Hey Ellis, good for you for walking! It stinks that your muscles wouldn't cooperate though. I woke up at 2am with my left calf muscle seized or a cramp or something. It was awful. My toes were all curled up and it took forever to work out. Then I went down to the kitchen and had a banana and some milk. I heard both help for muscle spasm type stuff, but I don't know where. I may have made that up.

I've heard that, too, Melissa. Potassium. (sp?) Also, you can cramp up if you're dehydrated. (THAT never happens!)

hey everyone - i think i need to join in on this --

Today:

3 miles around the park - jogging/walking
30 minutes - in the pool doing laps etc. (but its my own pool which doesn't really allow laps so it doesn't count as much really lol)

i'm in a rut right now...

Wow, good for you, QTGRL!!

My leg is still cramped, but I'm thinking of hopping on the treadmill or something for a wee bit. Don't hold your breath.

Hi Ladies,

I believe its Magnesium for cramps in the leg, you might wanna take a calcium pill w/magnesium. When I was on atkins BOY oh BOY did I get them. I took the cal/mag pills and POOF! gone.

Well I danced and ran w/DD for 1/2 hr yesterday, does that count? Did I sweat?
Just thinking about dancing makes me sweat, so the answer is YES (I'm NOT gonna say I had sex like Ellis says)

I skipped the gym again this morning in favor of more sleep. TOM just knocks me out. It is so physically hard to drag my butt out of bed at 4:45am!

Thank goodness I have my bike here at work or I wouldn't get any exercise at all. 1/2 hour on the bike at lunch today. Not good enough, but it will do!

Great job QT and Leenie!

Well, I found some energy yesterday, and bagged a bunch of garden debris, plus did some heavy gardening for a good hour. I'm going to count it as exercise, because with my sluggishness lately, ANY movement is doing me good.

Hey! I posted here yesterday and it appears to be gone. Did I put it somewhere else? Probably.

Yesterday I did 30 minutes lower body strength and 25 minutes on the treadmill. I was not able to ride my bike at lunch due to thunderstorms. I will ride in rain, but not lightening.

Today I did 25 minutes upper body strength training and 20 minutes on the treadmill but I upped the pace quite a bit. Tomorrow is a non strength training day so I will try to run for an hour.

WTG LegallyB & Melissa

I haven't been exercising, actually I've been cleaning a room a night when I get home. I know its not the same thing, but I'm not sitting and thats unusual for me.

Melissa & LegallyB you are such an inspiration !!! please don't stop

Thumbs up

I did manage the treadmill for a full hour today. I ran the entire thing and completed 3.63 miles and burned 343 calories on at 16:30 mile pace. I need to speed things up a bit, but I'll just keep working on that as I go.

Rode my bike 1/2 hour at lunch today.

This morning I did 25 minutes on the treadmill as instructed with my training materials. I don't like how easy this training is. I need more exercise!

(Who is this weird person? A year ago I would have *died* rather than run on the treadmill for 5 minutes!!)

Good morning! I did lower body strength training for about 25 minutes, then 25 minutes on the treadmill. I kept the pace at 4.0 (a 15 minute mile) for almost the whole thing!

I may ride my bike at lunch. This is the only full day I am working this week, so it will be my only chance.

Melissa, Leenie and I are horribly lazy, (sorry to speak for you, Leenie, but it's true, ain't it?) but I'm seeing my psychiatrist this morning (he's back early!), and I'm hoping to get back on track with my meds so that I can stop lying around and MOVE!!
Anyhow, keep it up, girl! I hope to be with you soon. and then I'll drag Leenie... kicking and screaming... behind me...

Tuesday: 30 minutes stair machine (I slept in until 5am, so I didn't get the strength training in. I hate when I do that)

Wednesday: Up at 4:40 today! I did upper body strength training and 20 minutes on the treadmill, per my training guide. It still feels weird not to do at least 30.
