  • Awwww, man...what happened to my post? It was a very long post too

Well, no time now. Just popping in to say HELLO and I'm down 1.4 for the week Im also shrinking, lol. Im down with my measurements too.

    ok, later gators
  • Miss Priss, congratulations on your good loss! I've had posts disappear lately, too, on several sites. Perhaps I'm clicking around too fast.

    Yeah! for your shrinking, too.

Am doing my exercise in stages today, instead of so much in the morning. Tried that yesterday, too. Even though I'm indoors more, due to the heat, perhaps it effects everything.

Hope you all are having a splendid day!
  • Hey Silverlife! Thanks and good job with getting your workouts in! I think i forgot to hit submit...arg. I get to much in a hurry sometimes. Love your ticker, its so cute!

Quiet morning here! I'm done with my workout and VERY proud of myself. I did ALL of a high intensity step aerobics dvd! It was the first time i've ever completed the whole thing Burned 585 calories in 55 mins. My step wasn't on any risers but i still got in a great workout!I really love the music in that one. It was Step Blast by Cathe Friedrich.

    Hello to everyone!

I had to share this adorable video, its about a baby goat that gets a little excited. Its SO CUTE.....check it out!

  • Miss Priss, thanks for the kind thoughts! I'm glad you like my ticker. I didn't want to put weight or exercise, and you all are so dear to me.

BigMama, I'm glad you are taking care of making sure you all get good rest. Going to Houston requires being really up to it.

If you're interested in visiting the 50+ forum, we've got a support thread going there.

I'm living a little more slowly in this heat, and making sure I get my rests in.

I wish you all a cool, refreshing afternoon!
  • Quote: silverlife- I always heard that food cravings mean your body needs something, but i thought I just craved ice cream, chocolate and peanut butter because I loved them so much. Thanks so much! That's funny, I was just telling my husband a few days ago that I thought my body was lacking something cause I'm always craving these foods. I know I am low on calcium & magnesium intake everyday, I track my stuff on sparkpeople.

    .
I had never heard of Sparkpeople before, but went there yesterday to check it out after I read this. Wow! What a fantastic site! I am going to start keeping track of what I eat there -- it's so much easier than looking up the calorie counts of foods on Google and adding it up on a scrap of paer. Thanks so much for this info, fruitlady !
  • I wanted to weigh myself this morning, but the batteries were dead in the digital scale. I have to try to remember to ask my husband if we have any more, because I have had a good last couple of days with no slip-ups and want to see if the scale will notice....

Tuesday is my daughter's birthday, and I think she wants to go out to eat at the Chinese buffet -- I love Chinese food but it's impossible to even estimate the calories in it. I may just take a day off from the calorie counting and eat a reasonable amount without overly pigging out, and just start again Wednesday. I read somewhere that it can be good to have an occasional day off to jump start the metabolism or something, as long as you get right back on the diet the next day.
  • Hi Karen you can also check out www.livestrong.com/thedailyplate I personally like it better than spark people. Just my opinion though. Have a great evening.
  • Thanks love2b150, I'll check it out....
  • thank you silverlife, i do try to get the rest i need but sometimes its hard. Well hubby and I did rest today, but its late and i'm still up oh well if I go to bed at 1 and get up by 8 that will be 8 hrs dont need to be at the gym untill 11 oclock for my workout so guess that will be plenty of time. Just hope the scales be nice to me this week sure looking dim tho. Well everyone have a good day and I'll be back tonight to post if I had a good day or not.
  • GoodMorning, all!

KarenBee, I write my food on paper, and use fatsecret.com as well. It's easy to use. I thought it was the least complicated to use of all of them.

BigMama, you're a night owl. I guess we've got all the prayer watches covered, keeping different hours. I know the scales aren't our only helper in keeping track of how we're doing, but they sure are handy. I weigh myself each morning.

I'm really enjoying keeping my food plan. I'm so glad I cut out the other gluten grains. (I'd stopped eating all wheat/spelt and grains in that family a couple of years ago). Am sleeping much more restfully, and many of the aches and other ailments I thought were due to getting older have gone. It's wonderful to found out such things, and then have them work!

Hope you all have a very lovely start this morning!
  • Good Morning Everyone,
I hope you all had a great weekend! I have been OP with my eating and exercise and I am feeling great.
  • Good morning everyone. Well I weighed myself this morning and I was 189.5, I guess that counts as being back in the 180's doesn't it 170's look out here I come. I can't wait.

    Have a great day,
    Wilma
  • Good morning! Looks like everyone is doing so well. YAY! I have been staying on plan and exercising, but I think not eating breakfast is hurting me. I'm more of a coffee drinker in the morning. I got on the scale this morning and I do have a slight loss, but I think if I start eating breakfast it will help move those numbers along.

This is terrible to say, but my kids are driving me up a wall. I am ready for school to start for them.(Not for me though-I'm a teacher and totally not ready to go back yet.) I love them dearly, but they are starting to pick on each other and have been complaining about being bored. I keep telling my daughter that if she is bored, she should read. She just looks at me like I'm nuts and then goes to her room and does a craft. lol. My son will be in kindergarten this year. He is growing up so quickly.

Today, I have my meals planned out and feel good about that. I will be taking the kids to swim at grandma's house. That will keep them happy and tire them out.

    Have a great day!
  • Thanks Silver, I'll check that site as soon as I can -- I gotta hurry and get ready for work --

I just dropped in to say --

    I lost another pound !!! YAY !!!!!!! 171 !!! 2 more pounds and I'll be in the 160's again...I can't wait !!!!
