Losing4another 09-11-2009 10:03 AM

I love halloween :witch: this should be a fun challenge :ghost:

My goals are to cut out more sugar from my diet and to exercise at least 5 hours a week. I also want to get into the remaining clothes I've had hidden away waiting for me to finally lose enough weight to fit back into. I fit into to most of them now but there are a couple things that are still to tight. I will put my weight goal at losing 12 pounds. That will be 50 lbs lost for me :D Puts me close to ONEderland too but I better not push it ....weight loss comes slower the more I lose :^:

okay enough talking about these goals time to get outside and get started ;)

Good luck everyone!

Lori259 09-11-2009 10:26 AM

chele~so glad you got to see GLEE!!! I agree I can not wait until next week either ~it's a super show.

WELCOME EVERYONE~AND GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR GOALS.

Hi Losing4another~so glad you joined!

In a hurry so Will type again this evening~hope everyone has a super day.

fresno26 09-11-2009 12:36 PM

OK, I'm in! Ten pounds by Halloween! =) I'm at 168.6 on the home scale today...so, come on, high 150's. lol

david 09-11-2009 02:11 PM

another great day, worked 12 hrs last night...wait a minute, that sounds familiar!!! half the crew wont be there tonight so it will be another 12 hrs tonight...i dont see much of it in my paycheck, but when i get my taxes back ill be happy...i hope my wifes not listening, i may even buy a boat

Nella 09-11-2009 02:51 PM

I'll be on my feet working all weekend for my parents business, so hopefully I'll drop a pound or so. I was back up 0.2 this morning, very frustrating. I've been hovering in the same pound for a week.

Hope everyone has a delightful weekend, and David, don't work too hard!

david 09-11-2009 03:59 PM

nella, during the week work is my workout!! now if i could just get the weekend thing going

Hydra 09-11-2009 11:04 PM

I was able to stay on plan today, even though at work we had a big meeting and the food was mainly fatty, salty and sweet and high calorie. I ate fresh fruit with no dip and had one small piece of coffee cake.

babenwaiting 09-12-2009 09:45 AM

Here I come, ready for the Halloween Challenge, if I may! :) So, since that's about seven weeks from now for me, I will go for seven pounds??? I have 12 days of vacation during that time, so anymore than that would be unrealistic for me. So, starting at 220#, I want to weight 213# when the spooky day comes! :p Also cutting down on salt, and getting in some water aerobics and walking at least three days a week ...

1, 2, 3 ... GO!!!

Lori259 09-12-2009 10:44 AM

HYDRA~GREAT JOB!!

Welcome to everyone newly signed up for the challenge.

Fell asleep early last night so Forgot to check back in.

Hope is is going well for everyone.

I got to weigh in still today~I am late getting up~guess I have been sleep deprived LOL!

I made my kids breakfast~Me & my hubby will eat later~Just wasn't ready
yet ~sometimes we eat a little later than the kids do...They got more energy then we do ~LOL

David~A boat? I hope your wife takes that well ~LOL~I Personally love to fish ~but I can not swim so A boat would be a bit scary to me....But maybe you can get one she can enjoy also....Or throw in a little extra and get her something to do while your out in your boat....FAIR IS FAIR~LOL
A FRIENDLY REMINDER:STAY STRONG THIS WEEKEND! (since weekends get to ya sometimes~remember You can do it!)

EVERYONE ELSE~Hope your weekend goes well for y'all too.

chele~Wasn't that "PUSH IT" song A shocker? but hilarious? My mouth dropped Like the crowds did ~AND THEN I LAUGHED SO HARD I NEARLY peed my pants!
GLEE IS DEFINETLY MY NEW HAVE TO WATCH SHOW!

Starzmom 09-12-2009 11:23 AM

Hydra...Good for you staying on plan with all that temptation!

Yesterday I had about 1,700 calories. I'm still a little high. Will do better today!

babenwaiting 09-12-2009 11:38 AM

Hydra, great job with your self-control at the meeting. It is SO HARD when you're with a group of people, most of them munching mindlessly away! I commend you ... :)

Starzmom, I was a little high with my calories as well yesterday. I'm going for 1400 to 1500, and I was a little over 1600! Better luck to both of us today!

david 09-12-2009 01:14 PM

lori the boat is on the back burner right now...after we get a house and the dust settles maybe...back to my true ticker weight...great week!!!

Starzmom 09-12-2009 01:17 PM

babenwaiting..Yes good luck to us! Just had lunch and am at 450 calories. Lots left for later!

Lori259 09-12-2009 03:14 PM

Great JOB On being back to ticker weight~David!
(if you can get a house by next month~You can still get that rebate!!!)

Nella~didn't mean to pass ya up earlier...I have been stuck at weight before too and it so sucks....So I hope you get a new lower number soon~GOODLUCK.

Starzmom~1700 isn't that bad....I am still proud of ya.
we all have some days when we go over a little bit on calories.

babenwaiting~Not to bad at a little over 1600 Either~I wish you both A good calorie day!!!!

I was eating like 3000 to 6000 a day when I learned about calorie counting~LOL~No wonder I was gaining weight so quickly.
SO I am so proud of everyone that has a high calorie day and it is still decently low considering the amount of them we use to eat......HUGS TO ALL ~& AGAIN I AM VERY PROUD OF Y'ALL!

My shoulder/muscle is better~So I gotta get my exercising done....UGH~LOL

Off to browse for a quick second then off to get them beloved exercises done..LOL

Losing4another 09-12-2009 04:09 PM

I got 3 hrs and 15 mintues of exercise in :exercise: I clocked the miles walking in the neighborhood and I'm up to a mile and a half each walk. I took my daughter and she was huffing and puffing 3/4 of the way home  What do the kids do in P.E. these days

Off to start dinner :D

babenwaiting 09-12-2009 09:46 PM

Lori, thanks so much for your support! You're right ... even if we eat a few more calories than our goal, it is a heckuva lot less than the 3000 to 4000 per day I've been eating for awhile now.

Starzmom, I'm bumping 1600 for the day (AGAIN! :dizzy: ) but that's okay ... we're doing great!!!

Losing, great job with your exercise! Keep up the good work!

Hydra 09-13-2009 02:41 AM

Thanks everyone for your support!!!:broc: We had a friend over this afternoon and we ordered chinese delivery. I stuck to steamed rice and veggies and was next time we order I will order off their diet menu selections. I stayed on plan and just under my 1,500 plan for the day.

I purchased some calorie free, gluten free peanut flavored spread and it tastes pretty good. I plan to eat celery and apple slices with it. I also purchase some Ken's lite accent spray salad dressings and had the honey mustard one today. It is roughly 1.5 calories per spray and was very tasty.

I hope everyone is having a good weekend!!!:exercise:

Lori259 09-13-2009 01:35 PM

Losing4another OMG! your an exercising machine! Way to go girl!
Ya know I wonder what they do in P.E. also~I use to be near dead by the end of my P.E. Class Especially when I lived ALABAMA~When I switched from Ohio to Alabama as a kid I felt like I got placed into a military school during Phys ed. LOL! But I eventually got use to it.Then I moved back to Ohio a Few months later so I got back to a slower routine again....But mit was still pretty intense.

babenwaiting ~Your Welcome~ I always think that when I see people type they went over there calorie amounts of a day...And think just do your best and remember the old intake numbers....YOUR DOING FABULOUS BY THE WAY!

Hydra
Way to go On the chinese~The peanut flavored spread sounds so good! I will have to look it up next time I go shopping.

Yesterday was a rough evening ~I heard that
My niece ,Who just had a baby on August 31st, That
yesterday she had a hemmorage (stroke ~Something like that~I am hearing from relatives so Just know it wasn't good at all yesterday~details was a little unclear) And she is like 25 or so.
I was so worried about her....So far today I hear she is doing really good~so please keep her in your prayers everyone~she is such a good girl and this was her first baby. She a niece from my hubby's side and I adore her...I remember when she was like 5 years old...Anyways~it's laundry day ugggghhhh
So I will check back in later or tommorrow.
HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND EVERYONE!!!

David~I hope you did good this weekend!
JUST STAY STRONG~oh and I was thinking after 12 hour days all week~you deserve some rest on the weekends.

Beverlyjoy 09-13-2009 03:55 PM

Hi...I'd like to join in, too. These are my goals:

scale go down
meditate daily
1/2 gallon of water daily
stretches and strengthening 5 times a week
write down food and calories
put fork down between bites (I must slow down)

I'll add more as I think of some.

Thanks!

Losing4another 09-13-2009 06:12 PM

babenwaiting- thanks! My biggest down fall with losing weight was I hate keeping track of calories. I tried just writing down what I ate to be able to guess later without keeping track of calories but that doesn't work very well unless you eat the same thing over and over.

Hydra- great job staying in your calorie range and eating out. I only like two things on the chinese menu and they are both way to high in calories to even think about ordering from there.

Beverlyjoy- welcome..Thats a lot of water ...Are you close to a bathroom all day?

Lori- My dh was born and lived in Ohio until he was 14. I've only been up once to meet his family. I like it up there but it's way to far from my momma here in Florida :D Our PE was pretty relaxed to in school. I moved to FL when I was 9 so I was here for most of those PE years too. Here unless you can keep up with the big kids you sat back or got crushed. My daughter feels the same way. If they did laps or something everyday then all kids would have a fair shot at some real exercise everyday
Got another 45 minutes in today :) Thats 4 hrs! I forgot how much I enjoyed exercise. I really like the gym but with the new tighter budget I've been giving myself a reason not to exercise......There is all kinds of things we can do for free
So sorry to here about your niece. Way to young for those kinds of problems. Thoughts are with her and her family

babenwaiting 09-13-2009 07:31 PM

Lori, your niece is in my thoughts! I am so sorry to hear about her medical problems. She is so young ... (you sometimes hear of strokes in young women on birth control pills but usually not otherwise.) I hope that she is doing better by now, and makes a full recovery! What a lousy thing to happen when she's just had her first baby!

Losing, do you remember being on a thread with me a couple of years ago? I kept thinking ... something seems familiar about Losing! :D So I went back and checked, and I was right! At least, we haven't given up, have we? :p

david 09-13-2009 08:17 PM

bad saturday, great sunday!!!!

babybluess 09-13-2009 08:19 PM

OK....I am up for the challenge!

Weight loss Goal: By October 31st I will lose 13 lbs in celebration of holloween. Starting 210.5 and end in onederland (197.5)!
Fitness Goal: I will go to my exercise class 3 times per week or if for some reason I miss the 5:45AM class, I will make it up at the gym.

babenwaiting 09-13-2009 08:20 PM

David, one out of two is not bad!!! :)

Best of luck and welcome, babybluess! I mean to exercise three times this week as well. Good luck to both of us ...

Nate0201 09-13-2009 08:38 PM

My goal by Halloween will be to lose 20 pounds. So I will be looking for 274.

babenwaiting~ Yes I remember now :dizzy: I was wondering why your name look so familiar even if I have been on this site for a long time  I've been back since Jan of this year. Side tracked a little in between here and there but still here all the same

:welcome: Nate0201 & babybluess

Beverlyjoy 09-13-2009 10:09 PM

I meant to say 1/2 gallon - yes, I'd be 'floating away! :dizzy:

I'll correct that.

Katie816 09-13-2009 10:32 PM

My goals:
Try to cut out cokes completely.
Lose 12lbs to put me at 170lbs.
Do the WATP workouts atleast 5 days a week.

bobsgal 09-13-2009 10:34 PM

Down to 300.6 so a loss of 2.6 lbs this week. 15.6 more to go to make my challenge.

twilight 09-13-2009 10:36 PM

Okay, I'm jumping in here.... My goals are to burn 2400+ calories per day (I measure with a GoWear Fit), and to start using that beautiful, scary Bowflex my husband has set up in the extra bedroom.

I'm excited by these new challenges!:carrot:

babybluess 09-14-2009 07:51 AM

Well....I made it to the first day of my exercise class. ....I almost didn't get there. I have only been to the building in daylight. I first went down the wrong street and had to turn around 3 times. Then I was at the wrong side of the building. It was VERY dark over there. I was about to give up when I decided to try one more place that I thought was an entrance to an appartment building. ...but it wasn't...well it was...but it was also the enterance to the side of the building I wanted. The instructor left a dumbell to prop open the door. So I made it to class on time. I did it...yeah me. Oh..and I burned 410 cal this morning.

babenwaiting 09-14-2009 09:25 AM

:welcome: Nate, twilight and Katie! I'm sure we can all accomplish a lot before Halloween! :badbat:

bobsgal, congrats on the weight loss! That is super ... :balloons:

babybluess, GREAT JOB getting to your exercise! Getting your butt in there is the hardest part ... :)

My balanced scale is starting in the "other direction" so I'm happy! :p

Lori, I hope we will hear good news about your niece today!

Have a great week, all. :witch:

emileigh 09-14-2009 09:41 AM

I'll jump in with a goal for October 31st.

Today 180--October 31st 172.

Below is my September goal which I may not reach, but whether I do or not, I will roll it all up and go for 172 by the end of October.

Starzmom 09-14-2009 11:04 AM

Bobsgal...Good for you!:carrot:
Dave..Like you I had a bad saturday..healthy stuff just too much! I also had a great sunday! Planning on a great monday, too!

Losing4another 09-14-2009 01:17 PM

I always gain on monday's....I should learn to stay off the scale on Mondays.

Lori- Hope everything is okay!

Beverlyjoy- good to hear :) Was worried when you said gallon :yikes:

NYAGirl 09-14-2009 01:28 PM

I would like to join this challange I know I'm kind of late. My goal is to lose 10 lbs by Oct. 31

Lori259 09-14-2009 01:50 PM

My neice is doing ok as far as I have heard today~but will have months of rehabilitation Just to walk again.THE POOR GIRL (I think I mispelled that~I am having a bad day so bear with me~TOM IS GETTING ME DOWN~along with worrying about my niece)

WELCOME TO EVERYONE NEW!!!~I HOPE YOU HAVE A TERRIFIC CHALLENGE!

babyblues~Glad to hear you made it to your first day of exercise~WAY TO GO!

babenwaiting~glad to hear your scale is going in the other direction!!!

Losing4another~Hope Tuesday is great for you.

bobsgal~GOOD JOB!!!

David~I agree with babenwaiting One ouuta of 2 aint bad!

ANYONE I MISSED~SORRY MY BRAIN IS SAYING TODAY SUCKS~LOL
My tom Has been giving me one heck of a time this round!
I gotta go exercise it's the only thing that makes these horrible cramps go away.

I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A BLESSED DAY.

Chele615 09-14-2009 05:09 PM

I thought that I was pretty good this weekend, but the scale was not cooperating. It jumped up like 3 pounds! However, I weighed myself this afternoon and was the same as I was yesterday morning, so hopefully it's starting back down in the right direction.

This is going to be a long week!! haha I definitely got spoiled having short work weeks the past two weeks. Having to go to work 5 days in a row? So overrated ;)

Starzmom 09-15-2009 08:40 AM

Lori..I'm rooting for your niece to make a full recovery.
NYAchick...You can do it!
I had a couple of bad days followed by a couple of good ones..so I'm back where I started for this challenge..but I'm hopeful I'll continue the good trend!

Lori259 09-15-2009 10:35 AM

chele~hopefully your full work week goes well for ya~As far as the scale~Mine goes back and forth different times of the day (And month HAHA)
I have had as much as 5lbs differences throughout the day.
So I wouldn't worry since it went back to your original.
Glee is in one more day~SO DON'T FORGET to watch it the next morning!!!!

starzmom~We all have those moments~So don't sweat it~just do your best and you will have good results.
My niece is doing alot better~But has a long road ahead of her.
She is pretty well paralized on her right side and is having slurred speech so hopefully she will be able to walk again and talk ok~She is alive though on A better note~And that is sooooo Important for her child to have its momma.
Hopefully where she is young Her brain will heal more so~I aint sure how all that is but I Hope she has a full recovery.

Well ,I rode my exercise bike for 7 minutes straight yesterday!!!
I was so proud of myself ~LOL~I know thats kinda silly~but I was at just 3 minutes for awhile there.

When I was alot younger and more into exercising I use to ride an old exercise bike I had 30 miles a day...Not sure how many minutes.

This one I have does not have mileage~I think it's older than the one I use to have ~LOL! But It gives me a workout.

Well I got some errands to run today~will type again soon.

HOPE EVERYONES DAY GOES WELL

R.I.P. PATRICK SWAYZE!
