The last time I did any official exercise was Wednesday. That is sad!

I slept through my alarm this morning. My family has me so exhausted. So I did my first outside run today at lunch. It is much harder than the treadmill. I am a big, sweaty red mess. And it feels awesome!

I have called my MIL (she watches my daughter) and made up a story about why I will be 25 minutes late, this way I can stop at the gym on the way home and get my strength training in. It is sad that stopping at the drug store or grocery store is acceptable but being late for the gym is not.

Hopefully some of the new ladies will be goining me here in the exercise thread!

I got up at 5am to get to the gym and do my upper body strength training. I did not get up early enough to get my run in, so I will have to do that today at lunch.

eta: I did a 33 minute bike ride instead. I was so excited when I saw today was XT (Crosstrain) day on my schedule. I miss my bike!

I am getting lonely in here......

Yay me! I dragged my butt out of bed early enough this morning to do both my strength training (legs) and running (20 minutes). I also tried to do the stretching included in my training booklet but I stink at reading something and trying to figure out what they are talking about.

Tomorrow is a rest day, then Friday I am hoping to get to the gym - but I don't work so I have to get someone to watch the little sherpa.

I just got back from the cottage. Spent HOURS in the water, so I must have burned a few of the many calories I ate while we were up.

20 minutes strength training this morning plus 25 minutes on the treadmill. I am biking to subway for lunch - probably about 20 minutes worth.

25 minutes strength training legs. Today is a cross train day so I will ride my bike 1/2 hour at lunchtime.

I like that little guy.

I did 25 minutes upper body strength training today. I will get in a 20 minute "EZ" run per my training schedule at lunch today.

I did a brisk 20 minute walk yesterday, and chopped and bagged four garden-waste bags of tree branches.

Way to go all of you for every big and little bit that you do for yourselves!

I do my workouts on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. It alternates when there is a long weekend or holiday. In the winter months, I tend to add more exercise in my basement, due to not being as active as in the summer months.

I go to Curves with a friend to get my strength and cardio training, and I love it! In the winter I add some small weight training and the Nordic Track. Now that is a killer machine LOL! It reminds me everytime exactly why I don't cross country ski! We have now added a stationary bike to the basement "gym".

Today being Wednesday, I am off to Curves right after work, and thank goodness my oldest son doesn't have any baseball tonight. His schedule is at least keeping me out of the fridge, unfortunately it is making me eat way to late at night. We are going to clean up the basement this weekend, so we can all get back to extra exercise. This will hopefully counteract the damage being done by eating so late at night. :/

I may not know how to eat right, but I can still exercise!

I got in a 25 minute run at lunch. The half marathon training tomorrow is a 3 mile run. I can't wait!

Hi--would y'all mind if I joined you here on this thread? I have an avoidance issue with exercise that I'm trying to get through and I think I could benefit by this group. I'm starting an 8 week training program on Monday and there's a little flexibility with the workouts and days, but it's pretty much like a beginner's bootcamp for me.

Melra, you jump right in anywhere, hon! We're glad to have you. Good luck with the training program!

Let's see... I did nothing yesterday, but the day before I did some more serious gardening. And I'm planning on starting a walking program on the 29th, and I'm looking forward to it!

Melissa, have a great run today!

Thanks ellis! It was actually 4 miles, not three. It went really well exercise-wise. I did forget my BodyGlide (awesome stuff!) so I had a little chafing and I got the beginning of a blister. But the run was smooth and I didn't want to die afterwards!
