I count calories,not religiously but i don't go past 1500, mostly i eat around 1200
and i ride stationary bike every day (well I've been slacking off last 2 days) for 60 minutes 15-18 mph (25-30 kmh)

my problem is that for example i weight 159 in the morning that day but throughout the day i get to 163-164 and it really bothers me :?: and therefore i don't actually consider myself 159. :(

i just wrote on 'lets' get out of the 160s' that i won't leave that thread till my weight in the middle of the day (not in the morning) gets to 159

but hey, I'm just starting.i gotta keep up. and even if my weight isn't going down I lost 3.1 inches off my waist and i think that's pretty awesome :carrot:

SilverLife 07-26-2010 08:10 AM

BigMama, congratulations on doing so well!

Anexia, congratulations on leaving the 160s!

Wishing you all much success today! :)

Anexia - you can't help what you weigh throughout the day, you gain from eating and drinking. But I know what you mean. I go by my highest weight too, we can be messed up together :p

Bigmama - I'm not one to talk about calorie counting, but I think you are way too low. Really try to get 1200 calories of GOOD food in. Nutrient rich food.

How is everyone this morning? I am doing really good. I am still waking up, in the middle of the night a few times, but atleast now I can fall back to sleep. I have so much more energy than in the first week of CCing and Exercising.

I am up some on my weight this morning, but I am pretty sure it is water weight from eating salted sunflower seeds last night.

I do not have to much planned for the day, elyptical while watching Ellen, grocery store, studying and taking the kids to the pool this evening.

Hi All,
Haven't checked in for a few days! Glad to see most are doing well! To those that are struggling - hang in there!
So far sticking with the once a week weigh in! Weighed in Friday and was up a little like .4 but it was TOM so not too worried.
Leaving on vacation in 2 days to the beach with family - going to NC - which means all the delish fried food I grew up with and, oh the Eastern NC BBQ - anyway will just have to be REALLY careful and make sure I exercise every day! Get to go earlier and stay later than my hubby and kids so that will be an extra bonus! Not that their not awesome but you know a little free time to connect with old friends is good!
Have a great day everybody! Sending good thoughts your way!

Good Morning, Hope everyone had a pleasant weekend

SilverLife it did feel really good to complete, but it wasn't easy. I do 3.5 with ease so that extra .5 shouldn't have been any different. The weather is supposed to be pretty good this week, so maybe if I do it everyday it will get better, I'm sure :) I love my extra pillows too.

Linda, I agree with SilverLife, just do what feels right for you. You'll get it all figured out and adjust accordingly. It's all trial and error. And when we find what works we run with it. That :dust: goes a long way :)

Anexia, oh my goodness ... for 60 minutes 15-18 mph, I gave myself a pat on the back when I did 25 minutes at 5.5mph. LOL. You go Girl!!! 3.1 inches is great. :)

Roxie, Envelope, Westernsoutherngirl

Have a great day EVERYONE

Good morning ladies and gents!

I logged yesterday, and I'm logging again today. I haven't weighed yet, so I don't know how not logging has effected me - I'm guessing I'm standing pat at 165, as I have been forever. I'm determined to lose until Labor Day even if I don't make it to 155. It's the logging that kills me - I don't mind cutting back, I mind having to keep track of it. But, I logged.

Just a quick note, and I'm off to work. Have a great and on-plan day y'all! :carrot:

:D :D :D :D
make sure that your bike lower tension control. when i started 2 weeks ago i would mostly ride 11 mph and had to push myself really hard to get to 14 mph, but now 15 is my lowest limit.
i really like stationary bike, I watch TV during exercising and if I find something very interesting on, that 1 hour passes really fast.:dizzy:

when your doing any type of cardio, it's very important you do it for at least 45minutes because the fat starts melting after 30 mins. so, it's better to do something slow but for a longer period of time :smug:

Thanks Anexia!

jigglefree 07-26-2010 01:41 PM

Hello everyone.
I'm feeling good today...I got my mile run in during lunch. I'm doing well on my calorie counts. I should be able to get my 1400 in by bedtime. I just have to say I'm feeling really good today. With all the unconventional workouts I've been doing I've missed my mile runs. But back on track and will be really back on track next week.

:running: for every mile I run
:running::running::running::running::running:
:running::running:

I should be at 10 before the week is out. I can't wait to see how far I get by labor day.

Have a great day everyone.

Susie Singin' the Blues

I've been in a funk. I'm trying to dig myself out of it. TOM has been around for a week now and I'm sure that's got a lot to do with it. I haven't weighed in 6 days because of TOM, I just don't. I'm OP with calories today for the first time since Thursday. I 've just had the "don't cares."

I hadn't been on 3FC in several days either and that is one reason, I'm sure.

I've got to get back with it and meet my goal! I'll weigh in again on Wednesday morning before we go to Dallas. My baby boy's 2nd birthday is this Thursday and we'll be celebrating there with family.

Summer is hard for me in the weight loss department! I'm getting weary.

love2b150 07-26-2010 04:03 PM

Aw Susie  ... I know about the "don't cares" been there before, hope you feel better soon

fruitlady 07-26-2010 05:54 PM

Silverlife- thanks!

susieyarb- I get the I don't cares about 2 times a week! But, once I start gaining weight from it, I care real quick!

I lost 2 more ounces, not much and I know why. Too much light chocolate peanut butter ice cream I ate after breakfast. 4 servings is way too much, 510 calories. I still stayed with in my calories yesterday, but for some reason, anything dairy makes me gain if I eat too much. Not to mention the extra 240 mg. of sodium. Didn't touch the stuff today! I'm at 1365 cal. and not too hungry. I have found that if I eat a high calorie breakfast( 800 to 1000cal of good healthy food) I'm not hungry during the day and end up eating just a greek yogurt for lunch and a salad w/ chicken for dinner, and I'm good for the rest of the night. Eating after 6:30pm. just makes me gain, so I never eat after dinner.

SilverLife 07-26-2010 06:02 PM

Susieyarb, sending you lots of good thoughts. It feels so grand to live cleanly and know that that brings healthy results. As soon as TOM is gone, you'll be streaming forward again. Hormones can be quite hefty. Take good care of yourself. :)

I'm staying on plan. I want to be sleek and to feel like dancing every day!

Sending you all best thoughts for success! :)
