Hi..is there room for one more? I'm from Mass. Near the Cape. I have 3 kids (11,8, and 6) married for 12 years to a wonderful man whom I adore and I'm a professional housecleaner (so I can be home with my kids....I only clean while they're at school). I am brand new to calorie counter and I refuse to weigh in everyday...been there done that. In 2005 I went from 223 to 146 in 7 mos (was on Fat Flush Plan) and managed to keep it off for the better part of 2006 and 2007 but put it on record fast in 2007...right back up to 214. Diet/binge/diet/binge....you know the drill...I'm trying to shed my all or nothing attitude. Not weighing is key. I figure I'm going to eat what I want in moderation and count it.... and exercise...if the scale doesn't move....so be it. I refuse to give up entire food groups...it's unsustainable. Anyway...that's my story....

Still ~ I would love to help but I just keep finding more to around our place. I don't understand where the energy is coming from but I will take it while I can get it.
Gaia ~ I think its a clutter thing. I have a small place and if I eliminate the clutter I have less to clean around and it feels more fresh and airy inside. I like to be able to clean my house in about an hour from front to back. There are better things to do in life then spend it cleaning house and dusting trinkets. My DH works out of town so like you I am more or less a single person running the show so the less time I have to spend doing house work the better.
Tinky ~ That is fantastic news. Before they make any decisions on what to do for your blood pressure make sure they know your on this program because its so low is sodium. There are many weeks I lose lots of weight, then the follow week I lose inches and it switches back and forth. I really work my arms also because I hate that flabby crap on the back. LOL! I hear you. I got rid of winter cloths because I want to be to small for them in the fall. I am getting frustrated with myself this week because I am so hungry I keep breaking but I will never stop trying. Part of it was me, I wasn't doing the preworkout meals and I need them because apparently I am getting my metabolism cranked up. I ate my preworkout breakfast this morning and for some reason I feel satisfied today where all this week I had just a regular breakfast and was starving all day long. This week I did full body sculpting 4 times because I really want to see results and I think that might be why the weight loss is slow but I want to be firm when the weight is gone.
TCMM ~ Welcome to our group and look forward to getting to know you.
Last night DH came home because he bummed his knee up at work and needed an MRI. After the MRI we went to Red Lobster and I was rather proud of myself. I had a couple of things I shouldn't but I limited it. DH was happy because all the more for him. Then I went home and cut the lawn, gave the dog a bath because he found something stinky to roll in and went to bed. So I figure I skipped my evening snack to make up for eating the naughty stuff. It all balanced out with a tiny loss this morning. Better than the gain I usually have from eating out.
Another beautiful morning here in Michigan. Swept/mopped the floor, got my meals around, me around, made the bed and took one of the dogs for a walk before work. We have one energetic dog and one lazy. The lazy one just looked at me and laid back down. The dog had a hard time keeping up this morning because he wanted to do the boy dog thing and I wasn't slowing down. LOL! I don't know why but my energy levels are out the roof right now but at night when I go to bed I crash. I like it!
TCMM ~ You crack me up about the winter insulation. For the past couple of years I freeze in the winter time because I lost some of mine. I sometimes wonder how cold I will be when I lose the rest. BRRRR!
Location: Seattle, but an Original CA girl! I miss the sunny days!

Gaia- The best part is that I am not on meds for BP, I walked in scared that I would need it, but the Doc said if I keep this trend up, I will not need it. Woohoo! LOL the Implanon is a birthcontrol, that is in a little rod, that is injected into the arm. It is good for 3 years, and only releases progesterone.
TCMM and Kmac!!! Welcome aboard!!
RockNRoll- Great job on the work out!!
Shy- knocking on wood that I won't need stuff for BP
GrammyL- Yeah I am not anticipating a monumental loss this week, though I have lost some inches around my body. Though that hasn't stopped me from looking at the scale constantly. LOL! I am still a Scale-a-holic! I did mention to my Dr. that I am on this plan. She approves of it. I think I was more shocked about that, than them being shocked about my BP. Usually they want you to follow their plan. I better consult the book again for the pre-workout meals. LOL! Congrats on not going too crazy at Lobster Rojo. I know I do love their cheddar biscuits.
Speaking of dogs, is it true that a female dog, who has been spayed can go through mock heat? I think my Pug is a bit off her rocker lately. I mean more than usual! LOL!
We're going to have a beautiful weather today, it is suppose to be 87!!!!!!!!!! Yowza! But It should be nice. Well everyone, take care and enjoy your Friday! Wooohoooo FRIDAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!
Tinky ~ Ironically most doctors do approve of this plan. A few people that I talk with have to tweak it because the have the opposite problem of most people. Like low blood pressure. Those are exactly what got me at Red Lobster but I limited it to two and DH ordered the stuffed mushroom appetizer and I just ate 2 and he at the rest of everything. I also had a garden salad with their red wine dressing on the side so just a little cheat their with dipping my fork in it. I lost .2 lbs, not much but considering I ate out that is good for me.
I imagine they do because humans still do. Everything is still there to my knowledge and tis the season. LOL! Our male that is fixed still tries this time of year. HAHAHA! To bad they are both males.
I have always been one to skip the pre-workout meals but I need it apparently because I don't feel famished today after including. It is strongly advised by the program to do this because it will fuel your body for the workout. If you skip it you may not receive the full benefits of the workout because your body doesn't have the fuel to burn. I just added two eggs whites and a piece of fruit. I usually skip it because I am to full to move after I add the extra but what I did this morning was eat my regular breakfast then waited 10 minutes and ate the egg whites and fruit. Didn't seem so bad that way but to just sit down and eat it all at once was to much. I felt like a hog eating 2 oz turkey, 2 egg whites, 1/2 c. oatmeal and an orange but it was nice to have that much to eat. LOL!
Suppose to be 70 here today and then cool right off so I am taking the afternoon off to finish the lawn, brush my pony, grocery shopping and fill my vehicle up before I get my GS. I was going to drive my pony but the stinker is hurting from eating to much grass so he is off the pasture for a while. To much grass is bad for him but its hard for me not to allow him to have it because I know he likes it and he always looks at me with those big brown eyes and talks to me waiting to be turned out but its for his own good and I keep reminding myself of it. I wouldn't let a diabetic eat a bag of candy and I can't let my pony eat the grass.
Have a great weekend and talk to you all on Monday.
thanks for the warm welcome everyone - (lol I thought that dancing thing <--- was a hot dog) My mission today is to buy a scale - I threw mine oout about 2 months ago becasue I was getting so upset when I stepped on it - seemed eaiser to just not even look! But I need one so when I get my ticker thingy I know what weight I am - and Im gonna try really really hard to only step on it once a week!
Need to get my rear in gear soon, I only worked a few hours this morning, and need to get a box ready to ship out to my daughter who is expecting my first grandbaby next month!!!! Yea Im so excited

There is no reason to give up anything. I eat the required amounts of each food group each day. One day 3 or 4 bread/cereal one day 5 or 6, the dietitian/nutritionist said this was ok. I make sure I get all the required amounts of the other food groups each day. I stay within some general ranges of calories, fats and carbs for myself. This journey isn't about doing without. This journey is about eating a healthy diet. I have enough calories, carbs and fat left over each day for some kind of snack ( aka something not in a food group like m&m's or a mountain dew ). Wait a min, mountain dew is its own food group isn't it lol.
We're going to have a beautiful weather today, it is suppose to be 87!!!!!!!!!! Yowza! But It should be nice. Well everyone, take care and enjoy your Friday! Wooohoooo FRIDAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!
It was a balmy 92 here just over the mountain from you! No wind either! It was muggy. What happened to spring? It seems like it went from winter straight into summer. Ick!
I'm such a bad forumer, I read a bit here and there, but I can't keep up with chats
remember when I was here before and the whole "I'm back on track" story?
well, I totally suck
after whole falling-off-plan-getting-back-on thing, I got sick and had a terrible cough and I totally lost my voice. I had a fever and felt weak, so I spent 3 days on the couch watching tv
I didn't log my calories because I had to eat honey to save my throat from being coughed out my neck, and I figured, since I had to eat honey, which is loaded with calories, I'll be totally off plan, so why bother... and last week my TOM came, and I had two herpes outbrakes ( acc. to Wikipedia, it's "colloquially called cold sores" , in Croatia we call it herpes, plain and simple ), one on my left nostril and the other one on my jawline and it itched like ****
to top it all, I have a major college crisis, two exams in two days and I am so frustrated that I lost last two weeks for nothing
I'm maintaining, but it doesn't make me happy, it just means I could have lost 6 pounds and I haven't
today was good, I'm on plan, and this time I WILL STAY ON PLAN!!! (I'm trying to get it in my head )
tinky - the ring looks beautiful and I'm happy that your blood pressure is normal
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. I've had a lot of success in the past with calorie counting, but just never seem to be able to stick with it. I'm really looking forward to participating in these message boards, because I think this will help give me the motivation to make a permanent change. Can't wait to meet you all!

Hello and welcome. Counting calories, fats and carbs has been working for me. With fit day it is so easy to do. My most important tools are measuring cups, measuring spoons, a food scale and this site. I really find encouragement and support that I need at this site. Just as important I find accountability here too.
