!

mothermavis 10-04-2007 12:26 AM

I have been awful!! Hand to mouth tonight.

I am rethinking my goals a little, I need the positive reinforcement of making a goal for motivation, so I sat down to decide what I can realistically reach and I decided I am going for 10% of my body weight by Christmas/New Year's. That will be 16 lbs.

Focus!

lumifan4ever 10-04-2007 12:13 PM

Mothermavis...I think that sounds like a great goal!!! Definatley sounds do-able.

Shyshy...yay on the subway. sounds deliciouse!! That would be great if hubby could help you out on the running!!

MissVee....yes yes...welcome aboard. There is always room here for one more.

Dream...wow!!! 25 minutes running!! IMPRESSIVE!!! I agree with shyshy...I can only do like 2 minutes and then i am huffing and puffing so hard, i almost can't breath!!! Way to go!!

As for me...well...i have not being doing so well. Not so bad, but just not so well. Eating has been a little off. I saw my weight go up a couple of days, but thankfully with getting myself properly hydrated, my weight is back down to normal. No loss for me though. I don't expect one by tomorrow either. But it is all okay. Going to be getting back on track again. Going grocery shopping this weekend and stocking up on all the good, healthy foods i normally eat. Muscles hasn't been coming to the gym this past week either to help me weight train on the machines. He's been trying out a 10 day pass at a gym his friend joined and working out with him. Hopefully this next week he'll be back at our Y and he can help me get back on track.

Anyways, I'm going to try to keep reading and posting. Work has just had me kind of busy lately but maybe a lull is coming up. Keep up the good work girls!!!

ShyShy19 10-04-2007 12:50 PM

mothermavis- I think thats a great goal and very doable.
lumifan4ever- seems like alot of us have been getting to that little bump in the road here lately, what's important is that you havn't let it get to you and you're still on the right track.

Well I was a bit disspaointed this morning. The scale said 153 again. I did really good yesterday until dinner and I totally binged. I was so full and pretty mad about it. I knew I wouldn't see the 152 in the morning but I decided that it wasn't that big of a deal and today I plan to workout extra hard today so that 152 will wanna come back.

See yall later!

LisaMarie71 10-04-2007 10:53 PM

Hey everyone!! I've been doing really well with my eating, mostly because it's been such a busy week that I didn't even have time to overeat if I wanted to!! Unfortunately I couldn't run today or yesterday and can't do it tomorrow, but I'll try to get quite a few miles in this weekend.

I reached my goal of 165 yesterday, so I'm pretty happy about that! I still want to hit 155 by Christmas if I can, though!! I think I can do it! I'm pretty motivated right now!

mothermavis 10-05-2007 09:16 AM

Lisa, :congrat: You met your goal!! That rocks! Good luck with your Christmas goal too. Of course you can do it!!

Alcysmom 10-05-2007 10:12 AM

Hey gals! Seems I must jump in with the challenge as well. This is my first week on WW. I have 11 weeks til Christmas so I am setting my goal for 15 pounds. That would take off the pounds I gained after I quit smoking and put me back at my before baby weight which is STILL too much!

I may need some pushing and tuff love!

lumifan4ever 10-05-2007 10:31 AM

Hi Alcysmom!!! Welcome aboard!! Congrats on joining WW!!! I think you can lose 15 by christmas.

Well...looks like I am okay this week. I didn't lose a pound but at least i am back down to 143. So that was a relief. Now if only i can keep that up thru the weekend and hopefully lose one by next friday!!!

W- 8 glasses of water
E- walking downtown tonight probably for at least 2 hours
E- 1200-1300 calories
D- just keep trying...never stop trying!!!

practiceliving 10-05-2007 02:14 PM

Hey ladies - glad to see you're all doing well with the challenge! All these new faces, too!

I'm chugging along slowly. I was doing well for a while, then had a couple bad weeks. Things are slowly getting sorted out with my health, though, so I'm optimistic about my goal. The doctor is trying me on a drug (dexedrine) for two weeks to see if that helps the fatigue and assorted issues - had my first dose today and I'm feeling great so far!

ShyShy19 10-05-2007 02:40 PM

Lisamarie YAY FOR 165!!! You can totally reach 155 by christmas.

Welcome Alycesmom! 15lbs is a great goal, we'll give ya all the pushing you can stand, lol jk.

lumifan4ever- congrats on getting back to 143. If you eat good over the weekend I'm sure you'll lose another lb by next Friday.

Practiceliving- So glad you are feeling better. Just stick around here and we'll keep ya motivated.

Well ladies I think this week has been really good for my eating, exercising could have been better. I'm a little worried about my christmas goal. At the rate I've been going I doubt I can lose another 17 lbs by Christmas. With a sad heart I may have to change the goal to something I feel I can do. I really don't want to though.

lumifan4ever 10-05-2007 04:07 PM

i know what you mean shyshy. I too may have to change my christmas goal. At the rate i'm going, if i lose a pound a week or 5 pounds a month, i won't be able to lose but down to about 129. But, all in all, i'm pretty cool with that. As long as i keep going down...not up!!
