Height: Tall enough for my feet to reach the ground
Grammy, you can come clean at my house..lol
Irish, we all go through those "just lose something this week and I will be happy" phases. It sux, but at least if the scale doesn't go up we are doing something right..lol
Zenor- Glad your feeling better!
Well I weighed this morning I am down 1 more lb!!!!!! I am only 11lbs from goal! I am just amazed!
OK so I don't post much so if this has been addressed a lot previously perhaps someone can point me to the thread.
I've been calorie counting for months but just doing it on my own. I want to use an online program, and I noticed a lot of people here use fitday. But each time I use fitday I have trouble finding the foods I eat, so then I end up having to google it and hand enter it and it's a huge pain. So yesterday I was googling a lot of items and I kept finding those items on the daily plate. Is there some reason that people use fitday rather than daily plate? Daily plate seems a LOT easier to use.
Thanks :-)

I use fit day but I also put in my own foods. I don't like any of the readings on the pre entered foods on any of the sites. I take the amounts right off packages, add together the ingredients I use for things like meatloaf and search of anything else that I don't have amounts for. I like being in control of what my fit day says is in things. I have used both daily plate and fit day. I just happen to like fit day better.
Wow, grammy, you have been busy! Makes me tired just reading your post. LOL I know what you mean about downsizing, though. I used to like a Victorian look with the layers, little lace cloths on every table (starched, of course into little scallops, lol) and now, the less and more streamline my house is, the better I like it!! There is an auction about 2 miles from me, they auction on Tuesdays and Saturdays and about every two months, I take a carload to be sold. I'm just tired of stuff I don't use!
Irish Fairy--Have you tried going low carb for several days? That usually knocks me loose. I am trying really, really hard to reach "Deuceland" by this weekend. Last night I weighed exactly 300 lbs, then this morning, I was back up to 302...arrggghhh! Enough to pull my hair out! But I've done my low carb days and usually when I "switch" over to low fat/cal counting from low carb, I lose a couple of pounds, so I'm really expecting to be in Deuceland by Monday if not before.. I also use Alli, btw. Every little bit helps at my age. LOL
Location: Seattle, but an Original CA girl! I miss the sunny days!

Hello All!!!!
Well I recieved wonderful news from my visit today at the Dr.'s My blood pressure is stable. It was 110/80, way better than the last time I was at the Dr.s 140/98! We agreed to track my blood pressure everyother day and, I will go for a follow up visit in two weeks. Then will decide what to do BC wise. Either I stay on my pills, or do the Implanon. It's like birthcontrol in an implant that goes in rod, into your arm.
Thanks for all the compliments on the ring. The hardware is actually not too heavy, but I wanted something practical. Since I'm the back-up nurse assistant also, I don't want to scratch anyone.
GrammyL- LOL I rarely want to wear short sleeve shirts, because I get all self concious about my arms. That's why I am strength training and working out. I may not be losing on the scale, but I am losing inches this week. The body is catching up the loss. Sounds like you were on busy mama! I am going to donate alot of clothes to goodwill this weekend too. I want to make room for new future clothes! LOL!
Shy- Woohoooo on the loss! Keep it up lady!
Gaia- Deuceland. I love that!!! Sending you good thoughts to get to Deuceland!
Tink! That is fantastic news!!! Way to go! Hope you can get off the meds completely!!
Implanon--never heard of that! I have "elevated" BP...it's not real bad--the worst was 160/95 (but I was sick) It usually runs about 135/80....I do take pills, though, so not having to remember to take them would be good! Hopefully if I get this weight off I can stop all together, but not likely as my Mom was skinny as a rail and had high BP. Runs in the family...oh well.
I don't restrict my salt, though....I'm not a big salt eater, but I don't "count" it either. Maybe I should--I know there is a lot of hidden salt in foods. I'd also probably lose a lot of water weight...
Thanks Tink and Paula! I'm really excited about getting into the 200s again.
Congrats on your loss, Paula, every pound is one pound closer!! You go girl!!
