Awwww Susie - I hate you're feeling like that. Don't let yourself get too weary because it can get the better of you. Keep eating on plan and TOM will be over soon. the feel goods will be back before you know it.:hug:

Call me if you like.:callme:

I'm finally getting back on track after struggling with my husband being on leave then gone again and adjusting to a summer schedule, the puppy, etc. My laptop is going to be down for a while. It looks like the mother board is going to need to be replaced and I'll have to send it back to Dell to have it repaired. So, I'll be stuck sharing the desktop for the foreseeable future. I find it harder to keep up with posts now that I can't read them while relaxing in my chair!
My hubby gets back shortly before this challenge is over. I have a dress I want to fit into for his homecoming, so I am adding that to my goal.
I hope everyone is having a great day!

Holding steady at 165lbs, logged my food like a good little bunny rabbit for the third day in a row, and although I was slightly over calorie goal today (over by 200 cals, which was the amount of shredded wheat I ate right before bed last night so my stomach would STFU and let me sleep - growling growling growling, sheesh), exercise was shockingly on track. I woke up late. Usually exercise on track and woke up late don't go together, but, hey, I'll take the win.

And I have insomnia. Again.

Nothing to do with the drowned-in-devil-sauce veggie burrito (ENORMOUS and only 400 cals) I downed for dinner, noooooooo...

Satan, thy name is spicy food. And my weakness thereunto.
I discovered this food (yes, I am the Christopher Columbus of food) called jalepeno kolaches and oh my, do I enjoy them at 3am when intoxicated. And then the pain begins. At least spice ups the metabolism, or so they say.

Oh, and migas. Migas with jalepenos and hot sauce. Also a late-night favorite.
I'd discuss this with a doctor but I'm sure the doctor would just say "You idiot, if you'd please not consume food as hot as the sun before turning in, you'd sleep better."... Oh, but they ouchy burning sensation in my mouth as I eat is soooo nice...

Stupid hot sauce.

Reading the posts, it looks as though we're all learning what works for us and what doesn't.

Thought I'd see a lower number on the scale this morning, because of my renewed efforts. But, alas! I know the efforts are bringing rewards because I can see them when I look at myself and feel them in the way I move. Those little numbers on the scale....

Staying with my plan, and going forward, and am intending to be able to report a lower number ever so very soon.

Am adding more movement throughout the day to perk up that metabolic rate!

Sending you all good thoughts and wishing you a lovely start today! :)

Labor day challenge

Hi Group - Zinger here.. I'm new to the list. I posted on the intro thread that I wasn't sure where to begin, and someone suggested joining a challenge to get me rolling - so here I am! LOL

My goal between now and September 6 will be to
1. count my carbs and stay below 100 grams per day
2. count sugars and stay below 15 grams per day
3. Write down my eating habits so I can pinpoint what my problems are.
4. continue to ride my bike for exercise at least 3 times a week

I think these goals will lead to a weight loss, and help me meet my long term weight loss goal.

Starting wt 170
Goal Wt 140
Height 5'1"

Can anyone recommend a freen spot or online journal that I can use to track my progress? Is there one on this site?

Thanks a million!
Zinger :)

Zinger 07-27-2010 07:45 AM

Hello Anexia - how do you like the Zumba classes. It looks like so much fun!

do you have to be good at dancing to do this?

Thanks,
Zinger

Good Morning all! I had a great weekend! My grandsons first birthday was Sunday so we had a party/cookout at a local park and I tried not to eat much of the food but it was hard. I am up a pound today from Friday. I dont know if its water retention or the bbq chicken but I am back on track as of yesterday (Monday) I didnt even have a piece of cake so even if I gained a pound.. I am proud of my self that I made a conscious effort not to over eat but I know I didnt eat enough to gain a pound so im hoping its water! Either way.. Its GOING DOWN hahaha!! Hope everyone has a great day!

I have not been making much progress with the scale for the last few days, but I am sure that my efforts are making a difference. I am doing well with my food choices, for the most part, and exercising regularly. I think I stayed up to late last night, since I am dragging a bit this morning...good thing my coffee is almost done.

westernsoutherngirl - Have fun in NC. Ugh, I feel for you TOM really throws my weight off.

thundahthighs - You are doing great with logging.

david - Hope you have a great week.

jigglefree - You are doing great running.

susieyarb - Ihope you are feeling better. Happy 2nd birthday to your son!

fruitlady - I will have to try having a big breakfast sometime, it is just that I never feel like eating too much in the am.

KDM322- you are right we can all do this!

Anexia - zumba sounds like a lot of fun.
I think that OP is 'On Plan'

Zinger - WELCOME!

jensmith72 - Great job at the birthday party.

Good morning. I have been lurking for a few days and wanted to join your group. I am trying to eat around 1500 calories a day and exercise 5 days a week. My goal for labor day is to lose 8 pounds. It's very encouraging to come to this site during the day and see how well everyone is doing.
Thanks!

jensmith72 07-27-2010 09:07 AM

Good Morning saggzz! Im fairly new to this group myself! You came to a great place here. Everyone is so welcoming and helpful!

Thank you Envelope I am waiting on my coffee too :)

westernsoutherngirl 07-27-2010 11:51 AM

Good Morning All! Not off to the best start today. A little bump in the road with DH who is being a dh (if you know what I mean!) but I am moving forward! Already got my cardio in and have a busy day planned for my vacation which starts tomorrow and that leads me to another QUESTION: Do you guys aim to lose on vacation or maintain while on vacation?? Input appreciated!
Have a great day and don't let anybody or anything stand in your way!:hug: to all!

love2b150 07-27-2010 12:12 PM

:welcome: Zinger ... you don't have to know how to dance to do Zumba. Coordination helps though :)

Envelope

:welcome: Saggzz Stay with us and post often. It'll keep you going.

love2b150 07-27-2010 12:18 PM

Westernsoutherngirl, yes I know what you mean. I'm having one of those days also with DH. Don't wanna call him any names yet, hehehe. It's our anniversary so gonna be nice and stay positive :D

Gonna copy you on this one ---> Have a great day and don't let anybody or anything stand in your way!
