Smile Chicks in Control, September Exercise!

Hey, all!

Challenge yourself to a little more exercise than you did last month. (for some of us, that's not a lot)
Take a few minutes, get out of your chair, and move it!!

This month... I'm joining the gym again. And I'm committing to using my (finally blown up) new exercise ball 3-4 times a week, plus some running.

Come and join us!

Ok, I am in....

Challenge for September: doing the Live better- Core Performance workout three times a week. And running two times a week.

I did my workout this morning, so I finished my exercise week!!

Hey, ellis, I am having fun (* *) with my new exercie ball as well. The funniest thing is to blow it up....I really checked which size I have to use, but mine seems so...small. Maybe itīs because it has to carry so much weight...It clearly looks different with me than it looks in the exercise ball manual.

i'm getting back into exercise this month as well. my DS bought a home gym off a friend and now it is staring at me every time i go to the garage. there are a lot of exercises you can do on it. my sis and i started an exercise program with it yesterday. 3x a week on the home gym and stepper. we madit sort of like a circuit training thing and it takes about 30mins to complete 2 circuits. we'll add on as we need to.

i now have almost no excuse NOT to exercise, if i say i didn't exercise please feel free to remind me to take the 20 steps out to the garage and sweat a little!!

great goals kate and ellis!! let's make this a good month!

We can all do this so lets get moving

Kate, my exercise ball seems really small, too. I used to have a bigger one, but apparently this one holds about 2000 pounds or something, so I figure it's safer.
It's pink. I did some sit-ups and things on it the other night. I'm going to do them again today...

Jodi, that's great that you're exercising with your sister!
We have one of those machines, too. It's in pieces in our attic.
Yes, I will send you reminders.

Coffee first, then exercising...

Well, Ellis, I like your idea of challenging myself to exercise more.
I commit to going to the gym (last time was 5 months ago!) once a week. Let's see if I can get into their routine again...
Walked 4 miles this morning. Will do weights in a minute.
Did not exercise for three days and was bingeing for three days...
OK it's over, back on track!

Cheez, _knot, you're amazing!!

Well... I'm a little embarrassed to say this now... ... I got on my exercise bike yesterday (first time in months) and did 10 minutes. I was feeling very proud of myself until I read _knot's post...

So... how is everyone else doing?

Thumbs up Getting In Gear For September!

I so admire all of you who are completing multiple miles of running at a stretch. I've been working on it, and the results have been nothing short of wonderful, but I've still got a long way to go yet! Reading all the posts at 3FC and seeing the pictures is such encouragement and inspiration.

Right now I'm lucky enough to live within walking/biking distance to work, so my plans are to begin power-walking there and back (on a consistent basis), and gradually building up to making the trip running or jogging. With a high-intensity power walk, it takes about 50 minutes. If I can increase my endurance level enough to eventually run that distance, it'll be an awesome workout indeed!

With that said, here are my goals for the coming week:

- Powerwalk a minimum of 3 days to and from work (50 minutes ea. way)
- Use the treadmill at least twice, for a minimum of 30 minutes
- Consume 6 or more meals of whole or raw, unprocessed, healthy food

Please pray for me and wish me luck, as I will for everyone else on the forum. Will update by week's end with a progress report!

as for me, i'm hoping to get a little bit of yoga or something in today. i'm a little sore from the bike trip.

My goal is to try to fit in 15-30 min of something I like to do everyday. I don't care what it is, my life is really hectic right now so whatever is available I will take.

Friday 1st- 2 hours poolside, two 15 min intervals of water aerobics
Saturday 2nd-1 hour poolside, two 15 min of water aerobics, 10 min dancing by the pool, 10 min dancing in the airport (yes people stared, I love my life all the worlds a stage )

Today I think or maybe after a nap
Miss Chris

Hi, Knot! Thx for the positive encouragement. I'm excited about the upcoming week, and looking forward to marking my entire checklist "Done"!!! Pray for me!

Raw and Whole Foods ... Yep, I've done both. I lost the most weight this year back in Jan - March when I was 100% all Raw. My skin cleared up (adult acne, general blotchiness, itchiness, some dry skin) and was clearer and softer than ever before. I also stopped using commercial soaps and shampoos, and switched to all-natural cleaners (which I still do to this day). My skin did backflips! What a change! Raw Foods also kept me regular and bloat-free. My hair grew faster and was soooo thick and soft. And these are just a few of the changes. I'd always read about the miracles people experienced on raw foods, and it was a welcome change in my life to experience them for myself. Can ya tell that this week I'll be doing mostly raw? *lol*!!!

I'll definintely keep you updated on my progress ... and let me know how the yoga class goes
