  • WTG KarenBee! Im right behind you...can't wait to see the 160's

saggzz-My son will be in K this year too! Im so excited for him. My daughter will be in 3rd grade, she can't wait! They do grow up so fast. Im counting down the days until my kids start back,LOL (7 to be exact)

Slim n up- Yay on your weight loss!!!

Hello to everyone that follows and everyone I missed!

Yesterday was a much needed rest day from counting calories, i find that i need to take a mental break from counting at least one day a week. I will mentally keep track of my cals though so its nothing damaging. Ate some pizza for supper and it was so good, even had a cinnamon bun. Im paying for all that today though, already been to the potty three times this morning (i know, TMI).

Today is back on track day and a full body weight workout. Have a great day my CC peeps
  • good morning everyone. I had a restful weekend now ready for another week of workout. That seems to be what I do monday thru friday. Where most are going to work I just head to the gym and spend at least half a day there. Love the water arobics and the sonia. May start back in the weight room too. Hope my calorie counters friends has a good week and good luck with your challenges. Well im still in the 260s cant wait to see what I will look like if I ever reach 150 which is my goal. Long ways to go. But I do plan to get there some day. Smile everyone and God Bless.

  • Amelia---our kids are the same age. My daughter will be in 3rd and my son in kindergarten, however, my kids don't start til later in the month. Your kids must get out of school in May. Mine get out in early June ( depending on if they have to make up snow days or not.)
  • SilverLife I write everything on a spiral notebook that stays on the kitchen island. That way everything that goes in is logged, LOL, no way to forget and when I'm out I make a note on my blackberry. I love myplate but I think I'll check out your site also, to see which one is easier. Where did you get your ticker I like that. Does it tell how long you've been with 3FC?
  • Hi, all! It looks as though you all are taking good care of yourselves!

    Love2b, the ticker is from

    http://daisypath.com/

I used one from the Anniversary and Friendship section.

Yep, I put in "days at 3fc" on mine. Did you forget your reading glasses?

I write all sorts of things on the tablet of paper and only use fatsecret for keeping track of the protein:fat:carb grams and the calories. I'm not int'd in the rest of the site. I looked at livestrong, sparkpeople and something else, which I can't remember, and fatsecret was the easiest to read and the simplest, for me.

    Sending you all happy thoughts!
  • I do declare, you ladies are busy!! I spent the weekend shampooing the carpet because I'm having a birthday party on Saturday. My birthday is actually Friday. So I'm doing well. I only made 9 miles for the month of July but this month will be much better.

Misspriss - You are doing very well. I think a mental break is great and you were still able to enjoy your day "off" but not overdoing it!!! Great Job.
BigMama - You will make that 150 and we will be there together...I'm hoping that's where a size 10 is...LOL
Love2b150 - A spiral notebook on the island...ooo that makes me think of how I would love to be on an island somewhere relaxing.

Well everyone have a fantastic rest of the day and love yourself enough to take care of you today!!
  • Morning!

I started the couch to 5k last night, and I have to say that it's not as bad as I expected. I did ok... although it was strange to be running again. Might I do a 5k in October...?
  • Thanks SilverLife, for the link.

Jiggle LOL, I would love to be on an island also ... without the spiral notebook. Did I read that you got your hair done again? You are as bad as me, LOL, you didn't leave it in long at all. I personally think that 9 miles running is great especially with the heat we've had.

dcapulet, Congratulations on starting C25K, I said I would start and never did.
  • Amelia and Saggzz - I have twin girls who are starting K at the end of the month, I also have a son who will be starting 5th grade.

dcapulet - I am doing the C25K program also. I am not moving up every week, but when I am slowly moving up. I am aiming for a Halloween 5K, it sounds like so much fun!

love2b - you can still start.

BigMamaTexas - I am originally from Houston and I love it there. I have some family in the Woodlands.

JiggleFree - 9 miles is much better than 0 miles!

silverlife - the site looks cool.
  • Hi, all!

Jigglefree, I'll bet you got in two-miles worth shampooing that carpet!
Dcapulet, congrats on your running! I know it does feel a bit odd, at first, to start doing something we haven't done in a while.

    Love2b,

    Envelope:

Ladies, I've noticed that the online calorie totals at the online food diary I use are a bit low. I use fatsecret.com
    Here is how to figure:
Protein is 4 calories per gram.
Carbs are 4 calories per gram.
Fat is 9 calories per gram.

I do my own totals, by hand, and with a calculator. The day's totals are always a bit higher than the online software shows.

    Thought I'd let you know.

Hope you all are staying cool!
  • Good evening everyone. Had a good day at the gym that I had a nap when I got home. I swim 10 laps and did 1 hour of water arobics and 30 min. in the sonia. Thats alot for this 60 yr old. They both have a business down there I know hers is in the woodlands but not sure where my sons business is at. Hope everyone did good today I feel I did. My calories today came to 576 carbs 90 fat 17 protein 28 and jigglefree just maybe a 10 sure hope so I'm along with you on that.

  • LOL envelope you are absolutely right. It's never too late. Wish I had someone here with me to do it with. I like partnering up, just gives me the motivation I need. *** just found an application on crackberry for C25K gives a ton to let you know when to stop and start, may have to purchase that one

  • love2b - I love the ChubbyJones podcast on Itunes (they are free), it is so much easier to have an app or podcast tell you when to start and stop, plus ChubbyJones somehow makes me smile, just when I feel I can not keep going.

bigmamatexas - the Woodlands seem like a great place to raise a family, it is nice that your son and x are able to stay in the same area to co-parent.
  • Hi everyone!

I feel much better today, not so swollen with water. Somehow I lost 4.5 lbs. of water in one day. Wow what a woosh that was! I was in the bathroom all day yesterday and that's fine with me. Had 1235 cal. today and didn't touch anything processed, I think that makes me lose real fast. We'll see what the scale says tomorrow.
