today i said no to all of the things in the grocery store that were tempting me when i did my shopping. i was out of food because of the circumstances of the last few days, and so really needed to get to the store, but was hungry, a big no-no for shopping, and they had all kinds of special areas set up for the holiday weekend, with all kinds of stuff that is not on my plan. it was rough. but i did it. and i am so relieved. :)

Yesterday ( I know I'm late sorry !! ) I said no to an 8 slice pizza hut pizza. The bosses bought everyone pizza as a reward for beating the budget and getting all the work sent out from the warehouse. I appreciate the thought and all but I declined the pizza. I figured since I eat smaller portions now anyway, I'd only manage a couple of slices and the rest would go to waste.

If they'd have bought several large pizzas and everyone had a couple of slices I would have been tempted and had a piece, but them buying everyone an individual pizza actually helped as I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it.

I've also lost 2lbs this week so I feel good today :D

I like to bake. I said no to baking a desert for the cookout I'm going to today and am baking spinach triangles instead.

I said NO to fried chicken, that I fried for dinner. I wanted a piece so bad, but I know I would have just kept on picking.

I went to a party and didn't have junk food or cake, just a few cherries and some celery.

Yesterday I ate really good all day and had a long workout so I could have a few slices of the pizza I got for my boyfriends cram night for his finals. But one of my favorite meals is pizza and a root beer and I wanted one so bad but I said no! I know its not a huge feat since I still ate pizza but I still didn't drink an empty 200+ calories in soda.:carrot:

Wavy Lay's Chips and French Onion Dip; burger king chicken fries (my son asked if I wanted one and when I said yes, but no, he asked if I wanted just a half and I said no thanks and walked out of the room); a giant pickle (I retain water really easily) and a piece of angel food cake (from a party at work)

:carrot:

Seconds at breakfast. I was going to just have a bowl of fruit, but my roommate at Frosted Mini Wheats on the counter and I didn't want to deny my temptation fully. So, I had (not even) half a serving with a splash a milk and a couple slices on my banana. It was about 3-4 bites and when I was done I rinsed the bowl and sliced the rest of my banana, cut up a small peach, and had that as the rest of my breakfast.
For a minute I REALLY wanted to have a huge bowl, but I was able to contain myself and say "NO, you had a taste, that's all you need"

Great job Tater! I'll sometimes take 10 frosted mini-wheats with me as a snack! I love the crunch and the sweetness!

This past weekend, I said no to the cheese tray at a wedding reception. I've learned that once I've had one, I can't stop...so it's best to only have it in controlled portions!

love2b150 07-08-2010 04:57 PM

I said NO to McD's fries and a frappe, I really started to eat one fry but I know in the real world (my world) there is no such thing as one fry (the kids had fries so that's how I could get just one :))
