CC Halloween Challenge

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- It's time for a new Calorie Counters' Holiday Challenge! Everybody did great on the LABOR DAY Challenge. Some of us met our goals, some of us only got partway there, but we all put in a great effort, learned some lessons, made new friends, and supported each other... and that's what these challenges are for. Now, we're ready to set our sights on a new challenge, new goals, and the next 7.5 weeks of this journey! Here's how it works... Set a goal or goals that you would like to reach before HALLOWEEN , OCT 31st, 2009. Your goals can be anything: pounds you want to lose, a smaller clothing size or outfit you'd like to fit into, sports or fitness achievements, or just a goal of keeping food and exercise on track. Whatever gets you excited about working your plan over the summer, is the right goal for this challenge. You can set as many or as few goals as you like. All are welcome! If you're not sure what your goal will be yet, but would like to join up and find some weight loss buddies, get and give support, please jump in, and you can post a goal later, when you think of something. Our main purpose is to motivate each other to keep the food on plan, keep exercising, keep getting leaner, more fit, and healthy. P.s. Ok ~I will go ahead & post some goals.
My goals this challenge is to lose 10 lbs. I am 181.0 today so Goal would be to be 171 or less. WHO KNOWS THAT IS PROBOLY PUSHING IT FOR ME TO LOSE 10 lbs but We will see. ~To make 10's my official new size~Only made it into 1 pair last challenge~The others are still way to tight~ ~Just got an exercise bike today~So I wanna bulid myself up to riding it at least 20 mintues 2 X's a day~By end of challenge...I know that doesn't seem like much~but its a ton to me to add to all my walking and my ab slide. ~Last but not least to have my teeth fixed~I know this is nothing to do with weight whatsoever But It is very important to me and I am suppose to have everything done All next month~I am a chicken of the dentist so I must be strong~I gotta go to 8 appointments to make it happen. So hopefully This goal I make most definetly. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE! |

Hi! I will be starting tomorrow and I would like to lose 10 lbs (I would love to lose 15 to put me in onederland but I am not sure that is realistic)
I would also like to exercise for at last 20 minutes/ 6 days a week. |
Halloween is about 2 months away...SO... I hope I can lose 12 pounds, thus being 175. And lose a dress size, that is to be a size 10!

I'm ready to start a challenge for sure. My starting weight is 353lbs. My goal for Halloween is 330lbs.

i'd like to reach my goal weight-165- i seem to be stuck lately and can't get below 170--and i am really pushing with the exercise and doing well eating-- that's my goal!!!

i'll join in! i'm off to stay with my in-law's the week before halloween and would love to lose a stone (14lbs) before then. i'll have to work hard to get there but a hard goal motivates me more!

To all those who are new ~and to those who Was here for the last challenge~May all you goals Be met ~Or to be closer than you was today is progress also....So No matter what Try~Never give up~And Do your Best. David~I couldn't have said it better~Do your best!:D I just tried my exercise bike earlier ~And rode a whole 5 minutes and was ready to fall over~hahaha~But I walked right before hand for 45 minutes so I will get better at it.It's gonna take alot of hard work to get myself up to 20 minutes 2 x's a day Along with my other stuff ~But I will do the best I can. (good motto David!) |

finally go to the doctor about my bowel movements totally has to do with the weight lose keep going to the gym 6 days a week and keep up my counting! last week i didnt count at all. just stopped. i cant do that! it makes everything else want to stop as well. good luck ladies and gents! lets do our best =D |

I'm in! Right now I'm at 217, for my goal I'll go with 14lbs (~ 2 lbs per week) to put me at 203 or less by halloween.

Lori - thanks for picking up where Jam left off!!! She's has some big shoes to fill, but I think you'll do great :)
My goals: * Concentrate on becoming more consistent with weight training * Run for 20 minutes straight on the treadmill * Be at 185 pounds I am going to focus more on the first two goals because I haven't had the best luck the past couple of challenges when things were solely based on weights. |
I'm going to set a goal of losing 6 lbs which should put me at 147. We shall see.

starting out strong...had a great day yesterday...i feel like i was getting close to the edge of giving up, but then i starting thinking that this isnt really that hard...hope everyone has a great day

I gotta get use to it...I am hoping adding it to my routine will drop those unwanted pounds Alot quicker~time will tell. I quit the ab slide for awhile~Due to sore muscles around my shoulder.I figured I would take a few days off rather than to really hurt myself...I Do not need any doc bills. I walked 45 mintues today Just 1 time but I am doing my other time before GLEE Comes on. I LOVE THAT SHOW! The season actually starts tonight. I watched the one start show a month or 2 ago and laughed so hard I AM GLUED! I hope the other episodes are as good! I usually aint much on musicals but It was hilarious~If anyone gets a chance it's on at 9p.m. tonight~Check it out. Lori - I loved Glee when it was on last spring!!! Sadly, 9pm is too late for me since I get up insanely early for work in the mornings, but I'm hoping to watch it somewhere online tomorrow!!

Cool, I'm glad I get in early enough on this one.
My husband's 20th HS reunion is in the beginning of November, so I would LOVE if I could be in the 160's for that. So that's my goal, at least 12-15 pounds more down by then. Then I will treat myself to my first reward - a new dress :) |
Hi everyone. I'd like in on this challenge as well. I am currently 303 pounds. I would like to be at 285 by Halloween so that's 18 lbs for me, but I'll take more if I can be so lucky.

Hi, I'm a newbie... I would love to join this challenge. I just started my weight loss program and I have high hopes. Halloween is in about 6 weeks or so. I am setting myself up to lose 15 lbs. I hope with support and committment I will reach my goal. Good luck to everyone.

I'm joining too. About 6 weeks until Halloween so my goal is six pounds..which would put me in Onederland,too. I can do it with no cheats and keeping my calories to 1,500 a day max.

Chele~GLEE WAS AWESOME LAST NIGHT! You must Watch it somehow. I hope everyone is off to a good start~I am still at 181 But it's ok cause..... I did however have a bunch of clothes I tried on months ago All different sizes for fun and some of them fit~I was sooooooo amazed....A size 7/8 in capris. & a size 9 jr In jeans. They are not to tight either. I have never worn a single digit size ever that I know of....And most of my 10's are fitting amazingly for some odd reason all of a sudden...My body must be shaping differently.:D I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOO H-A-P-P-Y:D Will type again soon. |
I'll join in! This is the first time I have EVER counted calories. Seems like a real challenge - the good kind :) I'd like to see 10lbs go. Oooohhhhh, I love candy corn!!!

another good day...worked 12 hrs yesterday...hope that trend keeps going...gotta focus on weekends now...thats the difference between a 1 lb loss and a 2 lb loss

I definetly finished pulling my shoulder Or the muscles around it. I feel kinda short of air When I stand a certain way or walk a certain way~It's really giving me a time pulling around my chest also....It does that from time to time....So I gotta take it easy for a few days ~UGH!!! DANG IT!!! I got errands to do tommorrow so hopefully It's a little better after a good nights sleep. HOPE EVERYONES DAY WENT GOOD. |

That would be a loss of 12 pounds. I also want to exercise every day, even if I only can walk on breaks at work. |

I overshot my calorie goal by 300 yesterday. Will do better today. Eating chicken, cottage cheese and salad today. That is the plan!:D |
