Happy Halloween everyone! I finally had to give in and actually buy the halloween candy for the trick or treaters yesterday. I waited until the last minute b/c it is so easy to eat it if it's in the house. I am holding steady at 162 right now, and I even "treated" myself to some junior mints yesterday. I am hoping to get back on track and start losing again soon. My Thanksgiving goal is to be at 155. I hope you are all doing well. Welcome to some of the newbies. Please don't hesitate to ask if you need anything along the way. Chat soon, and have a spooktacular day!!!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE!!!
Welcome to the new ladies. I read through the goals and the all sound great. It sounds like you're doing pretty good Staffingchick and thats great that you're getting back on the horse. Ladies I was bad bad bad yesterday. I ate all kinds of bad stuff and actually went over 2000 calories, due to the double chesseburgers my husband just had to bring home, and my inability to deny food once it's in my face. That just means that in no way will I be allowed any halloween candy today or the ghost cupcakes my son and I are going to make. Just to make sure I don't give into the real thing I bought I bag of sugar free low cal candy for myself. Hope everyone aq strong and positive Halloween. THIS IS THE LAST YEAR I'LL BE GOING AS A FAT CHICK! |
Hi everyone
I can totally identify with the sentiment "don't load up the house with the yummy chocolate bars until the last possible minute in order to avoid temptation". I did the same thing and just got all the junk today. I swear that once it looks like the trick or treaters are dwindling off I'll be putting 2-3-5 or more candies in their bag...whatever it takes to make sure there are no leftovers!!! And what is up with the double cheese burger husband...God Bless them they just don't get it sometimes do they...today I came home from driving the kids to school and what is my husband making.......HOMEMADE WAFFLES fried ham and eggs!!! I told him that he was absolutely making me crazy with the temptation but he said it was early in the day and surely I had enough points left over to indulge in just one!! He always says he loves me, curves and all - of course he is super fit and a really nice guy so he would say that! UGGGH! I want to be sexy by my definition! anyway...have a safe Halloween. |
hey ladies, so far so good today, but I havn't taken my son out to trick or treat tey so we'll see how it goes. I did a little aerobics and a walk/jog this morning and boy did it feel good, since I havn't done any exercise in quite some time. Talk to you all tomorrow.

just when things were going well i get TOM which means i have no idea how im doing because the scales show an annoying plus.
i have a busy day today, probs about 6 miles of walking and 5 hours of heavy learning in uni, maybe that will help get some weight moving a bit....lets hope so anyway. i have a wedding on the weekend, and im very excited because i get to were my gorgeous dress i bought when i was 6-8lbs heavier so although its a loose fit dress, ill still fell better in it if im still 6-8lbs lighter inside :-) have a good day ladies. |
Well ladies I'm so glad that Halloween is over. We didn't have a single trick or treater so now I'm stuck with all this candy of which I've already ate my share and then some,so I'm gonna take it to work and let the guys eat it. My DD decided she wanted to be a magician. So went got all dressed up and went to the civic center. The local churches put together all kinds of games for the kids to play and hand out tons of candy, pop, and chips. They also had the inflatable bouncers and slides. Anyways, today I'm back on track with healthy eating, I've strayed from recording eating/exercising habits on fitday, and I'm not holding myself accountable for what I'm putting in my mouth. I've got my exercise in for the day so we're off to a good start.
Everyone have a great day. |
I second that dream, I'm gald halloween is over. My son looked soooo cute as captain Jack Sparrow, he didn't feel all that well so he only went to about 4 houses, which didn't bother me non, neither one of us need that juck in the house. I think I did ok yesterday. I did mess up and eat a cupcake and 1 peice of candy but I still managed to keep my day under 1300 cals.
Hope everyone had a great night last night and is ready for a fresh start in the month of November! |
So here's how Halloween went for me.
I bought 255 chocolate bars to hand out...that was gone by about 7:30. I went to the cupboard and I had just bought a case of 40 koolaid jammers, so we started to hand those out, they were gone by 8:00... I had also bought a case of individual apple sauce snacks...and we handed out another 15 or so of those!!! OVER 300 trick or treaters!!! and no I don't live near any apartment buildings so I don't know where they all came from but I'm glad they did! The good news is that there are no more of those nasty tempting chocolate bars in the house Yea! |
As usual, I WAY overbought on the Halloween candy because I'm always afraid I'm going to run out. So... of course, I only get about 10 kids. And I was left with 3 bags of candy! My thin, athletic, in shape hubby helped me out though and dove face first into the Nestle Crunch bars! :) And the rest I took to work today. Didn't leave a single piece in this house. The PMS monster has a strong grip on me right now and I know I'd strap on the feed bag and chow down on some chocolate! Not a pretty sight, believe me.
Walked on the treadmill when I got home from work, so I feel good about that. We have a manual treadmill - not a powered one so I have to work a lot harder to keep the tread rolling. It actually feels like twice as hard a workout than on an automatic treadmill. So that's a good thing! Off to have my evening cup of tea and relax. My favorite tea hit the stores today - it's a holiday tea from Celestial Seasonings called "Candy Cane Lane". It's peppermint and vanilla tea. It is so smooth and so lovely with a packet of Splenda. It's a nice treat! Hope everyone has a great evening and an even better tomorrow! Anne |
I'm IN!!! I made the ticker ealier today! I want to be down to #170 by Christmas - 19 more togo! It'll be a good challenge for me - #9.5 in Novemeber, and another #9.5 in December! I'm Excited!

krzwife- way to go on not eating the chocolate and getting the exercise in. BTW that tea sounds sooo god. I'll definatly look for it next time I'm at the store.
Enygirl- Welcome. Your goals sound great. I wish I could set mine that high. I've never been able to lose 2lbs or more in a week. Well ladies I've been doing alright I guess. I'm still just over 152, whicj is huge bummer, falling off the wagon for that little bit of time really did it's damage. I had reached 152 about 3 weeks ago, and I've been trying since then to see it again. I'm almost there. Then I have to see how much more I can lose by Christmas time. I feel confident about the eating part it's the exercise thats always such a pain in the a$$. It takes soo much convincing to get me moving. Well Hope you ladies are having a great Friday, and hope you all have a strong weekend. |
I wish that Christmas shopping counted as exercise! :) I went out Sunday morning and got almost everything for DD bought and wrapped! It was a lot of fun - and I really enjoyed the alone time!
Saturday was a HUGE challenge. We went to BF's mom's for the Michigan vs. Michigan State game - and there was an abundance of food! Everywhere I turned someone was offering me something.. and I swear the cookies are still mad at me for not gobbling them up! That's right I stayed strong for once! (well as strong as I could). I'm looking at my food log from that day, and I realized that although I knew I could have done better - it could have been MUCH worse! My vote - football parties and buffets should be outlawed!!!! |
YAY a loss, i got 5lbs loss on saturday, which means im now down to 188 and only 6lbs to go till christmas. yay
|
Enygirl- Great job on resisting those cookies, I probably wouldn't have been able to. Now we just need to start planning for thanksgiving, EEEK!
Freethetoys- WOOHOO!!! Congrats on the 5lb loss!!! How long did it take you to lose it? Wow thats awsome that you only have 6 lbs to go for your christmas goal, I'm still pretty far from mine. Well ladies, I had a really bad weekend as far as food goes, I ate all kinds of bad stuff, I don't even wanna list it all, I thought I'd wake up today with at least a 1lb gain, but I actually lost a couple oz, not sure how that happened but I'm glad it did. Well today I'm right back on track, just got done doing a brisk 3 mile walk, fitday says 3 miles only burns 175 calories. I was hoping for a bit more but oh well. Hope everyones week is kicking off to a great start. BTW there's a valentines day challenge now that I just joined, you all should come on over there too with your next goal! |
What is up???
Everyone just forget about the challenge? |
