I think it would be great! I've got two dvds by TBL. The cardio max and Weight loss yoga, both are pretty intense. Im not familiar with the other ones they have. Yesterday while doing Cardio Max I would get winded and just kinda walk around for a few seconds then join back in. You can also modify some of the moves until you build up your endurance. Good Luck:)

Shylah-I KNOW bob and all his dang lunges...how about the ones when he starts jumping...OMG...and he just keeps talking and i wonder how many of those things i have to do

Today is a circuit workout. Im doing THIS ONE Today (its a youtube preview). I can't wait until tomorrow...i get to take a rest day:p Then there's the much anticipated weigh in day on Sunday Morning. I almost caved in last night. My mom came to visit and brought pizza hut for the kids...it smelled so good and i kept telling my self and doing my 'mental checks' thinking "im not hungry, it just smells good" it worked.

bbl (sorry to babble again...I've had my coffee )

KDM322 07-30-2010 09:54 PM

Well, I was so excited about my weight being down yesterday, that I couldn't keep off the scale today! haha But it's all good bc I was down to 170.6!! YAY! So close to gettin back into the 160s I can taste it! haha I didn't get to exercise yesterday...too busy at work and since I rode w/DH, I had to leave on time and couldn't stay late to do the TM...but, hopefully I'll get it in today before I leave...

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK EVERYONE!!! Have a great weekend!!!

Hi everyone -- I just joined and saw this challenge -- I know I am jumping in a bit late, but there is still 5 1/2 weeks till Labor Day, and I need a challenge, so let's see -- 5 1/2 weeks -- at least a pound a week, hopefully a bit more -- I am currently 174, so let's say I hope to be 167 by Labor Day.

Wow, that's about where I was before I regained a bunch of weight last year (if anyone is interested, see my introduction post in the Introductions forum) -- that would be fantastic --

dcapulet, when does school start there, it's after Labor day here. You'll make it, just keep up the great work. The whole family's going with you when you work out?

Krista, that's great. Have a great weekend! :)

The past two days have been an ice cream disaster for me. So far I gained 2 lbs. and I'm sure it won't stop there. I think I'm addicted, to any flavor I can get my hands on. I hope tomorrow the scale will scare me into not touching the stuff. I feel like crap when I eat processed stuff, now it will take days to get back to normal, I feel so bad I blew being at the weight I loved for the enjoyment of eating crap for 2 days. I feel so weak.

dcapulet 07-30-2010 11:22 PM

love  i'm slowly getting them to eat more veggies, fruits, and do outdoor activities. We all just came in from three hours at the park and a beautiful Culver City sunset! They're picking out goal minutes for exercise in August :)

Fruitlady - you can get through this!

KarenBee, welcome! Nice to have you here! :)

Lori, congrats on the great weight during TOM. That's super!

Fruitlady, am sending you lots of good thoughts. Don't know if this chart would be of any help to you. It lists the foods the cravings are for and what the body really needs. You have the right to live in peace, free of the over-indulging/pressure-to-diet dynamic.

KDM, you'll be in the 160s right quick! Congratulations!

Dcapulet, congratulations on the size 18! Am thinking of you being that sleek 16 now, and sending you lots of good thoughts!

Shylah,

Miss Priss, will you have a sip of that coffee for me? I might drink some decaf with cream in it this week-end and have a short, coffee vacation. I'm not a coffee drinker, but it's nice to have a little splurge and pretend I'm on a holiday.

Love2b,

I'm keeping my plan well. I'm delighted with my new food plan, and it's such a relief to know that I do exercise everyday and give myself short movement refreshments more often, without putting so much pressure on myself to be more athletic than I am actually comfortable with.

Am hoping for a good number on the scale tomorrow.

I wish you all special joy today and much success in making victorious choices! :goodvibes

Thanks for the nice welcome, Silverlife --

Hey, I was looking at that link about food cravings you posted for Fruitlady, and it is VERY interesting -- the first item is chocolate, which is my # 1 thing I always want, and it says that could mean a magnesium deficiency. Well, to make a long story as short as possible --

I had my gall bladder removed in late 2006, (I had no choice, they said it was full of gallstones and self treatment could be dangerous), and have had all kinds of health problems since. Fast forward to this past February.... I started having symptoms of gall bladder trouble again, along with a lot of other symptoms I won't bore you with here. I went to see a naturopathic/ homeopathic doctor, and she said that it was common to get these symptoms after living without a gall bladder, and said I had a magnesium and potassium deficiency. I went home and did a bunch of research online, and found out all kinds of stuff about what happens when you have no gall bladder. The bottom line: I started taking magnesium, potassium, and a few additional supplements in addition to the basic ones I was already taking, and made some changes my diet, and my health turned around completely. I feel better than I have in years, and all the symptoms are gone. And guess what? I don't crave chocolate any more. I treat myself occasionally to a small piece of dark chocolate, but I can live without it, it's not a craving. I had no idea that my chocoholism was a result of a mineral deficiency! Wow!

Thanks again for posting that link -- I am definitely saving that to my Favorites....

SilverLife 07-31-2010 11:48 AM

KarenBee, I'm glad the list is of use to you. Congratulations to you for doing all that research and finding out how to take good care of yourself.

I've known people who had leg cramps, or other cramps, and found magnesium to take them away completely.

I really like your avatar photo. She's grand!

Sending you all good thoughts for a lovely day and much victory! :)
