Ok, it wasnīt real exercises, but I think it still counts:

Yesterday: 5 hours cutting a hedge (more than 50 metres long, more than 5`4 ft tall)
Today: 1 1/2 hours of reparing a fence
(What a joy living on the country side....)

I think Iīll do some exercises this evening because my back and my shoulders are hurting and maybe I get some relief

Good job everyone!!

Kate, you could of cut 1/2 or even 1/4 of the hedge. I know with me it is the compulsive personailty, I would of done it all too A good way to keep away from the food but hard on the body.

Way to go with the exercise Kate. Donna and Harpo

Ahh, you got me! It was a mix between my all- or- nothing mentality and the thought "When i donīt finish it today, Iīll have to carry all that stuff to the hedge again tomorrow, lend the extension cable....."
But there is still a small piece of hedge left- but it stays un- cutted until the weather is better here.

Ok, I have a question for all you runner and walker outthere: I have a huge problem with insects while running. Craneflys, wesp...all around me. I tried to run when itīs not so hot, but it wasnīt really better. Anyone a idea what to do?? Long trouser and T- Shirt?

kate-sorry I can't really help you...I don't exercise much outside cause I can't stand to heat...and here in Texas it's hot and muggy....I only try jogging in the winter time....Have you tried any sprays like "off"

I haven't worked out since sunday...I pushed myself so hard last time that I've been sore for days...I'm going to go to the gym today though

Do you have Off! in Germany? I use it when I go somewhere where there are a lot of bugs. It should keep them away from you. Use Off! Deep woods because your bugs sound big & creepy. I actually don't see any bugs when I'm walking. The bugs haven't been bad this year because we haven't seen much rain.

If you don't have Off!, I'm sure you have some other bug repellent. Make sure you aren't wearing eating fruit before either because you might smell like it and attract the bugs more.

Hi everybody!

Well, unfortunately we donīt have Off! here in Germany- sad, because the name sounds like the product would work....We have quite a similar product, itīs called Autan. But itīs not working for me.
You know, I had a horse for years. And there was always the same problem with keeping the insects away.
There are a lot of biting little thingys outthere at the moment. And the LOVE me!

I did 30min running and walking today. But the weather is still awful here. I am feeling dizzy and I not able to do much.

Kate,

Can you get avon products? There is one, called "skin so soft" that really helps keep the bugs off of me. It also helped keep my former doggie flea free!

Sorry to hear you're not feeling great! I posted in the binge-free thread, asking you if you were getting enough water?

Congrats on keeping up with the exercise! Especially considering the lousy weather and the lousy bugs! You are inspiring me to start again on my dreadmill!

4.7 K walking

Way to go Donna and Kate.

Kate be sure your not wearing any perfume or sweet or flower smelling deodorant while your outside. We get a few mosquitoes but not many because they spray the streets here in the summer to keep the bug population down. We we go camping in the mountains we use Off.
